So here are the details. This is a new rig, but it came with a sub-par video card (go figure since it was DESIGNED and sold as a gaming PC.....hubby did his best (*pat's husband on head reminiscent of Benny Hill*).

Specs:
AMD FX-Series/Processor speed: 3.6Ghz
8GB DDR3 SDRAM
Hard drive 1Tb
case is large gaming size with enough room for another fan, but cooling hasn't been a factor; size, placement and decent fan seem to be keeping it cool.

The current card works, but is as stated, sub-par. AMD HD 6450 1gb memory
I looked at reviews when I saw that it had no HDMI hookup (I have a new 1080p 27 inch monitor). I also had to scale everything back to play DA2 (works perfectly with DAO). The reviews were....ummm....less than kind. This card was never really meant for gaming (but they put it in a gaming pc...meh). So I am looking to spend somewhere between $200 and $275 for a card. And yes; I have been looking at the ATI cards, for the very reasons you stated.

I have an NVidia Geforce GTX 570 and it runs everything great. Stay away from ATI, their driver support is horrible

I was in love with my GTX 460 SE, which is under warranty and being fixed (I hope) in the mean time, I have a Sapphire HD6790 1g card. It's...okay. I miss my 460 though. it's funny. I can't run any AA (really anything) while playing Skyrim but I could with my other card. Don't get me wrong, it's a good enough card, but I think the other just had that extra pit of push.

I think they are. It's clear they have nothing better to do.
These are people who don't care about Thane or his character. The don't know one thing about him. They act like they do becasue they saw it on youtube, but most of the time they get all the information wrong.

That card is hard to come and it's surprising. Usually people have old cards anyways. I'm wondering if it was a limited addition or something. I read something like that anyways...

I like how they said his death fit the story, Mass Effect was built around Players choice and those having an affect, Thane's in ME3 doesn't not both fit the story or Player's choices because everyone else in the game can both live or die expect Legion

It is sad. I don't think I was bashing Liara at all in that thread, unless having an opinion is suddenly bashing. Some of us were discussing her stalking our Sheps. I don't think we used those words, I could be wrong. LOL

But I didn't even bring up Thane until somebody compared his content to Liara's. I certainly didn't go out of my way to bring Thane into it.

Btw, did they fix the ending where she cannot die, even if hit with the beam? I distinctly remember her getting hit and still getting off the Normandy. That was on youtube though.

I don't think you said anything bad about Liara did either.

I still can not figure out why they care so much.They act as if the world is going to come to an end if Bioware decides to save Thane. They say it's never going to happen. If that's true then why do they feel this need to come into our threads and say the silliest things that make no real sense. If that's true then they shouldn't care. If that's true then they shouldn't feel so threatened.

I read somewhere that saving Thane would bring about a huge lizard apocalypse and we'd all be flicked to death.

So, yes they have rights to be concerned as it will bring about the end of the world.

And of course, my posts are as ridiculous as some of their justifications as to why choices should not be allowed in a game that prided itself on player choice.
