Also....if I could be provided with specific scenes/scenarios I'd be glad to record them.  I tend to play AS Thane rather than WITH Thane (teehee) so Id on't have a whole lot with my Shep+Thane.

I'm really getting tired of people saying to Thanemancers: "You knew he was dying. Why romance him?"

Okay. Why romance anyone in the game? Everyone (except plot armored Liara) had chance to die if you don't play the game right, so why must those who romanced him be punished?

And in the same view, why is Thane unavaoiable? BroShep LI can be prevented by the player, but femShep? Nah.

Also, what of those who romanced Jacob? Can they honest say they knew what they were getting into by romancing him? That they would get cheated on/baby mama issues? There was no evidence that Jacob would do that, despite some people trying to say it was a fling. Again, why is femShep's LI reduced to a fling?

TLDR There was no evidence in ME2 that Thane or Jacob would have been treated this way. None. All the fans wanted was their LI to be treated fairly, and that didn't happen. If you didn't romance the blueberry , you were doing it wrong. Anyone who romance team Dextro or the VS got lucky.

^sigh* You guys are the only one that keep me lurking around these forums. This why I hope BW says one way or another what they'll do with Thane, so I can stop wasting my time hoping he gets improvements for you guys.

you're so right, dine thanks for your effort...it's like femshep isn't important...because most fem shep are male gamers, playing her for having an affair with liara...yeah...shojo ai for the win...NOT!
i think there should not be a right choice of a li. everyone likes another kind of character, everyone wants other attributes of a boyfriend. so there is no right choice. love isn't asking for a right choice...love is a feeling, not a decision. i cannot decide to fall in love in someone, that doesn't work and for my femshep thane was the best fitting man.
for other femsheps i played he was not, there it was garrus or even kaidan...it depends on the character...so why should thane mancer be punished to choose thane? to be honest, i think we should berewarded to look over his disease and to love him anyway...that's my opinion...
i hate this argument so much...he was never ever destinied to die...there where hints and with right choices and some more dialogue options it could have been possible.
there should have been an option....the doctor offered one first. left up corner of dilogue weel is normally a new option or was it just me who earned this feeling of how the wheel works over the first 2 games???

we could also bring tali as a point..why did you romance tali, when you did not know if she survives the s** with you, because she's turning her suit off? she could die anyway...but no, wait, she's male shep li. that would never be possible. paragon male shep can do it all and paragon fem shep is just sh*** she could do nothing to let her li's stay if they're in conflict

And like RShara said, the argument could be turned around; Why would Liara for instance, fall for Shepard?
She knows she will outlive him/her by centuries and yet, that doesn't stop her.

Nor does Tali's immune system stop her from falling for Shepard either, despite the severe risks present.

Also the whole "it would be cheap to cure him" argument reeks of prejudice imo.
How would one know that?

Especially since *gasp* that story has not been told yet. It's like saying "Ew yuck, pineapples taste like sewer despite the fact that I haven't eaten pineapple".

And many seem to have this "Disney-image" when it comes to survival, which for the record, sure isn't that simple at all in RL, and given the nature of the previous writing in ME, it sure tried and for most of the part, succeeded in telling stories with a balanced dose of both fun/serious.

With that said, an inspirational "survival" story will almost always triumph a story of "le tragic death" imo.
And it is specifically such a tale I can with confidence say I'll attempt to tell with a headcanoned fanfic that I'll hopefully begin writing soonish.

(On that note, does anyone feel like being a "guinea-pig" for testing my plot and concepts? If there are any volunteers just PM! )

Or that you could have an allergic reaction by "ingesting" Garrus.

What they should have done with Thane/Jacob was to do the Jack treatment. It would have been sucky, but at least it could have been built upon in future DLC. Instead, we get character assignation with Jacob and unavoidable death with Thane.

And people need to stop focusing on Thane's death. It isn't Thane's death that's the problem, it's that they forgot he was an LI, stripped away what progressed in ME2, and had him die in a meaningless fight against a wannabe ninja. And that he dies so early in the game.

If they had Thane survive through the coup attempt and them maybe have him die at the end of the game, I'm sure Thane fans would have been okay with it. At the very least the could have given his romancers the Paramour achievement.

Hmm I guess I could finish the "Word poetry" idea that was presented in the #SaveThane Group and make some artwork to go along with it. Question is what should be done with that once it's finished...

I've also had an idea for a bigger project, possibly involving all LI's, but I've yet to figure out the "practical" side of things... :/

And also, I've signed up to help assembling the Samara fanbook, although work has yet to begin on that one...

But...I've got 3 artwork pieces to finish up first though...

What about handwriting it out? In a little book, maybe with some doodles? So could be like Shepard is passing time and thinking of Thane? Take a lot more time I guess, so maybe not a good idea...

And hmm... it seems the WiiU version is getting a "Genesis" comic for bot ME1 and ME2...

Well I suppose that means WiiU players will at least know the squad from ME2...chances are though that the descrptions of squadmates will be...inadequate...(Like it was in ME1 Genesis comic) :/
