Hi everyone!

I'm somewhat new to the forum (I've been lurking here for a couple months now, and finally decided to get over my shyness and sign up lol) and I wanted to introduce myself as well as let you know that I am completely in awe of all of you. You've all done so much for the Save Thane campaign. It's very impressive.

I'm a HUGE Thane fan, and I was deeply disappointed at how he was treated in ME3. It was very heartbreaking and cruel at what we *weren't* given. I had such high hopes for ME3, I really did.

I know what you mean about disappointed and heartbroken...we all are but we are fighting a good fight here and it's great to see someone new!

well i twittered him, that i wrote an analyzation about his death and that, because he's not able to read it, if he would like to have the url for it.

so i sent the url and he said, that he needed some time, because of sdcc lot of things to do and he was still at meeting. well real responde not yet, but beanie and me decided to retweet it to him on friday

it is... a game should be fascinating, enjoying...

i was fascinated by me3...sometimes...but i was more shocked and hurt... i've never played something like this beofre. i'm ok with death, sure there could be death witin the game, but i should decide if it ends like this or not. i don't want any squaddie to die... i love them all...
a game should be a gratification... but me3 was not for me...it was more shocking...screaming, crying, yelling and in all of it, my karin shepard went into something that she was not in all the 2 games before

Hi y'all. As I mentioned in the other post over on the spoilers forum, I'm normally a Kaidan gal. However, my most current play-through I decided to romance Thane (was always drawn to him immediately.) I was shocked and sorta...hurt...by how the romance was handled in ME3. I mean I expected him to die but I had no idea the romance had been so badly handled. I think I posted here once before..or in another thread somewhere, I've lost track. I feel so silly saying this about a game but it actually left me feeling betrayed to have Thane's romance turn out the way it did. I felt connected to him in ME2 (almost wish I had never romanced Kaidan and went with Thane from the start lol) and to have it so poorly handled in ME3 just...wow. So anyway...hi.

@Squee --- You are so great for starting this next push on the SaveThane movement.  Kudos to you, and I hope we see some positive results from BW about it.  I'll try to add some additional links to my signature, in the hopes that people see them when I'm posting all over BSN regarding the Romance DLC.

@wrecking -- Welcome!  Please pop on over to the Romance DLC thread as well.  Share your opinion/suggestions and take the survey before it closes on Saturday!

THANK YOU so much for posting this.

This is exactly how all of us in here feel.  Betrayed sounds a bit dramatic, but that's really what it is.  Having people like you pop in here to support us means a ton.  It lends so much more creedence to our fight to save Thane to have players who have either only recently romanced him, or not romanced him at all, come in here to support the option for a cure.  Not to mention to improve the treatment for the romance as a whole.

This is exactly the type of post that BW needs to see.

And, I do like Kaidan, also.  I'm on one playthrough in ME2 where I'm trying to stay faithful to him, but it's tough.  His romance is a bit dry compared to Thane's and he's such a boy scout in a way.  I was thinking it might motivate me to play ME3 again, but so far, no luck there.

The thing is I actually really like Kaidan too, but I was left feeling so hurt and betrayed by BWs treatment of Thane, and by extension Thane's fans that I can't stomach playing the game at all, I don't have any desire to even try and appreciate any good parts as the bad was just so so bad.

God I think my parents are finally going to drive me homocidal.
I don't know how many of you remember the restaurant incident last year where my parents and my sister split up and both went off the deep end in their own ways (Bro-in-law had breakdown, parents disowned sister, both sides accusing the other of nutty crap).

So we finally ended up selling the place this past month for ~$15k. My sister sent me an email saying how she'd spent $25k on the restaurant, and that she still owes $8 k on the credit card that she used for them, and that she's having trouble feeding her kids, and that she really needs the $8k before the interest rate goes up on that credit card.

I told her that I'd get the money to her as soon as I've settled accounts.

She goes on a rant about the whole thing, taking up like 15 emails. And it ends with my saying.....I'll get her the money as soon as I've settled accounts...

Then my parents call today. First because even though I'd explained to them THREE TIMES how the sale is going to work, and how long they'll be expected to continue to work and train the new owners, they only heard what they wanted to hear, which was that they'd be gone at the end of the month.
So half an hour of explaining to them another THREE TIMES and them only hearing "We have to work our butts off until the end of AUGUST?!??!?!??!??!??!?!" I finally get it through their heads that they're working full time till the end of July, then part time through August and they're gone 1st of September.

THEN they call me (I'm STILL AT WORK) about the money that they'll get from the sale. So I tell them, since my sister still needs a bit more to pay off the CC, and she's having other $ troubles, I'm giving her $8, them $5, and I'm keeping $2k to pay off the rest of the bills.

Then they completely freak out, they're both talking two miles a minute, and they just won't listen to a word I say. I'm standing outside my workplace, yelling into my phone to try and get them to STFU and all they want to yell about is how my sister is lying and my bro in law is trying to scam them and that they deserve all the money.

Something to keep in mind: I've spent probably $4-6k of my own money on this thing.

And the HR guy at work tells me some board members are coming up so could I please go yell somewhere else....

So I go outside the building and I just scream at them for like, 10 minutes, that basically, I spent 2k right out of the gate for them to get this thing transferred, that I haven't asked for back, and another 2-4k over the course of the last year for bills that I didn't want to bother them with and would they just STFU And eat the fact that they won't be getting as much money as they want, and grow up and deal with it.

Seriously considering homicide right now.
