Just popping in to say a quick hello and goodbye before I head off in .... *checks time* ... fifteen minutes. I'll be in Brisbane and Maryborough for two weeks and until then I am "officially" internetless. However, that doesn't mean I won't be online, cause if my hotel has wifi you can bet Thane's sweet ass I'll be using it. I just won't be online as often. Fortunately, I have a lot of travel time so I'm anticipating having most of the revisions for the essay done by the time I get back. Cause having only about 20 minutes a day to write before I start work was really peeving me off.

Uh, yeah sorry about that.  That was not my intention.  And, that is not what gets brought up...not bananas, foodstuff, or ridges.  WTF.  You would think that we all would get smacked around for diverting far off protesting his treatment there.  Leave it to my mother to be right.  I tend to draw attention....the WRONG attention.

I really do feel bad for that.  Now, I have screen shots to do.  I have spent I don't know how long tweaking my settings to make sure that Thane doesn't show up so darkened during ME3.  I think I might have a weiner...winner.  His eyes still bother me.

Don't worry about it @utaker.  I'll probably burn a little bit for this, but I actually found the mod coming in kinda funny.  In an ironic way.  Besides, you didn't do anything wrong.  The mod came to the attention of that thread because one of our members notified a mod of trolling.  So no big deal!  Now go look at the weiners.....uhh...winners!

Ahhh...my second guess. Hope all is well with your family/home, ect.

The Protest Thread had a mod come in and do a bit of scolding....to get back on track. We had an interesting mix of posters. <smirk>

Yeah I saw that. It's why I'm also trying to keep the Story Arc thread bumped. A lot of people who read the damn reasons actually end up on our side.

The fire's about 15 miles away with lots of houses in between so we should be okay.  But it was definitely holy crap at the size and nearness of the smoke plume!

It took me awhile to realise you were in the States. It does actually look a bit like a volcanic plume. Tells me how bad it is over there. Keep us updated please.

Whoa... I feel for your state RShara! I hope things get better over there! ♥
 I admit I live in Alabama and it's been hot as hell over here...we've been blessed today for some rain...like I said I hope it gets better and they take out that fire!

We've had a couple dozen various wildfires over the last 2 weeks. Half the state is trying to burn down

But so far there haven't been any fatalities that I know of, and the major cities should be safe. Hopefully we get through tomorrow without too much trouble. They've banned fireworks beyond certain streets. If people would just use their brains a little, we'll be okay.

Although that might be too much to ask, because from what I can see, 90% of the fires have been started by humans.

Most of them from target shooters. Now I have no probs with the 2nd amendment, but how much brain does it take to think, "MAYBE I SHOULDN'T SHOOT THINGS THAT WILL CAUSE SPARKS IN 100 DEGREE DEAD DRY GRASS!" ?

I support the 2nd amendment but yeah your right there are idiots out there who don't understand that shooting in a dry area like that is gonna cause a fire! *shakes head*

You would be surprised at the lack of brains some have. Every year we go through this burning ban which means...DO NOT burn your trash, no fire pits in your yard, no burning your dead leaves, grass, etc. Every year the fire departments get called out numerous times because people do it anyway. Then they whine when they get fined and get stuck with a bill from the county for making the fire departments go out and put out the fires. I've had moments with various neighbors in the past. The property next to mine is rental, so every few years I have a new set of fools to deal with. I will tell them if they dare start any fires over there I will report it. Not that I'm a prude but I'm sorry, I kind of want my house...NOT ON FIRE!

I also hope that things get better for you RShara and hopefully they will get those things extinguished.

*Getting this picture of @utaker in her front yard, as the new "fools" next door get ready to light 30 or so Roman Candles. Cast iron skillet in one hand, phone with finger on speed dial in the other.

That's funny because I have a closet full of Roman Candles, all ready for later on tonight. I know better, I know that the best time to light them is while the city fireworks are going. All the cops and troopers are either in the city or lined up on the outskirts waiting to bust any drivers that may be drunk leaving the fireworks. LOL. Yeah, we aren't exactly allowed to have any kind of fireworks. What is allowed are the poppers, stink bombs, and those stupid snake things. Ugh, those suck.

Every year I go to Phantom Fireworks in Seabrook, NH and stock up. I also fully wet the ground if it hasn't rained either and move my car. But it rained earlier and a couple of days before that, so the ground is good. Now just have to wait until all the pole-eece are busy. Last year for some reason I picked up an awful lot of green colored fireworks...they will be for Thane. Now, I just hope I don't blow myself up.

And I'm partial to the concussion.
