Just a quick picture to say that Youtube's transcribed audio/Party Temple supports your cause.

Well a disappointing reply today from the ME twitter account in response to Squeegee:

Squee - @masseffect We are coming to the end of August. Since March, we've been wanting to #SaveThane. Nothing has changed, even after five months.

ME - @Squeegee83 We are very proud of the game we have made. There are no plans to make any changes.

They also said this:

ME: @MoiraMller @Squeegee83 We understand and appreciate your feedback very much. Thane is a special character.

Yeah, it would be nice if EVERYONE wanted to save Thane, but we already know that they didn't.

What the survey shows is essentially most people that romance Thane want to save him, and the non-romancers are split on whether they want to save him.

That's still a very good portion of the playerbase :)

There is a very important point here that I think that hasn't been covered: most of the people who don't want an option to save Thane say that because they like the current story and they fear that if they give us that option they are going to have to be renegade o jerks with Thane in order to let him die. If you ask them what would they think if the option to save Thane was only for the romancers or was a renegade choice I'm pretty sure that many of them wouldn't mind that the cure option was there.

If you take a look at the comments (or at any save-Thane thread) a lot of people think this way, and a lot of the others simply misundertand the question and answer 'NO, I wouldn't save him' to the question 'should there be an OPTION?'

Anyway, 50% is a good number. It's over 2000 supporters only on the survey. They really have to cosider it.

Edit: after those tweets I wonder who is behind them and if he knows anything about ME2...

A community manager methinks. Still, the conversation is a way for them to gather feedback.
And it seems like that's what they are doing.

Yeah I guess... I was wondering, do you think if I take the survey report, the threads on the forums, the fb and Twitter campaign and everything we've been doing for Thane, print it and staple it in their foreheads, will they see the f***ing feedback once and for all?

Hmm...linking them through twitter is perhaps a good idea?

(Although your suggestion gave me this cartoonish image of us running around and taping* notes on their foreheads)

*Stapling is painful kids! Taping it stings a little, but hey, no blood! :P

stapling is worth a try :P

I don't care about their tweets, and what their 'plans' are... it is my plan to keep needling them about Thane until they give us some DLC that fixes his role, or until they man up and apologise for shafting their female fanbase... I could be here for some time <_<

@moira a cup of tea would be lovely, milk and two sugars for me... are there any biscuits? (must be Thane shaped biscuits, or at the very least they must have ridges)

Just an update (man I'm annoying!), but that huge LI Tribute book has been shipped! Should arrive mid next week but I'll keep you posted :)

LOTS of Thane in there - art, letters etc. He was actually the biggest contribution. Maybe after ALL that they will realize how important he is!

I kind of ground to a halt with it last time but I've made more progress this time round (am no longer in flotsam).  Am playing it on easy though... I find the way potions work to be a bit tedious so hopefully I don't need to plan so much... Iorveth is yummy indeed, as is Thane (thought I better make an on topic comment)

I hope so because some of those answers they are giving just sound stupid.  Do they seriously think people would call out of work just to play Leviatan.

Yes I am not taking time off for Leviathan. I probably won't buy it. Don't we already know the history of the Reapers? Wasn't that what ME2 was??

Yes we do. I don't know what this DLC could tell us that we don't already know. I heard that your squadmates will get new dialogue. The DLC for ME2 didn't have any new dialogue for your squad.

I don't think I'll take serious time off for a game ever again, I can't remember but I took at least 1 week off for ME3 what a total waste of time.

I cringe when I remember I took part in the "space" launch. Actually wasted a day following the stupid thing Posted Image

I don't do twitter, but I wonder if someone could point them to the survey, and say if Thane was such a special character, why did they butcher him so badly in ME3??

With hindsight I can't believe the fuss they went to with that, surely they knew deep down that the game was totally substandard, the leaked accounts of the game were not great PR as I remember.

I would have taken part if I'd lived near London, my location saved me from that particular folly.:P

I'm really impressed with the volume of comments  Thane got in the survey, it is good to see such strong support for our cause.

Am making my way through the LI survey. Really only reading Thane's part because the document is so whopping huge. I find the survey results to be encouraging. I see it as most/all the romancers want a cure, and the ones who don't want him cured are mostly either male sheps or didn't romance him, and for a friend, he has an okay send off. Not great, by any means, like Mordin.

The majority of comments suggest to me that people thought the romance was badly handled, even if they didn't romance Thane. And most people seemed to want more convos with him, and lots wanted the opportunity to heal him and have him be a squaddie, because he was the poster boy for ME2.

I remember the space launch - but I didn't follow it too much. But I did take time off, just like wildannie - I played through once and was left feeling...empty. And bitter. I remember that feeling. Like what did I just spend $80 on??

And Thane did get some good representation in that survey - I was pleasantly surprised! I hope all the ME2 romances get some traction and they create a whole DLC around them!
