But I liked what I read so far as I said I'll add my 2'cs on thnigs but I wanted to say: Good job! The idea is a rather substantional and does focus on the ME2 characters which is is desperately needed alot.

Earlier today, Thane was happily holding his rather large Twizzler. But along came Kai Leng (stepping in for Kai Leng is Matt Hardy..as I don't have a Leng figure).

Took a look at the Romance DLC thread and I love that explanation you posted Coldi. It's very well thought through and frankly I don't understand why BioWare didn't do it in the first place!

Kinda makes me feel that my writing project idea is obsolete now. Though since only utaker and saren replied offering to help i don't think it would have gone anywhere anyway. A lot of people don't seem to actually want to do anything if it requires work, which is kinda sad.

@utaker. I WAS going to ask if you were okay after that bee sting, but I think the pics answered that question for me. Glad it wasn't serious honey.

I'm completely ignoring blacquot now. I won't even bother with him. I'm too tired to do anything anyway.

Ooh! Girls, I'm going to be away for a couple of weeks, because I'm going to Brisbane on Wednesday. Which means a lot of travel time to write in (woo hoo!). finger's crossed I'll actually get stuff done this time. :S

I agree with myth, you can tell lots of work went into that coldi and it's really great. And I do wish BioWare had done that to begin with!

Edit: Also, sorry to hear that about the writing project myth.   I would have loved to have helped, but really I am terrible at writing.  Anything arty - count me in though!

And utaker, those pictures are incredible - I could barely breathe because I was laughing so hard after seeing the first one!

I honestly don't think that they will, but I hope that they will. Does that make sense? The demand would have to be really big, and I've lost any faith in Bioware, but there's still a shred of hope that they will surprise me.

like a kahje dlc with thane and kolyat, a cerberus one with jacob, miranda and jack and so on

Do you really think that BioWare will make a Romance dlc pack? I don't think they would make something strictly for the romancers. All fixes would have to include the non romancers of each character. The only dlc currently based off a single romance character, Liara, was made for both parties. I know my bro would be ****** if there was a fix for Thane and Jacob and he wasn't able to experience it because he didn't romance these two characters. I have people supporting a save option for Thane, but didn't romance him. I think they kinda be mad too.

I don't think so..especially about Thane..I saw Dev post, and they think, that everything with him was OK, and " That was for Thane" line in Cerberus base was  SPECTACULAR  " good-bye with Thane" in theirs minds. Now, after many players liked EC ( while not everyone is romances-in-game fan) it's time for BioEAware finally to grab a cash from ME fanbase...So probably we will see some SP DLCs ( Retake Omega? Leviathan?), maybe it will even include some dialogs with LIs, but I doubt it will be something big ( do You remember DA2 DLCs? )....
Sadly I lost faith that Thane/Jacob romances will be fixed in the way we would like...so I just stuck with my head canon and just moved on from ME franchise ( not interesting in any future DLC)

Agreed. i think it's more likely that they'd given the characters story arcs with content for the romance like Liara, instead of purely romance content.

I'm afraid to say I don't think BioWare will make a Romance DLC. I really, really hope they do, but it seems unlikely. What they might do is add a bit more content with the LIs with other DLC... but probably not much and probably not very soon.

And now (sorry to change the subject) I am looking for some opinions... I designed some shoes over on the Converse website based on Thane a wee while ago, and now I am thinking of actually getting them... what do you think? See anything that needs changing? Any suggestions appreciated

I don't know if they will go out and make a DLC that deals with ONLY romance related stuff. But they are free to make a Mass Effect Dating Sim (with Thane of course). That says a lot right there because I don't play Sims, I don't even like it. I tried it once and the only thrill I got out of that particular game was withholding bathroom privileges from my Sim and having her wet herself. Yeah, I know, I am a bad person. Lots of people play that game, EA published it. I've heard people say that the only way they'd play with aliens if it were in the sims. Go figure.

But I digress, I would imagine if the demand were high enough they would do something even if it meant more romance along with a mission(s). They have already made it known that they are restricted by size limits (2 gig and under) on XBL. To add every LI and a mission for each, well it isn't going to fit in one.

It never hurts to ask and all we can do is gain support for more romance and keep on them about it.

@Beanie...those shoes are great. I'd wear them. I'd probably cause the fainting of my family and get locked up for awhile though. Not because of the obvious Thane theme but my family is under the impression that I own ONE shade...black.

@Myth and @Beanie - Thanks for the looksie, ladies! Myth, if you have story ideas for DLC I still think you should post them. I personally would love to see them. (I do remember your collabrative DLC suggestion, but it must have been when I was viewing the site on my phone....can't post from it. Then of course, I promptly forgot because that is how much of a Ding-Dong I can be. <stinkeye>)

@Beanie - Loved da shoes!! I am actually looking at doing a Thane inspired graphic for a new cycling jersey (hoping to actually do a triatholon next year, if I can get my butt in gear.) Love those colors.

As for Romance DLC, I would agree that the likelyhood of that is slim to none. This is why I have been suggesting (along with others) for months that we push for strong story/gameplay DLC that INCLUDES romance content. It would also allow the LI content to be spread out over multiple SP DLC. For example, I focused on DLC that highlights the underused ME2 squadmates, but that could be played without the ME2 exsquaddies if they are already dead (or you started a play through beginning with me3).
That way the LI's from ME2 that are not me3 squadmates, get a bit more romance content in that DLC (something they SHOULD have got in the main game, but we work with what we got....). Another DLC could focus on story/plot revolving around things brought up during the main game, and utilizes the current me3 squad. In that DLC they could add extra romance content for the me3 LI's. I think everyone gets where I'm going with this, so I will stop rambling. Need coffee.
