He clearly has nothing better to do with his time.

Granted, I have already came to that conclustion. He probably still lives in his Mommy's basement.

However, if others want him to go away...  I'll stop bickering with him.

I'm pretty sure he still lives with mommy, but I will also try to ignore him.

I wish I could still live with my Mommy. Hang out in her basement, have her pay all my bills while I convince a shrink that I am internet addicted so I can get a monthly government check. You know, live out the American dream. This way I can spend my days daydreaming about video game lizards and vampires (but not the sparkly ones).

At least I am honest...well, maybe not. Except the lizards and vampires, I was serious about that part.

I prefer the bad vampires, what Myth mentioned works. I'm not all for the "good" vamps, so to speak. Unless they are sarcastic and funny, then I'll pay attention. My oldest daughter loves them too, just that she likes the sparkly ones and that other one...Angel. Oh lord, Angel is a tool. But I try to behave as I don't want to see my daughter upset so I refrain from the bashing. But her room..... it burns. Edward and Angel. I had a Spike one once but I replaced it with Thane.

That was a good decision. Thane is better than Spike. Even Spike was a bit of a dick, and not in a good way. Then he fell in love and became a tool himself. Imo, anyway. Angel... yeah, I liked him... when I was a kid. Now... nope, can't stand him. Such a tool!

Conner having sex with Cordelia completely killed my interest in the Angel series. Talk about bad writing murdering a story!

The OP finally add Thane to the list.
I can't believe some of those people actual think that was a good death.

I agree! To me the only parts that got a whole lot of attention is the part where shepard cures the Genophage and Rannoch everthing else is just laziness!

Power ranger space ninja? lol

Yeah Thane could've killed Kai lame with his bare hands...but noooo they wanted all that silly drama, didn't even give us an option to save him and didn't give us any good moments with him it's all depressing! :(

In the past I would have said, "no, Thane's death was not good" but now I just want to say, "what death is really good?" No matter the how, why, where, when, or who...there is no such thing as a good death. My cousin Jimmy Jr. committed suicide while I was on vacation by jumping off the Ausable Chasm bridge and a couple of days ago a school friend shot himself during a police stand off. Neither of those deaths were good. Granted both Jimmy and Tom wanted to die but it didn't make it good.

Regardless of whether Thane had a death wish or not, I really wish people would stop saying, "Thane's death was good." It wasn't. He got stabbed, bled out before getting help, went through surgery to repair the damage, had trouble breathing before he actually died. Just what part of that scenario was good? Because that is the way he went out. I don't know what is crueler, just leaving him there to bleed to death or repairing the damage so he could gasp for air for moments/hours before actually dying.

As for the Angel, Connor/Cordelia thing above, I was fine with that...it was the turning Spike into a sniveling, Angel clone, dolt that did me in. I liked him better when he was a dick, at least he was entertaining. I knew it was all over for my bad boy vamp when they started having him parade around with Buffybot....although the straddling scene in the graveyard and Zander's face will be one of my favorite moments ever.

Didn't realize my thread was linked here until someone told me. In any case, I'm not denying that Thane's death was due to very stupid reasons. However, my point in that thread is that there are squadmates whose deaths had extremely bad sendoffs, more so than Thane. I mean, some didn't even get cutscenes for their death sendoffs. You can't deny that Thane's death wasn't as bad as Morinth's, Jack's, or EDI's (in Destroy). I thought it was worse to be demoted to generic enemy NPC's for the first two, or getting killed off-screen by friendly fire for the last.

I get where you are coming from, although I personally think Thane's death contains one helluva heavy dose of stoopid plot contriveance. Even moreso if one ignores talking to Thane and he just dies off-screen after the coup, and the only way to tell that he died off-screen is by looking at the memorial wall. :/

But the examples you gave sure has high-levels of stupid for sure, I'll agree.

Getting killed off screen without even an email is pretty bad.

Thane's death was better than Morinth's yeah. Maybe EDI's....BW has said some things that seem to hint EDI is not dead, and some people have had her walk out of the Normandy on Destroy, iirc. But you can choose to save Jack, which you can't do for Thane.

The prayer was great for friendShep, but it's just insult on injury to not have anything different(barely) for a romancedShep.

And don't get me started on the endings and randomly needing to destroy all synthetics anyway.

I don't think anyone is denying that those are bad senoffs for those characters. We just felt Thane's name should be added because his death scene was not heroic death that some on that thread seem to think.

Also if you don't talk to Thane he just dies off screen. You don't get a scene or anything. His name just appears on the wall and that's it.

And also, if you don't import a save, he's one of those characters that don't even import. He's dead. Never existed for new players.

Also, a new player is never introduced to ANY Drell. The only Drell some of those people will ever know (sort of...) is in MP; assuming they play it. Thane got to be a poster child for ME2, and was demoted to....."Tink Krios" in MP?!?! (or cameo in me3 with forced death and a negated LI status, if you import with an alive Thane from ME2)........hurrah........... :P

@Caston - as @mnomaha pointed out...you'll do just fine here with "American Pie" references...<wicked/smirk> :D

Ah, Caston, a man/woman? after our own hearts. The chocolate <ridges> are on the table behind me. So far, we've gotten to 2000 licks to get to the centre.;)

I'm.... not commenting on the rest. I am just tired today. I'll be back at it tomorrow.

Omg I seriously could have gutted Joss Whedon like a fish for doing that.   I found the direction he took Angel in over it's final 2 seasons beyond frustrating.  I like Gina Torres, but the whole Jasmine thing just freaked me the hell out.  And poor Charisma Carpenter...taken from Angel right as they were about to get together.  Seemed like a ****** thing for Whedon to do.

But, David Boreanz and James Marsters are both hot as hell.

Not as hot as Thane, of course.

To get back on topic....ahem.
