Why would you be banned? I don't think anyone in this thread would disagree with you. While I didn't expect anything redeeming for Thane's storyline, I guess I was expecting....more. An epic space battle or something. Not a ME movie prequel.

I wanted an epic space battle. I wanted a little more than a "So be it. The cycle continues." troll after I told Casper to go get bent. But I guess boss fights are "too video gamey." I can't believe they really said that about not having a big boss fight at the end. Too video gamey...lol...what have I been playing for the past 5 years? Checkers?

I didn't expect anything at all in regards to Thane with the EC. I didn't even expect them to take the time to make a flashback. While not pleased with the game as a whole, I am going to just keep asking for more Thane. Or begging, whichever works.

That's probably why I'm in such a sad state. I should never have watched that video before I had to go to work.

I still don't understand something though...why did Garrus say they had to leave? I honestly don't understand why but I haven't played it myself, so maybe I missed something.

I... I am a very sad panda right now Just need to vent that. I feel like I'm going to sleep about as well as I did after I beat the game. Just glad I didn't actually play through it this time. The endings have this insidious affect on me where I gradually feel worse and worse lol. Ugh, goodnight folks.

@utaker.. you are handy with Bik files and videos ? I extracted all the bik from the DLC.. We could do a youtube mixing the endings: shoot the star brat, get reapers to leave and fix the mass effect relays, save EDI and geth and still show Sheppard breathing at the end.

PM me if you are interested. I can show you how to get the bik files out of the dlc

@Shell, I didn't get Garrus, I got Javik (thanks my brother in trolls) telling Joker they had to leave, they had no choice. Hackett ordered him to retreat to the rendezvous point. In Joker's defense, he didn't want to, it was written all over his face. But Javik told him he had no choice and all Joker said was, "dammit" and then proceeded to leave.

Here's one, try the Control ending. It's really creepy. You get Shepard talking all weird and then you can see where she has controlled the Reapers into rebuilding the mass effect relays.

@Renmiri, I have the flashback files already pulled because I was going to change them all to Thane. But yeah, I do know how to extract them. I will PM you tomorrow, if you don't hit me first. Right now I can't keep my eyes open.

I finally got around to playing the ending with my Shepard. She romanced Kaidan in ME1 then Thane in ME2 and stayed loyal to Thane in ME3.

Her flashback consisted of Anderson, Mordin and Thane.

I admit that it was nice to see Thane as the last person she thought of before she died.

Garrus was the one to urge Joker to leave.

Javik and Garrus joined Joker outside the ship when it crashed.

Legion was the only one to appear in the flashback with the voice-over.

I think that if a dead character appears in the first set of flashbacks they won't appear in the second, hence Mordin and Thane not appearing again.

Garrus was the one to put her name up on the memorial wall.

Speaking of Garrus, I saw on the Garrus thread that there's a new scene before the beam for Garrusmancers. Garrus gets hurt and Shepard calls the Normandy to pick him and Liara up. It's a nice scene for the romancers and the characters get to say they love each other during what could be the last chance either of them will ever see each other again.

Why am I bringing this up on the Thane thread? Well, it just makes me sad that this kind of consideration wasn't shown to Thane when he got stabbed by the cereal killer. Shepard and Garrus were in the middle of a war zone with Reapers in the near vicinity but Shepard still manages to show concern for her LI, make sure he gets to safety and take a final opportunity to tell him she loves him.

With Thane we were never given the option to express anything like that during the litte interaction we got with him. It makes me really sad. I will try to keep hoping for DLC to add decent content for him and to stick around and support the projects to the best of my ability. It's really all we can do at this point.

I got that scene in my Garrus playthrough. It is very sweet. I've also seen the one Liara gets on youtube. Everyone but the ME2 LI's get something like that.

I agree that it just made me sad. You can see the kind of effort they put into those goodbyes, but they treated Thane as an afterthought.

Exactly, JECW. The non-squad LIs were treated so poorly in comparison to squad love interests. And FemShep exclusive LIs got the worst of it (Thane and Jacob). At least with the destroy ending, Miranda and Jack fans can headcanon Shepard meeting their LI again along with the Tali/Garrus/VS/Liara fans. We do not have that luxury since our LI is always dead no matter what, which is so upsetting. Destroy seems to be the most popular ending just because it provides the opportunity/possibility that Shepard will reunite with the LI.

Exactly.
Miranda and Jack fans got to see pictures of their LI. You could even see Jacob.
We can't headcanon anything. If they don't fix this that leaves us left out of any future DLC.

