And do I want to take a seat? Why, yes, yes I do! Thank you! :3

#ThaneIsAGentleman

Gn, fellow Siha's, I'm currently working on my second Acrostic* with Shep, I'm just stumped for ideas when it comes to choose a pose for her tho.

Can't for the life of me make a decent pose with her in her casual clothing (yes the dress I know) that fits the theme of this Acrostic:

Angelic is her form
Righteous and fierce
A giver of mercy and life
Siha is her name
His Shield from darkness
Unrelenting protector

Slow awakening
In his heart
Her love becomes
A reason to live

Maybe going with her armour is a better idea...?

Gah decisions...decisions!

[Edit] Top! That calls for a picture! Uhm...er...Here!

(That's a good seat too isn it? :3)

Beautiful screenshot Buddy! :)

@ Emerald Can you do both? and then show us and see which is picked more...idk that might be to much work for you though....I was gonna say her casual clothing but then I saw Righteous and Fierce and that got me thinking..."her armor would be better"!...I don't think I'm helping much lol

I'm not that crazy about her casual clothes, and that dress is the worst.

I kinda agree with the dress being bad...I had my shep wear it when I played ME 3 and she went to go talk to Liara....well let's just say femshep doesn't know how to cross her legs like a woman should when sitting down.....I busted out laughing and was like "Yeah Shepard...spread em"! *facepalm*

Anyways I like the design but the way shepard sits with it on bothers me lol!

She doest the same thing in ME2 if you put her in the dress from Kasumi's mission.
They still have her sit like MShep.

The design is nice, but it just doesn't fit shepard right. It doesn't look that great on Diana Allers either. I don't know why they thought we would want her dress.

Heh, I always headcanon my Shep to actually like dresses for some reason. But I agree, the Kasumi dress is better, for some reason the dreaded "butt-zipper" dress makes sense for "my" Shepard though. Yes, I'm weird I know :P

Well anyway...

Here's the casual one:

Image IPB

And here's the armour:

Image IPB
(Note I haven't edited these yet so that's why the "scalp" doesn't match her "face" 100%)

Sorry had to go to a Pampered chef party.....*looks at both femsheps*

Darn I've been looking at it for almost 5 minutes and well I keep thinking that the casual is a bit better...

EDIT: My Head cannon FemShepard always wears a sexy leather suit.....c'mon I mean if Thane can wear sexy leather then so can my Shep lol! Image IPB

Heh, that's pretty much my story too.

I was so used to the dress in ME2 that it felt weird to see my Shep wearing fatigues, uniforms etc. So I figuerd: Eh whatever, I'll take the dress. Sure it's not as stylish as the Kasumi one, but it'll do.

A small note; I played on an SD TV when I began playing ME3. It wasn't until I played the game on a HD-TV that I noticed the "butt-zipper" and went: Lol wut? Why is there a zipper...O.o

And then I remembered Thane's zipper and went: Oh what the heck, she'll just match Thane then! For once, Shep will have a teasing zipper! Considering Thane's assgrab in ME2, it made sense in my gutter-riddled mind.

(And that was before I saw the horror of Thane's "role" in ME3 *sigh* I was so blissfully unaware...)

And for some reason I am "suddenly" reminded of a sketch I made involving said zippers and Shrios. I should finish that one someday...

@Emerald. Yeah, said butt zip would have been convenient if they hadn't murdered our beloved drell.

I'm looking at it and well... I think the casual one is better but..... do you have the model for the Kasumi dress? That would be better.

I don't know, really. Casual works better with that pose, but that dress.... I don't even like the design. It looks far to much like a tank top and no amount of jewellery would dress it up. It looks like an old rag she threw on because she hadn't done her laundry in a month and it's the only thing she had left that was clean. That's what I think of it.

*Remembers Thane's ass grab!*

Aaah Lovely memory! ♥

Y'know what I've also noticed is that in ME 3 that dress makes femsheps butt look big...Kasumi's dress didn't look like that at all in ME 2! I like my shepard to look like a woman cause she is one but that dress in ME 3......now that I've been thinking about it more..it does seem to be a bit on the ****ty side, but hey at least it isn't any shorter than it already is lol!

Hmm...I could try the Kasumi dress (I haven't extracted that model/texture yet but I have ME2 so I can try) I just hope the ME3 head-mesh matches up with the Kasumi dress...Image IPB (And that the "bones" work with a ME2 model)

(Heh it worked after some trial and error! Image IPB)

Now, I need to catch some Image IPB...
Next time I need input on my acrostics that aren't directly featuring Thane, I should perhaps make a poll instead of hijacking the thread lol.

@Roxy Yeah if they make it any shorter she'd be arrested for indecent exposure. Though the neckline is so low that in some countries she would be anyway. *Gak* They HAD to have a bloke design that dress. NO woman would think THAT would be the best thing that Shep could get her hands on.

If it's too much work just go for the armour. But if you can, and it isn't too much work, go for it.

Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to say that the poem is beautiful, too. Perfect for her and Thane. :)

Oh, and also, VOTED! Thane is on par with Miranda...... how did that happen? I thought Mordin or Legion would be first up, not Miranda... oh, wait, just answered my own question in my head. Nevermind. *whistles*

Oh, and I'm booking mum's and my NZ trip over christmas now, so if anyone is going to be in the land of the long white cloud this December/January, let me know so I can organise to be in the same town so we can go out for neck snaps with my Thane plushie! :D

^ I agree that the Kasumi dress is superior to the Allers knock-off dress FemShep can wear in ME3.

Hey guys. I've been MIA for awhile. Lots to catch up on.

