Coldie, I can't remember the first ever fanfic I read though I'm pretty sure it was one of those linked in the OP.

They were planing to write a blog entry about one character every Saturday, but if there is a lot of people participating maybe they will do more than that. Anyway, as there are plenty of characters and they have volunteers for some of them already there is probably no rush.

I'll tell Sarah to come to this thread and give you a few more details

...I can still write about a character in more general terms even if I haven't done the romance, right?  I mean, I've never romanced Thane or Jacob, so I can't address the specifics, but I CAN address the larger issues surrounding their treatment in ME3.

Yep, you can still write about them -- just check out the critera.  I made a pretty detailed list for the post this morning

Also, as much as I'd personally love to post a crapton of Thane stuff, if we get submissions from like a dozen of you lovely ladies, it might be awhile before we can get them all up, as we'll have to space them out and such, lol.

Equal time and treatment, etc.  But, we'll be posting 2 a week to start out, since we have about a half dozen in progress so far I think.

Also, FYI , I  think right now the plan is to keep to one character/LI per post, so if you have multiple LIs that you want to write about, then please do them separately.  This might evolve, but that's the current plan.

Caveat -- If we get a crazy popular response for this (which isn't expected but possible), we might get to a point where we won't be able to use every well-written submission.  Similarly, if we get 50 submissions for an LI, we won't be able to post even close to all of them. Just putting that out there, lol.

Yepper!  Preferably directly to sarah, as she's sort of "coordinating" the spotlight posts, and my schedule is about to get super-wonky for the next month or so.  I do most of the blog management, though, and will likely be the one who'll be "lightly copyediting" the posts. 

BTW, Coldi is officially a part of the team now, so give her a high-five!  Monday Musings is now her weekly column

And because I just woke up bout an hour ago and because I have some sausage and biscuits and gravy going in the kitchen and because you derailed my main thoughts with thoughts of writing something for Samara, I need to go check on my dinner/breakfast.

Gears, what are biscuits? In this context. Not the sweet chocolate or shortbread or whatever biscuits we have here in aus (and everwhere except america, apparently), but american "biscuits" eaten with meat at breakfast or whatever. What are they?

And please don't tell me that they're savoury scones or something like that and the name is just a case of some backwards redneck yank from ye olde times being arrogant or stupid or whatever and giving a new name to something that already had one. You know, like the jam/jelly/preserves thing. And shrimp (they're bloody PRAWNS!!!)

Biscuits and gravy mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I don't know what everyone else does for their biscuits I always buy Corn Bread mix and bake it in the oven and fry the sausage and add sausage gravy and mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, honestly I rolled out of bed at 6 Pm and had a hankering for that so I cooked it.


Also I know why they put the star gazer scene at the end of ME3. Because the catalyst the little boy was Mr H's idea and he secretly wanted his happy ending with his dream LI the little boy. So we all got shafted for Mac's blue waifu and Mr H's little boy.

As for biscuits and gravy. It is a common American dish (though they might serve it elsewhere as well). The biscuits are not sweet, nor are they scones. They are more flaky. Though they are not sweet, the biscuit by themselves are not savory either; sort of neutral, oddly enough. They are often the same type of biscuit used for both savory and sweet dishes. An example of a sweet dish is using the same type of biscuit in place of shortbread/shortcake with strawberries and whipped cream. There is a restaurant not far from me (Southern style cooking), that uses biscuits with their soups, but also has dishes where a biscuit side and honey are given.

Okay, enough with the biscuits...the word is now stuck in my head. I'm going to start calling my dog that in a moment, and my husband.

It's pretty common in the South, but certainly not universal in the US.  Pretty much nonexistent in the northern states and along the west coast.  I'm a California girl, and I had no clue what they were until my friend from Florida enlightened me a few months ago.
