Ok folks - Dine we may have our answer. Tully just tweeted that "outside the Thane threads, there is a large percentile that don't want the experinced trivialized.
That refers to Thane's death, I assume? Surely having more time with Thane, even if it's just more than one conversation or a better conversation than we got, wouldn't "trivialize" his death? I mean, I would love a cure for Thane to keep him around, but I really have lost all hope for that. Now I only have (very little) hope that BW will realise that one conversation with Thane (all about him dying from a new disease) was never enough. And that not having him down as an LI was not fair.
Giggle/laugh And what are the sources for "outside the Thane threads, there is a large percentile that don't want the experience trivialized." I mean come on....first this wouldn't even BE an arguement or issue if the choice (based on loyalty/romance) had been presented from the very beginning. And you know I am going to start assuming things about Tully based on his avatar alone (Kai-lover??)...HA! I think it is a load of BS anyway.
Evil Chris had posted a question over at HTL, about "what was the WORST thing about me3" (and I know a fair number of you have posted there...go team!), and you know what the most common post was??? Kai Lame! I think BECAUSE we are stuck with the pseudo cereal ninja, people grasp at whatever they can to make it seem less rediculous. Seeing "our" assassin go after that Space Samurai at least grabbed your attention.....but even most of them HATED that nonsensical fight. Now that doesn't mean I know the "numbers" on who thought it was great how he died (or simply THAT he died), but again, doesn't really matter. Should have been a different story line set up from the beginning for Thane, and I have ZERO doubt that with the exception of a few who just like to be contrarians, these people wouldn't have had a problem with Thane being given a chance to extend his life. Hell, if they had just stuck with the already established lore, he would have most likely lived until (or near the end) the end of the game. And any life extending could have come from his general health, his will, or some medical aid that fits the lore (Eupolmus Device, new Antibiotics courtesy of a Quarian/Hanar/Salarian (wuteva) medical research, lung transplant while we were under house arrest...ya gets the point.) So adding in the choice now makes just as much sense as anything. They may choose not to, but that doesn't mean putting this in is bad writing...no, no. We already got that.
