The plus side! She won't need any meds for those itchies or hallucinations! Oh yes, a much better ending.
I want to cry at how horrible that scenario is.

That quote from Tully is pretty insulting. Like he's basically telling us our opinions don't matter because we're not the majority. Doesn't matter if we love the character or invested emotionally.
People who don't even care about Thane get to make the decision about what happens to him. Screw the actual fans.
ETA: An option would satisfy the most people but they'd rather alienate Thane fans by taking our choice away.
I don't understand that logic at all.
This exactly.
They seem fine with giving us the short end of the stick. Why does there even need to be a short end to give to someone? How can they not see that not giving all LI's a fair amount of time and OPTIONS is wrong. What they did to Jacob is way wrong but at least he's alive.. I was actually surprised they had included Thane in the EC..i haven't played it..just watched it on youtube.
what did tully say..outside of the thane group a large percentile would not like us to trivialize the experience..
was there a secret poll or something?
back on that "cure thane" facebook ME2 page promotion they had before merging it all into one mass effect page--of all the people that commented about finding a cure for Thane only 12% of the people who said anything said that they would rather not have a cure for Thane.
Trivialize =Make (something) seem less important, significant, or complex than it really is. Well that already happened to Thane in ME3 so i don't see how that's a reason not to fix anything.
what do they still want the ninja fight? It's not that cool but if people are in love with it then let them have it and let the people who see it as the crap that it is have the option to avoid it without consequence to Thane. No reason he has to die no matter what.
This game makes me want to throw up

He wasn't brought back from the dead. Kasumi took his memory box and created a AI/VI. He's not real, he's a program, representing Kasumi's obsession and her inability to let go and move on. His corpse is still rotting in the ground somewhere.
That's not what made us upset. It's the fact that we are being told Thane being brought back in any way would be unrealistic, but they have no problem giving Kasumi hologram Keiji back. That had to be the most ridiculous thing I had ever seen, but it was still there while we are made to feel sill for simply wanting an option to save our favorite character.

I think I get it now, but I don't see what is done with Kasumi as shown in a very positive light. It's undesirable and I wouldn't want my Shepard to be so obsessive. Then again, I really hate all of the synthesis ending and think it's frightening. The whole thing is a horrible, unrealistic, fantasy, utopia, happy ending, bull crap, and I find it funny people are accusing the fans of being unhappy because the ending is dark. The new endings just magnified the problems I see. So, what Kasumi does is logical in that fantasy ending and the same with Shepard and Thane reuniting. If everyone magically lives peacefully, robots magically have DNA, then why can't Thane magically reappear?
Even if they managed to put in Shepard and Thane reuniting in that scenario somehow, I would never pick it because of the principle of the thing. The whole thing kills me.

Not sure if this was posted yet but this is a great description on Thane from ME2 to ME3.
I made that thing. The responses I've got from it have been
interesting. Most people are very supportive and agree. I had one person
say I overreacted to his death in ME3 and there isn't much he can be
doing in ME3 because he's ill.
I said there can be so much story in ME3 for Thane that doesn't involve
him fighting. His loyalty mission didn't need fighting in it and a lot
of people loved it. There could have been a scene where he makes friends
with the VS, a scene where Garrus or Chakwas comes to visit him, a
scene with his son other than his death scene. Hell Miranda doesn't even
have any fighting going on most of the time you go to meet her in the
game. Not till the end.
Also, Thane does have an active threat while he is there. He is under a
false identity while in that hospital, so his enemies don't come take
him out too soon. I'm curious about the precautions taken with his son to prevent a repeat of what happened to his wife. Kolyat could have come under some danger and Shepard could have come to help him.

Wow nice job:) And yeah I agree with what you said about Thane and Kolyat, Thane could have a big role to play in ME3 and not be a squadmate (even though he should be as well as the rest of the ME2 squadmates), and having a mission to help his son would be cool. See more of Kolyat as a person and see how he has change more.Lucky Thirteen wrote...

well this card is from the official Mass Effect card deck that I got in the mail today. King of Hearts is Garrus(Tali is Queen of Hearts, hurr, I wonder why). Though, I prefer Thane as a Jack really. Prince, knight thing, or trickster, rogue thing. Jack of all trades.

Thane's weapon is floating in my drink!!!!!!
Glad I noticed that, imagine if I swallowed Thane's gun.
Psst...While sucking the neck snap off the gun, I noticed Thane's weapon has ridges on it. (snicker)
