well actually i have no full report for ya, i just  want to write one in german for the snn that will be a few pages long and eat some time. so i'm gonna be away for some time :)

thanks for all of your kind words =] especially just because i haven't reached anything. just try to make him notice about the problem.

so i just tell you some things...i did not get to know something very new. a lot have been rumour before and something concrete wasn't mentioned anyway. not that i expected it  :D

chris said that the reason why he forgot me, was a meeting. he messed with the time shedule and so he gave me a termin that wasn't avaiable...and that although i wrote the termin 3 times to him to make sure, that this one is alright.
well anyway, he left the meeting to catch me up and i never heard him apalogizing so often as he did to me and i don't think that he was playing.it didn't sound like it...or chris is a great actor xD

so he took me to the sun terasse of the ea community lounge. i was so glad that i weared my hat. if the sun is shining too much on my head i get headache. very bad headache...

first of all i gave him 3 cakes from german community, called something like "tree cake"
it something like this
http://upload.wikime...-Baumkuchen.jpg

afterwards i gave him the cupcakes and he laughes. he recognized them immediatly and said: "well i guess tully will have his fun with it" and chris also recognized the small thane when i head over the photo album and plush thane. he watched the album and scream out: oooh! it's the journey thane.
i told him, that it's just a smaller version and that the big thane is still travelling.

afterwards we started the interview. i asked him about dragon age, mass effect (3 in it's special of course) and about frenchaise/bsn itself. i gathered some news which i wanted to share:

first of all there a gonna be more patches and dlc for me3. both for multi and single player. nothing very suprising right? but i told him that we were glad that there are more patches, because i, e.g., could never do the samara mission and so on...
also he told me that it's unlikely to see talis face in game (i asked it because most snn readers are talimancer) but as i wrote yesterday more LI content like in SB is very likely.
also the book deception is decided to be rewritten. a special date hasn't been set up yet, but it will be.
to further dlc he said his favourite sentence of yesterday "everything is possible" which actually means, that they always orientate on what fans wants and that it may influence further dlc.
also nothing new, but a bit spark of hope.
afterwards i used the chance to ask him why we don't get any further romance content for thane and explained him the problematic of jacob/thane and also said again that thanes death itself isnt the problem, although a cure would be nice, but the way how his death and character had been treaten had been the problem.
well he really listened carefully but did not want to make any precise answer, but that wasn't suprising, i just wanted to use the chance to explain him the situation and for what we're fighting.
also the OST for the DLC is likely to be avaiable, because it got such a good resonance

he also confirmed, that the dragon age team is working on the "next project" (he wasn't allowed to say any more, the lead producer said: just next project) but well i guess we all may know what that means. the team is working very hard and to have more time to make this next project possible, the team decided to leave out the other planned dlc for da2...and may put it in in the next game...let's see.

also it is in progess called "the social network 2.0" which means that the progammers are collecting ideas to improve the bsn^^ they are thinking about connecting it with twitter, offering chat funktion, better formating tools etc^^ they want to make a significant change of the bsn^^

so that's all. i also have infos about why they changed the darkspawn look in da2, about auto dialogue (i'm not totally convniced of this argumentation ), the body at the end of detroy ending, so if you're interessted i can try to explain it as well, but well, that's all of it first of all^^

have a wonderfull day :wizard:

[edit] many spelling mistakes, sorry guys >.<

If they are improving BSN, will there be a way for me to get my original account to be able to post on the ME3 boards? It is a pain in the ass not being able to change the OP... And not having any friends xD

Chris sounds like a pretty cool guy. Thanks for asking him these things. But of course it is understandable that he can't say much about Thane.

Tasha! Hi! Long time no see (here). What's up? Steam down? ;)

Chris comes across to me on twitter as an **** a lot of the time, therefore until I meet him in person an **** he will remain. However I am very glad your meeting went well Moira. And I'm very glad he was nice to you. Since I have that impression of him I was a little worried that you were going to get screwed over in regards to the meeting, so I'm glad it went well.

