Thanks for responses! :)

@coldwetn0se I've read your idea and I think it's good and doesn't need as much resources as the one I presented ( I've become greedy recently seeing some LI content from EC and a leaked dialogue from Leviathan). It would be good to have at least some kind of messages later in the game from our LI's from ME2 if they can't join our squad.

Lovely!

Edit: I was looking for Thane pic for the top of the page but instead found this:

Let it be my comment about replaying ME3 (I 've managed to complete it 3 times, though my canon Shep is waiting between Mars and Palaven)

That's great, made me laugh (thanx for posting!).

Some time ago I wrote a scene with Shep having hallucionations while in bed with Thane - in my version she was wondering why she invited Mordin in her bed instead of Thane:whistle: - but since the private time with Mordin was spectacular she did not bother (:o) but asked for more :P.

Well, if Turians think they are flexible, Salarians might add a new dimension to the terms of flexibility (but still their abilities are nothing compared to a Drell, of course ;) B).)

I still miss Thane. After all these months. I haven't replayed ME3 because of that. I doubt I ever will. And all my Drells in multiplayer are named Thane - just variations on the spelling. Damn you Bioware! I will reiterate again - he did not go out "like a boss". It was just lame and pathetic.

Oh yeah - morning all!

I'm with you Cosmo, I still miss Thane and it hurts to think about my experience with ME3. I doubt I'll even buy the new Leviathon DLC just because I cannot stomach going back to my SP game. It's just...too lacking of everything I loved about Mass Effect in general.

You know a game is lacking for you, when you don't even download the free stuff, and can't bear to play what you already paid for. :P

I don't necessarily believe that they will do anything to appease many of the RPer's, nor do I see much added content via DLC for the ME2 ex-squaddies and especially the LI's. But, I admit, I keep hoping (with a side of caution).

I completed the game. Kaidan hijacked my Garrus romance. It's a good romance, but nothing and I do mean NOTHING tops the date with Garrus. That was well thought out, well written and perfectly executed. Why the hell was that writer not doing Thane?

And if my fever is only 101.5 f, why am I shivering so bad?

THIS so much. The Garrus date made my heart melt , in fact all of garrus's romance lines were written well. I believe it was John Dombrow  who wrote him in ME3 . Fun fact he was also the guy who wrote the genophage arc ,Javik and wrex's lines. Yup I'm thinking the same thing, why didn't THIS guy handle the ending and the ME2 characters. He clearly does his homework when he writes for a new character and he pays attention to detail (tuchunka choices) and yeah he actually seems to CARE.

Speaking of the date , what would Thane have planned for shepard if he did get the treatment and was given an option to be saved?

I picture a quiet but romantic date, he'd be the sort to have a candlelight dinner set up somewhere maybe by the lake on the citadel Posted Image

@Hyrule_Gal

I think dinner would be the kind of date he'd arrange, I don't think it would be too flash, probably quite understated but romantic all the same.

...yeah I miss Thane, but mostly I miss Mass Effect, the games are still there, but I can't enjoy them anymore... I'm also being forced to not buy BW games full price (PC) or new (360)... I just can't bring myself to support the company any more.  That is, unless they demonstrate some genuine good will toward the fans they left out in the cold by addressing their very valid complaints.  It still makes me sad.

Yes my hope is almost entirely gone.  I just don't see them bothering with more romance stuff - ME2 or ME3 related.  It's too bad really.  And why do I want more info on the Reapers?  Didn't we already get the answers in ME2?

@annie - I miss the excitement of playing ME as well. I still go back to ME and ME2, but not like I used to. And since getting my new PC (yay! finally got new video card working...hot tea and ginger ale for Shell....you rock, lady!), I have been playing a ton of DA (mods, mods, everywhere mods!).

@Cosmo - yup...hope wearing thin. Good on you for finding new distractions (witcher, skyrim). Still; I cling a bit (maybe it is out of habit now...HA!) to what COULD be. *sigh*

@mnomaha - hugs, drells, ridges, bulges, zippers......feel better, pet!

