@myth: I have a better idea, just send those idiots to me. I sure do need a punching bag nowadays.

How about I give you half? I need some bones to sharpen my knives on.

Sounds like a plan to me.

*hug* Porcelyn. I'm so sorry.

I'm not going to tell you it get's better, because it doesn't. But you will learn to tune it out after a while.

I wasn't even there either. Our doc put Dad into hospital 3 days before he died, because Mum and I just couldn't take care of him (because Mum was starting to get sick then too). My father died, alone, in a hospital bed, surrounded by strangers, because we couldn't look after him anymore, and I HATE that.

I know your father would have appreciated that, even if he wished he didn't cause you that pain. I only wish I had been able to be there with mine.

This is what's cursed us, you know. We have lived through this, and they haven't. They will NEVER understand until they have to go through what we have. I try not to hate them, but I just can't help it. That those bastards can truly think that makes me wish I was not a member of the human species. Having an opinion is one thing, but denying others theirs is another, and I'm rambling and have lost my train of thought.

I'm sorry. I'm just... I'm gonna go wash my face and take some headache pills, okay.

Damn it I hate crying.

*hugs* I am sorry you weren't there. That's awful, I can't imagine what you must feel not having gotten to say good bye. I think Thanemancers are special people. Did you see Keythe Farley's new fb post? He said he is a fan of ours. Very sweet.

Thanks hon.

I agree, Thanemancers are special people.

Would it be wrong of me to beat idiots senseless? Oh wait, never mind, they apparently don't have the extra sense to spare. I hate to say it but those who are against choice fail worse than ME3. There are better ways to state your opinion than "Thane MUST die because he said he was. You should not get a choice." WTF is that? A better statement of opinion would be, "Thane said he was dying, he did. I believe his death was great but if some really wanted to save him then let them. I won't be one of those but more power to those who do."

Yes, as Thanemancers a lot of us have experienced enough pain and grief in our personal lives than most. I do have enough dealings with death to last me forever and I don't appreciate it being shoved down my throat in a game of choice. A game of choice are the key words. There is forced death all over the FF games but they are not about choice. It is what it is and I don't go on about it because not once did Square ever say, "FF is about choices." Although, FFXIII-2 did introduce some dialogue choices and an ending choice. But choosing one ending knocks out hours of play time by not going the other route. I do mean hours, seems like endless hours actually.

It would be nice if people would just grasp the simple concept of separate game plays. What I do in mine has no bearing on what happens on yours. If I decide to side with the Geth and Tali kills herself, she isn't going to magically poof out of your game.

My patience has ended. I can't go there anymore, because seeing posts stating that "Thane's about the least problematic thing that needs a DLC right now." makes me sick. Some people came there just to spit in our faces. I can't force myself to write any polite response now.

Sorry Squee... I just can't read what people are saying in that thread anymore, I'm far too upset/disappointed with what as been said already.

I did what I could in the thread. Very disappointed to see Tully, of all people, in there being one of the ones spouting the same old rubbish, though.

My sincerest sympathies and biggest virtual hugs to you, Porcelyn.

BW just needs to come out say, one way or the other, what they're going to do with Thane.

Give him extra content/DLC? Cool, I'll take it. Nope, we're not adding anything? I'll be sad, but at least I know where they stand and not continually beat my head against the wall.

I'm just tired of "officals" coming in, saying the same tired old stuff like "you knew he was dying" and yet be tight lippe regarding any additional content.

Either let his fans know if your going to do something or not. At least then people could decide if they wanted to keep fight for Thane or not.

Ollo everyone!
I've been reading this thread and I have participated in every Thane project I could, but this is my first post. I'm not very comfortable with writing in English, so please excuse my mistakes.

I just finished the EC and I'm not sure about how I feel.
It was nice to see Thane in the first flashback, but that doesn't solve the real problem...

