I just can't believe that they are still choosing to listen to bunch of people who dont' care about Thane and who aren't even that vocal. For some asinine reason their experience is more important than ours. We are the ones who did the romance and know this character better than anyone on BSN, and we are the ones who have to suffer. They only care about money, which means they only care about majority, when artistic direction is wholly based on what's most popular... this is what you get.  A huge steaming pile of one dimensional crap.  They don't care, they know that it genuinely upset some fans, made them unhappy, and they still have the gall to make statements like those made by Tully Ackland today.  They think that if they keep saying it that eventually it will be true, but it will always just be cowardly spin, hiding behind the troll viewpoint.

It took all my self control to not get into a pis*ing match in that other thread.

I love how most of the people that "like" or defend Thane's treatment in ME3 do one of the following things:

A-- Put it in the context of "ME3 not being a dating service" or some crap like that.  Not only is that argument insulting to Thane supporters, but it ignores the major problem, namely, that Thane was incredibly poorly written in ME3.

or

B--  Insist that everything in ME3 was totally in his character;  which they don't know is inaccurate because they never took the time to actually romance him.

or

C-- Think that his fight scene with Kai Leng made his death worthy and awesome.  I'm pretty sure most of these arguments come from men under the age of 25.

or

D-- Take the "you knew he was dying from the start" road, which also dismisses the foreshadowing present in ME1 AND ignores the fact that he was poorly written in ME3.

or, lastly,

E-- Insist that other ME2 LIs got worse treatment (Jacob, MAYBE), as if that justifies his poor handling in ME3.

I'm also extremely disappointed by BW's comments about this.  Not as much the comment in the thread, but the Twitter comments, most certainly.  They were dismissive to all of Thane's supporters.

We might be the most vocal proponents in this thread, but there are plenty of other supporters across many other websites, and my guess is that for all the supporters to take their time to voice their opinion on the forums, there are probably hundreds that do not.

BW seems to be taking advantage of every opportunity to ensure that they lose my business as a customer.

I am seriously grumpy right now....

I still call BS on that, too.

BW can certainly figure out how to give players that romanced Thane the option to save him.  In all likelihood, Thane's LIs would want to save him.  If they don't, there's certainly no requirement that they have to.

For a non-romanced Thane, the option to save him doesn't need to exist.  Therefore, for all the (male) players that didn't romance him, and think he was awesome in ME3, that doesn't change or "trivialize" anything.

BW can have their cake and eat it too with this.  They can pretty much make all their customers happy.  However, it seems like they don't want to do it mainly so they won't appear to have caved to the masses.  That's the only conclusion that I can draw at this point.

we're probably supposed to have some kind of epiphany when faced with the towering intellect of *gasp* a Bioware employee!!! 'You're right tully! why didn't you say so before! its all clear to us now'.... buuuuuut we all know he was just spouting ill informed rubbish so bad luck him, and bad luck us for ever trusting BW in the first place.

The one who condescendingly said that they happen to pay more attention to detail than others. Yes, I'm glad the one who watches a youtube video knows more about what he said after he recruited him then say...the one who spent forever datamining, converting, renaming, and uploading 10 pages worth of Thane dialogue. Or those that romanced Thane on multiple playthroughs. I'm sure they do know more.

It's obviously more realistic than a cure for Thane, don't you see that?
A memory, stored in greybox, made him alive...how sweet....and we are being unreasonable wanting to save Thane. Maybe Shepard should find some photo of him, so he could be revived too?

So wait... I'm getting caught up on posts. Tully said that the people not on Thane threads thought his survival would trivialize his character/ game whatever (sound like some depressing people). The people who post/ read the Thane threads are who I believe to most commonly be Thane romancers. Thane was designed as a love interest for female gamers. WTF kind of logic is that! F*** you BW, f*** you.

I have just been in that thread in the story and campaign board, hehe.......how about a nice reunion scene for Kolyat and his Dad then, eh?  Ya know, Thane's death scene always looked a bit off (beyond the body sinking "through" the bed)
looking like his eyes were open, his chest moving AFTER you are locked out of the room.  I say "BORG that boy up!!"  He's good for it, and Kolyat needs his Daddy!

Just steal the one from the Memorial Wall on the Citadel but knowing our luck it was that part of the Citadel that got hit. I know it's a random drell but it looks like him. Good enough for me. Or how about the random drell pic in Allers room that my Shep stole and made all sticky during her nights alone.  

I see something like that about Keiji who was Kasumi's LI and never alive in the game and they get to be together but Thane can't live to see the end of the game.  Oh the butthurt is big with this one.