When I met Thane while playing with my other Shepard today, I chose to ignore the "Let's have some privacy" option. Unsurprisingly, the conversation played out much better as a result. (I did take the Paragon interrupt, though.)

I'm also experiencing drama with Kaidan, but that was fully expected. I actually like it as it gives the romance a sense of uneasiness and conflict, rather than the vanilla version where everything is smooth and perfect. Kaidan's reaction is also mature and well-balanced, which I appreciate.

In the conversation with Kaidan I miss the option to tell him that Shep did not cheat on him because after her dead and especially after the scene on Horizon there hasn't been a relationsship between him and her anymore and she felt free for a new love. I do not like my Shep apologizing for the Thane romance. She is a strong woman. She never would apologize for falling in love with another guy when the old relationship is over. She doesn't regret anything what happened in ME 2 and she would stay with Thane for the rest of the game and the rest of her live if the devs gave her a chance to do so. She never would return to Kaidan if Thane could survive.

I don't know why we couldn't have had this date with Thane. He was right there on the citadel doing nothing thanks to the way he was written in ME3.

I agee with what you said. It just makes me sad when I think about how much I loved ME1 and 2 and what a huge dissappointment ME3 was for me.

The guy who wrote Thane didn't know squat about him (probably doesn't know how to flatter a girl either)!

All we get is them making out in public and shepard making moaning noises!.....lol...how pathetic!

I just can't bring myself to play ME anymore. I wanted to finish ME3 . The free EC was a nice gesture, and I'm ocd about completing stuff. But I just can't. Can't even play ME1 and ME2 anymore.

I have no hope left but at least I can annoy Bioware. Revenge for them killing Thane.

Really having fun with Dragon Age though. I hope David Gaider and his team are not idiots like the ME3 team

Don't get me wrong - I like Kaidan and my Sheps do like him, too, but after meeting Thane he is only second best () - and in ME 3 my Sheps go back to him just to get the romance scene (without a chance to get a nice romance scene for all my efforts I wouldn't have any motivation to continue the game after Thane's death) - my Sheps feel so lonley after losing Thane, they simply need a shoulder to cry on - well, and it has to be a male shoulder. So Kaidan is the only choice they have (thanks to the storywriters for this overwhelming amount of choices :pinched:).

I always rescue Kaidan on Virmire, even my MaleShep do it 'cause me and all my Sheps can't stand Ashley.

I'm a huge Kaidan fan but I couldn't and wouldn't go back to Kaidan after Thane for my ThaneShepard. I would stay forever alone. But of course, my ThaneShepard is still sitting on Thane's lap in the captains cabin in ME2. No way am I letting her leave his lap and go into ME3.

Oh and I put the lil cute Tiny Thane in my sig. I hope no one minds. Thanks Roxy for sharing them, they are so cute!

I have the exact same problem. I can't finish ME3 and when I tried to play either ME1 or ME2... I found it pointless to even play these two games.

If it was BioWare's goal to kill all desire, then they did a very good job in my book. .__.

Then there is this new DLC coming out.. and guess who isn't buying it? Yup, it's me. I don't see why I would buy a DLC if my heart isn't in this game anymore.

@Roxy -- :)

@Ren -- I'm just now trying DAO.  So far I'm not crazy about the combat mechanic, and all the dialgoue without showing my character actually speaking is throwing me off.

It's like Skyrim...just not nearly as good.

And, why are my only het romance choices an elf that I  don't find particularily attractive, and a knight-type guy who seems like too much of a "nice boy"?

Morrigan is a bit more my type, and it really seems like she would swing both ways.

Bah.

I  would pay money to someone that could replace the meshes of any of these characters with Thane's.

Ah, how I  wish ME were moddable like TES.   Sighhhhhh.

I was undecided on DAO on my first PT but was totally hooked by the second.  Obviously everyone likes different characters, I'm with re: Alistair but Zevran is a character I absolutely LOVE... (every bit as much as Thane).  In general the character development is outstanding, gaining approval really opens the characters up and the banter is excellent (especially if playing on PC with mods to fix bugged dialogue that's missing in shipped game).

I guess the combat takes a bit of getting used to but I enjoyed it after a while and have replayed DAO many many times :)
