I ought to be writing now, as well, but with 42C of heat atm, inspiration is flowing away, melted into a nice little puddle!

Ok FYI this is how the questions went. There were people who had question that were asking about the lying and why the ending was so lazy.
However there were EA/BW (or maybe CC guys) who CHECKED the questions beforehand to make sure it wasn't going to cause anything uncomfortable. They would never allow questions like the one's you guys want answered, it just isn't going to happen because they know we are in the right and they would have to admit it.
Yeah, it's ****ty but that's the way the world works.
Yep. Some of my co-workers were there too and they said the same thing. Basically that it was all a smokescreen.
I wasn't expecting anything too incendiary, to be honest. But I WAS hoping they'd be able to talk with a little more candor than what we've had.

You have got to be kidding me. I can see how he might have meant that as a joke, but in my opinion it was in pretty poor taste. I don't really even know what else to say to that.

It would be a nightmare to try and fix this mess. There's a lot more that went horribly horribly wrong in ME3 than what went right in it and the fanbase is all up in arms with this mess and Bioware seems set on ignoring it. It would take forever to actually fix anything, and be a huge nightmare to actually pull off, but its much more productive than ignoring the warning lights.
And this, is what I was getting at last night, but I was tired -and frankly, depressed for personal reasons- and was not feeling overly eloquent. Even if they were inclined to fix the many things that went wrong, or were overlooked, it would require an almost wholesale 'redo' of ME3. Something almost on, or above, the level of KotOR 2's restoration mod. Granted, Bioware would have money and professionals and all, where I think a lot of the mod team was volunteers and people who did modding more as a hobby than a profession, but still. A huge undertaking.
And my take on the 'artistic integrity' argument is this: You can have your integrity if you like, but when you're an artist, or group of artists, producing something for sale and consumption, there are prices that often come with 'integrity'. One of them being, if you miss the mark so badly, and in so many areas as this, and refuse to realize you just might have become a bit too enamoured with your 'vision', you just might find yourself going from successful artist(s) to starving artist(s). Video games involve advertisement and moreover a trilogy by function of its very nature sets its own expectations and standards, where the long-term fan judges by how things were done in the previous installations. And while I'll be the first to say, 'Yes, it's their IP, and in the strictest sense it's theirs to do what they will with it.', there's also the point of several interviews done around the game went gold, that if they are not untruths, are at least very, very distorted views of reality. I don't read game interviews to have to play Vergere-like mindgames with the interviewee. To not have forseen backlash over such issues as the massive imbalance against FemShep romance options, the treatment of Jacob, Thane, and the fact that the endings are indeed A, B, C... well, that's just shortsighted. Consumers of a product have a right to voice their displeasure, whether it's art or a box of Pop Tarts. The fact that so many are upset at once, in various quarters, just means something went badly awry.
If you're an artist just doing things for your own enjoymennt and have fans by circumstance and not necessarily by design for mass-consumption, you can afford to be a bit more particular and eccentric in regards to what prior fans enjoyed, and current directions you may want to go.
Or maybe I'm just being a snob who doesn't know jack about art. I wouldn't, I guess; all I do is write. Sometimes original, sometimes fanfiction. But that's still how it seems to me.
The real shame of all of this is that the BW guys that do talk to us now have not seemed the same as they were back on the old forums, in the KotOR/NWN days. They seem much less approachable now, and more prone to (hurtful) snark, sarcasm, or being outright belittling to the fans. That may be partially our own doing, or just the wear and tear of many years of always someone being upset. But that was usually just a singular group of people, and not en masse like this. At least, not until DA2. It's been all downhill from there.
--- What follows is a related Off Topic aside: I read a day or two ago that more class stories for TOR weren't coming until roughly a year from now. A year. TOR has nothing that sets it apart from other MMOs other than the class arcs. Sorry, but that's how it is. 'World' arcs are the same as 'zone' arcs, and to a degree even FF11 had those. Rift does. TERA does. If memory serves, Aion did. I could go on. GW2 probably will, and I know for a fact is now encroaching on their 'personal story' territory. And yet every update is just more raids, more flashpoints. I know it's a whole separate team, but they're making the same shortsighted mistakes. Ignoring what brought people to the game. Meanwhile they've bled subs, are squishing the umpteen servers down to 12 per region, and continue to put off the story updates, which is about all anyone plays a Bioware game for.

They are down longer than is necessary for weekly maintenance. Even if it isn't patch day. If it is, it's ridiculous. Rift manages to do even patch days in about 2 hours most days, often less. And GW2 is actually going on about background updates where it just says "Okay patch now. You can log out and get it if you like." Which is something Rift also did. I saw it in the week or so after launch a few times.
But I'm more worried about the stories, and the subs bleeding because they're again missing the point of the complaints, just like here. Different teams, same song. TOR is only amusing for the stories. Everything else is just like every other MMO ever. Maybe if it had TERA's combat combined with the stories I could make do for another year, but it doesn't. I haven't even been playing, actually. Keeping my sub active just... because, I suppose, but all of my LotRO buddies who we had a guild with have quit. Every last one, and there were about twenty.
But for my part, I've been playing D3 and XIV. TERA I quit because of the abysmal community.

Then - with my human expert - I joined a game (gold) with another drell in it - and wow, this drell was an awesome fighter (must have been Thane in his best days^^)! He nearly did the game alone since most of the other ones, including my human expert, were knocked off faster than lightspeed.
If anyone ever tells me that a drell in MP is not good enough for a gold match I will necksnap him or her in the same moment these words are passing his/her lips!

Maybe you had some skills or equipment they believe are insufficient to win? I've read some topics on multiplayer forum were people were arguing whether drell are awesome or or not. I believe most people can't use drell properly and therefore they think they are too weak. Anyway, it's their loss.