I have to say that I've been amazed by your imagination and all the projects you came up with. These past months, reading your messages gave me hope, and made me laugh when I needed it.
Thank you for that

Now the EC is out, and we must continue to fight.

Ok folks, I've posted in that thread.

I was quiet the last few weeks waiting to see the endings. I admit they were ok, and I'm glad I got a Thane flashback, but there is nothing wrong with starting a thread about Thane DLC. It doesn't even HAVE to be just about Thane.
@Wahukeza - you're ideas were brilliant and I quoted you in that thread. If the idiots are out in full force again, then so be it. I'm back with a vengeance.

Also, perhaps we should check out the HTL community - seems more civil. BSN really seems to have gone down hill :( (Thanemancers and some others excluded!)

@Dine - I agree - either say yes or no. And I too was disappointed to read Tully's comments. I thought he understood, even just a little. It's so weird to me that they are so hellbent on killing Thane.

Hi fellas,

Even though I have never romanced Thane on my FemSheps playthrough, I strongly feel that Thane deserves a much more richer and fuller romance arch. I've seen the romance playthroughs of Thane back in ME2, and I thought he was going to be a great LI. Unfortunately, we all knew how it turned out.

I wish you guys the best.

Thank you for the support!  Most of us think that Thane just deserved more time in ME3 - romanced or not.  But the romance was really lacking.

DineBoo: Yeah, that's the worst part... the way that they just seem too afraid to admit whether or not they're going to do about it, or even acknowledge the fact that we have a problem with how Thane was handled.

Kevchy: Thanks for your support, always appreciated from those who may not have romanced him.

Welcome Sparky! I felt the same way about the EC, but now that it's out we're more likely to hear about single player DLC additions. Fingers crossed for something Thane. Agreed, as someone who's only joined relatively recently too, it amazes me at the great amount of work and dedication that those fighting for Thane have been doing since ME2 days. A great group we have here.

Cosmo, RShara: Thanks, good to have you by my side!

Reading the thread inspired me to start a new work, it's super rough at the moment but here's a WIP

(yes, I'll redraw our least favourite cereal killers face for the final piece, just needed a rough idea of where his features would be... plus it made me laugh)

Welcome Sparky, glad you've decided to speak :)
I'm glad the flashback was fixed but you're very right the real problem is what happened before :pinched: I don't think i can ever forgive them.

@Kevchy thanks for your support, we need it in here on days like these.

@Wahukeza that picture is perfect, I can't wait to see the finished product.

Morning, drell-lickers!!  I posted in the Thane DLC thread.  I don't know if my skin is getting thicker, or that fact that those that parrot the same thing over and over just don't mean anything to me anymore.  Simply put, their feelings on the matter just don't mean a 'thang to me!  I know what I want, why I want it, just as I probably won't change their minds, they won't change mine, and in the end; what we get is what we get.  Either BW will add more content, choices for Thane, or they won't.  Still standing here with my wants nonetheless.Posted Image

Anyway, here is where I posted if anyone is interested:  POST

Sorry for double post, but......

@Danteliveson - We are not sure why/how the flashback mechanics are working, but it does seem to be sort of random. We have heard from people who romanced/didn't romance him, liked him/didn't like him, and some have seen him in the flashback, and some haven't. We also know that most that saw him in the first flashback, often won't seem him in the memorial wall retrospective....so not sure about the triggering.

@Roarkshop13 - WELCOME!! cake and booze? Too early?

Ok folks - Dine we may have our answer. Tully just tweeted that "outside the Thane threads, there is a large percentile that don't want the experinced trivialized.

That refers to Thane's death, I assume?   Surely having more time with Thane, even if it's just more than one conversation or a better conversation than we got, wouldn't "trivialize" his death?  I mean, I would love a cure for Thane to keep him around, but I really have lost all hope for that.  Now I only have (very little) hope that BW will realise that one conversation with Thane (all about him dying from a new disease) was never enough.  And that not having him down as an LI was not fair.