*Perpetually Drunk Shepard walks in to the Shuttle Bay. She's wearing a dress (bloody awful; thanks Allers...). All eyes turn to her.*

Jack- "Damn Shep! Did you try and nuke that dress? WTF?"

PDS- "Solid-arity, baldy! I'm makin' a stand for ALL Drellls!"
*The dress appears to have been dyed green.....poorly. Splotches of green dye smudge her body, and her hands......*
Vega- " Ya know Lola, you keep that up and you can go blind too. Comprende <grin>?"

PDS- "Heyyyy monkey man, get yur mutton ass over here and show me wutcha got!"
*PDS stands in the middle of the Bay with her hands balled up into little lime colored fists.*
Jack- "HA! Oh, please let her kick you ASS. Hey, Cortez, 20 creds on Shep....you in??"

Cortez- "Fish in a barrel, hermana. No bet!"
*Vega approaches Perpetually Drunk Shepard, and bobs his head a few times....gives her a fake out, and BAM.....right to the....lady bits???? Not cool, man.*

Vega- " ***T! Sorry Commander, your taller than I realized. You ok?"

Jack- "WTF Vega??? No cash for you. Aaaaaand, I might suggest you stay outta her hair for the next few days."

PDS- "ehhhhhhhhhh......mmmmmmm.....gah...<bastart>"

Thane in Hallucination Form- "Siha, rest easy. I will dispose of the man-child."
*Thane riles up all his Ectoplasmic strength and sends a grappling hook (yeah, they got them...shuddup!) hurling towards his head. <thunk>*

Thane in Hallucination Form- "Your body is dust. Go to the sea. Booya, muthaf**ka!"
*PDS crawls on all fours to the elevator.....***k, thank god it's a long ride.*


Next morning

*Perpetually Drunk Shepard is still wearing the horrifically green dyed dress, and has added a new stunning accessory. She walks into the War Room only to trip over a spherically shaped body.*

PDS- "***k! Who put this volus here.....damnit!"

EDI- "He is a War Asset, Shepard. Can I help you with anything?"
*The volus gets back up, reaches towards PDS's chest. He tries to grab the detached head of one Kermit the Frog, hung around her neck like a talisman.*

PDS- "Handsoff....ya grabby little Weeble Wobble. My drell!"
*PDS grabs at the kermit head.....from atop the head, stuffed into it's stuffin', she pulls out a Two Shot of Jagermeister. Cracks the bottle open, downs it in half a breath, and chucks the bottle at the Primarks head....then flips him da bird.*

EDI- "Commander, may I assist you with anything."

PDS- "Shutit, terminator! Im gunna make a phone call."
*PDS heads to the Com room, and calls up Anderson*

Anderson- " Shepard. You never returned my call about the Asari Delegates. I thi_"

PDS- "Shhh! I wanna show you sumthing.....You dint give me my letters from Thane."
*Just then, Garrus and Kaidan walk in. PDS pulls an old wrinkled copy of Fornax from....well, you don't wanna know, k? Just leave it at that. PDS opens the mag and shoves the centerfold (a, ummm, well endowed Drell) into the face of Garrus.*

PDS- "This is wut I was supposed to have! Not sum booberry, not sum crackpot biotic wif buggy eyes. This!!"

Garrus- "ACK! Can't unsee what I've seen! <swat>"

Kaidan- "Damn Shepard, what the hell......<squints at picture>. On second thought.....kudos."

Anderson- "The entire galaxy is on the brink of extinction and THIS is what I have to deal with?? Fine....Go find this Dell and get it on board now!! Anderson out!"

PDS - <whispers> drell.
*PDS curls onto the floor, stroking the centerfold disturbingly.*

Thane in Hallucination Form- "Hmmph. If they only knew. That Drell is average at best."
*Thane puffs his chest out*

Legion- "Krios-Drell. Impressive."

PDS- "Thane....<drool>

Jacobmancers actually get to see him teaching a class. I have no idea what EMS and choices get this though but it is on the DLC file

Thank you for that comment Mythlover20. It brought me to tears. I lost my dad to cancer 2 weeks ago and watching someone die slowly and in agony is the most awful thing anyone could ever witness. My mum and I were with him at home until his very last breath and that image will haunt me forever.
Kolyat didn't deserve that and having people post that Thane deserved to die because he was terminally ill makes me sick to my stomach. No one seems to have any compassion for another human being. I just don't understand why it's such an issue to be given a choice that makes other people happy.