I didn't expect any Thane specific news, though it is understandable that he can't reveal future DLC plans but a definite yes/no would be good, but I am really happy about the reception. I hope he posts more photos. Tully looked really happy about the cupcakes (I want some, beanie, please). Oh, and that joke too, Moira. That was gold!

But yeah, I'm not a fan of Chris. I don't like him, haven't since THAT tweet.

To be fair though I'm probably a real b!tch on twitter, too. :S

When I think that we now have no options, I am remember of Joseph Brodsky's poem "Procession" (1962). I could not find the translation this into English. I tried to translate this small fragment, simply convey the meaning.

My God, beloved, outlived(?),
Destroy want - destroy,
Raise my hand to protect,
If you can not spare me.

P.S. I still hold hope.

well he's really a professional person and sure it was also because that he forgot me and don't want a mad snn reporter to go home, so yeah, sure, but i also guess that his attitude is really meant as a joke, that was my impression from yesterday, but he undermind the way how it come along over the internet. he has in natural a very "deep sarcasm" which is hard to understand without his voice. we were joking around yesterday  and i was never feeled screwed over or something. and he really knows how to push away my anger...
i was really really angry before he arrived...better said i was pissed of and nearly to leave and to write a flaming insulting report on snn...well i guess you all understand...but when he came it disappeared really fast because he really listened, try to answer how far it is possible for him and it became a very lively discussion.
(i notices some of the views from other ea workersxD it was like "what the hell are they talking about?", because we really got detailed)
and also his tweets yesterday at me were very kind and very obling, really i was so suprised in a good way  chris, respect you're really professional o.O i sometimes really have to remind myself that it was an interview, not a discussion with a friend or something...but well this atmosphere easen the situation and i wasn't nervouse anymore, although i lost the words sometimes or lost the plot (do you call it like this?)

i will remain carefull with chris and i think it is good, but the best way is to catch him with humour like i did with my little "hopefully you're wife don't mind" joke i did, while he was taking the picutre (sooo emberessing....my cellphone battery was down from the tweets so that chris had to take it >.<)

I honestly have no idea who she is. This is an old picture I found deep in my backup files, and no real information is given with it.

That said, I presume she is Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica; 24 Season 8).

Angry...depressing...it feels like that sometimes here...but hey I blame that on Bioware...we expected something good between Shep and Thane, not sad and depressing!
We were given false hope....and no option to save our Drell...so yeah I don't blame this thread for being angry and depressing, especially when some people want to tell us to STFU and deal with what we got...they would be upset and be doing the same thing if their LI got treated the way Thane did! So no we are not going to STFU and we are not going to deal with what we got! We are fighting a good fight and let's keep doing so!Posted Image

But I do see positve here once in awhile like.... humor! Posted Image

As much as we don't get on with other fan groups?*snark* Don't worry JECW ,haters gonna hate and from what I've seen around here none of us hate on other fan groups or take the p*** out of them. Sure we can get angry and sad sometimes but  it's always about Thane's treatment as a character. What did garrus say? "kick up enough fuss and eventually someone will come over to see what the fuss is about" Well you need to kick up enough fuss or else nothing will happen. EC is a good example of that.

And to prove how we can have a laugh on this thread I shall post this amusing gif!

@ Roxy and Hyrule Gal

I agree with both of you and that's how I feel. Sure we can get angry. Who wouldn't after what happened to Thane. Maybe sometimes it can get a little depressing, but it doesn't last long. None of us are emo. I don't know where that came from.

I only asked because these were things that were said about us. We have never once attacked any group or any character so I don't get why someone would say that about us. Especially when they have never once come in here and spoken to us.

I guess that's my rant for this evening.

Hyrule Gal that Dance Crazy Thane always makes me laugh.