For now, I wanted to post a great resource I found at the ME community for Thane's ME2 dialogue. It could be really useful for writing essays or for discussions about the character. Or even just as a refresher on some of the great conversations he had with Shep. I definitely recommend taking a look.

Hey Roxy!

If anyone ever needs to find a specific bit of Thane's ME2 dialogue that place is a good place to look. :) How is your video project coming along?

Anyone else remember this image (from the ME3 artbook, if I'm not mistaken)?:

Image IPB

It has Thane and a few other ME2 characters on the Normandy. I really wish something like this had been included in the actual game.

^Yep I remember...it's in the book, easily my fav ME3 concept art!

That pic (and some of the background history behind it) is part of my headcanon now....minus Sheploo back there tho.

(Miranda, Zaeed, Samara, Legion, Jacob, Tali are present too of course)

On that note, I'm finally gathering facts and background details for my fanfic, if snyone wants to be a guinea-pig for concepts and ideas, I'd be much obliged!

I remember it too. I've spent the last five minutes staring at Thane there. *sigh* This was a great concept. I really REALLY wish they went down this road. SO much better. So long as Hepler didn't have anything to do with it.

And I would love to help you emerald, but I'm pretty sure I've got too much on my plate at the moment. I've got the essay, invictus, forsaken, mappeli's 16 short fics, i'm on the books as The-JoeBlack's beta for his original fantasy comic he's working on, I'm cosmo's beta, an admin for the facebook and da savethane pages.... *sigh*

What would you need me to do anyways?

@Julia I've read the whole thing and wow! ^_^
also when I read the renegade options and the conversation after you failed his loyalty mission....ugh it made me cringe bleh! I would never pick those choices and fail with his mission....although it is true that the dancing turian gets your attention lol!

My video project? Well it's going but...very slowly and still trying to figure things out...I had to get some footage of *sighs* Thane dieing..not fun but it's what I had to do...and it reminded me of how sexist and cruel BW is...Ha I said it again! >:D

Thanks for asking! ^^

@Emerald Good luck with your fanfic and I would love to help however I can..

@myth

*Looks at list* Wow, that's a lot you got on your plate myth!

Well, I would need help regarding fic-concepts, i.e when I've got an idea for a chapter, I'd very much appreciate a second opinion on the idea* behind the chapter. I have got my brother for some consultation, but he is rather well... as a Miri-mancer, his sense for Shrios fluff is not *ehem* the best..

Proofreading is not necessary, I actually kinda want to have a go at that myself.
(Gotta give that CAE** in ESOL*** certificate it's run for the money heh!)

*Wait, is that what a beta is? Dammit I'm such a noob at fic-writing XD

***ESOL= English for Speakers of Other Languages

Guys,I just discovered something awful.

For science, I went into Gibbed and had Thane and Jacob die. Guess what I discovered?

Other than the loss of a few war assets in Jacob's case. their deaths have no impact on the game as whole.

Think about it. If Thane is dead and you have the Major alive, Kirrahe takes his place. You lose some war assets with Kirrahe, but since no one mentions Thane, it's like he and his son didn't exist.

With Jacob, you still recoup the war assets. And it's like he didn't exist too. I mean, who would think taking the Cerberus scientist mission would have you bump into Jacob?

As far as I can tell, no one mourns for these guys. But the funny thing is, even though nobody might mourn for Jack/Samara/Tali etc, you notice their absence during missions. And the missions significantly change.

All the major missions change significantly without the other characters, Even Jacks with her limited role. Garrus has no specific mission, but you miss the bro vibe. Even DLC characters Kasumi and Zaeed change their missions for the better.

Thane and Jacob? There was no point in keeping them alive because nothing really changes in the game. And it sucks.

I kinda knew that in a way cause I've had kirrahe take his place...and he still dies and nobody says one word about it!

This makes me SICK!!!! literaly......what so they just made Thane and Jacob to lure the female fans in to give them the middle finger in the next game.....it seems like it!
Oh this gets me all angry all over again...you have no idea how much I have got to say about them..and its not good!  Image IPB

EDIT: SEXIST!!!!! <---- That is what you are Bioware...if you want respect you gotta give respect and that is lacking in the female fan area....I kindly suggest you give us an option to save Thane wether we have to do it by doing a mission etc. it's not that hard to figure out and please fix the romance...and not just for Thane but for jacob fans make it so that if you have romanced Jacob he hasn't cheated on you! What the hell were you people thinking?!!!

And why am I even writing any of this,BW probably doesn't read in this section or thread!

You guys, seriously. You need to be realistic.

Are you really comparing Jacob to Thane? Jacob is totally lame.

Yeah, I'm not suprised that Thane has no effect on war assets. Don't get me wrong, I (personally) feel his arc had to end in death, but it's like bioware took that as a reason to make him not matter at all.

...don't hate me! Thane should matter! I would even be fine with him surviving!

Jacob isn't lame. I might cringe when my femShep talked to him but he was an decent character with little issues overshadowed by Team Dextro and others.

And even if Jacob was lame, he did not deserve that stereotypical character assaination job. Cheating and getting someone pregnant? In six months?

I seriously want to know why BW did that. It's cruel to Jacob fans who stuck by him.And you know if this happened to Garrus, the boards would meltdown.

@DineBoo

Even more reason why I personally find ME3 bad. And why I'm not budging about #SaveThane and #FixJacob.

Couldn't bring back the old ME2 squadmates?

*Ok, a begrudging "fine". One table is flipped.*

But have them not matter in ME3 besides "Oh drama"? BW, I am gravely disappoint.

*Too much wrath to speak coherently, every table in sight is flipped*