I'll try to tread lightly here, but you romanced someone who is terimally ill, and you know this from the moment you meet him. Why are you angry and surprised that they planned a death for him?

There you are! Welcome back, Ava! (Or maybe I'm the one who has been hiding under a rock...)

Yes, in fact, I do feel as much. Then again, it has been this way pretty much since the game's release. To be quite honest, I don't blame us. There's really nothing to talk about anymore; it's either dwelling on the past or discussing what never was. This does have a tendency to get depressing and more, unfortunately.

Yes this place can get like that and it is sad. I just thought it was a bit unfair that we were being called this by another group. I still think we are a friendly group of people, and very welcoming to anyone who wants to come in here and talk.

There are pages and pages of our reasons in this thread. For one thing, Bioware posted a Cure Thane campaign on their ME2 Facebook page (before it was recently deleted) last year. Fans even sent Bioware a banner that was made for this promotion.

There are several hints at a cure- one is even mentioned in the hospital over the intercom or whatever at the beginning of the 3rd game. Something about advances in tissue transplants for drell I think (could be wrong).

If you romanced Thane in ME2, he expresses that he is no longer content to die at the end of the game and then his attitude is completely different in ME3. Shepard's attitude is also completely different toward him.

@Hyrule_Gal That made me lol so hard!

Edit: Sorry if anything I posted doesn't make sense or sounds weird. A little tipsy lol.

That explains things a little more. I never really understood why people were so upset at a death of someone that is...terminally ill. I didn't know there was a cure being bandied about pre-ME3. I thought it was something people were pulling out of their asses.

Of course, I have to admit, I'm not the most educated on where the Thanemancers are coming from. I don't play as FemShep and, in turn, I don't romance Thane.

1st off we know he had an illness but that is not the main reason why we picked him there is more to him than that! secondly they hinted in LoTSB that he was good for a transplant and they started a cure Thane campaign so Bioware gave us hope that he would live..and then they killed him off like he meant nothing in ME 3 no option to save him no option for him to get a cure not even a "I'm sorry shepard for your loss" after he died.... nothing, all we got is  a Thane that we hardly recongnised from ME 2 ...He said in ME 2 at the end that he didn't want to die because he had something to live for again (Shepard and his son)!

We have the right to be angry...especailly with people who don't want to see or undrstand from our side! I'm sure if their LI got treated the same way they would be upset too!

It isn't just his death. It's the way he was treated too. I think most of us could have excepted his death had he been treated better in the game.
There is the fact that not one person remembers him. Not even Shepard. We get very little time with him before he dies. A lot of us didn't really care for Shepards reaction during Thanes death and she can't tell him she loves him. Then she just goes on like nothing happened. We don't expect her to be crying every 2 seconds but some kind of reaction would have been nice. It wasn't really fun being hit on by Kaidan right after. The fight with Kai Leng was silly. Especially since Shepard and your two squadmates have guns. Thane has a gun, but charges at Leng who has a sword. He death didn't have any real meaning like Mordins or Legions. He can also easily be replaced by Kirrahe during that fight with Leng. If you don't talk to Thane at the hospital he just dies off screen. His name shows up on the wall and that's how you learn he died. Bioware also admitted they droped the ball when it came to Thane in ME3. They just simply forgot.

I don't know if I entirely agree.  He saves the Salarian councilor(which, while not as big a deal in the game as it should be, really is a huge thing), and makes it much easier for my shep to talk Ash down (which is funny, as a non-thanemancer his death is more important than if you are a thanemancer).

But yeah, I get the complaint that nobody misses him.  Joker mentions when Miranda survives (and Tali drunkenly tries to convince me she died.  I see a cliff in Tali's future), but nobody mentions thane that I'm aware of.  Even Ash could have said something (It's heavily implied that they'd met in the hopsital).

I totally understand this, and it left me scratching my head. It was as if Thane was ghost on the SR-2 and to Ash.
