Now if that is the case then Thane must already be in some kind of treatment because if Thane is Shepard’s LI she would have probably waited a few months till he dies, now wouldn’t she. And he isn’t dead yet - that was confirmed. If she surrendered she knew that they might not see each other for a while. Now you wouldn’t do that if your love had only few months to live and if you can decide when to turn yourself in (which I think is the case here).

I'm not exactly catching what you mean there 51ha.51ha wrote...

@Cosmochyck
Aww, I want to take Thane to a desert too. Preferably Intai'sei if the Reapers don't raze it first.
@JECWSU
Yeah, I don't want to think about disloyal Thane's fate either. It's just too sad. Geez, I hope Shepard can help him too. Speaking of Kolyat, I wonder how that would go. I don't think Bioware's going to make that a "funny" moment, but more credit to them if they did. I don't see how a female Shepard, who's romancing Thane, can not make that meeting awkward.
@Fiery
Dangit man. I was in a good mood too.

If Shepard surrendered herself right before ME3, she wouldn't do that if Thane had only a few months left to live since there is a chance they might not see each other ever again if he dies. You know if Shepard gets locked up or the trial takes too long. Thane doesn’t have much time left after ME2.
But if he is getting some kind of treatment then it’s not really a problem how long it takes.
I don't know how else to explain it.

I would love for Shepard to take Thane to the desert. I always thought Intai'sei was perfect for Thane. Shepard already has that apartment there. I thought we might see it in ME2, but we didn't. I really would like to have it back in ME3, so we can take Thane there.
I doubt Kolyat is going to be happy when he finds out about Shepard. She didn't exactly make a good first impression. She either hit him, shot him, or killed someone right in front of him. Then she's human so I don't know how he is going to feel about that. I do think he will eventually come around. Before he deals with all of that he really needs to work things out with Thane first.
@Fiery
I have only seen it on Youtube once so I couldn't remember exactly what Thane said. That has to be one of the saddest things I have ever read. He sounds like a man who as lost everything, and has completely given up on life.

From what I've seen so far timelines have not been confirmed yet. Besides Thane said it's 8-12 months before his illness affects him. I expect ME3 is going to start happening before that number is up.
@JECWSU
One can only hope Intai'sei will be revisited in ME3. Perhaps it might be an epilogue thing.
In one way or another Kolyat's going to find out, but yeah his relationship with Thane is the bigger issue.

@Enmystic
Pinnacle Station wasn't exactly my favroite dlc, but I did think the apartment was nice. It seemed pretty isolated too. An epilogue would be a nice idea. I still wish we could see it again though.
I wonder if Thane will just tell Kolyat, or will he find out by accident. Either way he probably won't be thrilled.

Have they? I've read all kinds of despute over the Arrival/ME3 timeline so I'm taking anything too seriously right now. I don't know what condition Thane will be in. Probably deteriorating like in ME2, but not bedridden.JECWSU wrote...
So they haven't told us the exact timeline yet have they? They have already said if Thane survived your playthrough then you will see him in ME3. I just wonder what condition he will be in.

Nope, Kolyat won't be thrilled.

He probably will take some treatment since he dosn't have a death wish anymore. I don't see why he wouldn't.. he has Shepard ( if each others LI's) ,and hes back in contact with Kolyat.

On-topic: 5iha brings an interesting thought to the table. There are quite a few variables involved so I'm no entirely sure I can make an educated guess. Suffice to say, I'm confident that we will see Thane not too long into ME3. The only concern is his condition, really. That is, how he is when Shepard does see him.

Haha thanks
I am most defiantly sure that everyone will be seeing Thane in Me3 , not only because BW is bringing all your squadies back, but hopefully and possibly give Thane a .. better ending for the game series. I wouldn't think they would just kill him off when he is such an important squad memeber in the game even though he is almost the last squad memeber you get. When Thane said he was dying , I bet that had everyone on edge when the game ended.. cause you don't know if he will die or still be alive in Me3 which I am sure he will still be in the game, doing treatments or giving him a longer chance at life , to have Mordin/Hanar make a cure. His condition wise? I am also concerned . My best guess on his condition, like how many months he is in .. I'd estimate around 5-6. From what I have read on posts about the time-line after Me2 is done and Me3 starts, they think around 2-3 months. So he'd be in his 8-9 months when he has up to 12. So I am sure that they will probably get a cure or a treatment in those 2-3 months

I really don't think he'll be lying in bed when next we see him. That's just silly.

I was thinking about Alliance & Shepard today. Like You, I don't think, that there was a fight between Alliance and Shepard&Team over Normandy. Probably You are right, when You said that Shepard surrendered. Shepard knew, that she will have to answer becouse of those batarians death ( Hackett inform her about that). She also ( at last my Shepard) care about her crew ( even if they are from Cerberus) and teammates. I was imagine, that she knew, that Alliance will try to arrest her, so she went somewhere ( maybe on Omega or something) so crew could leave the ship. This same about companions. I would prefer to not see Thane anymore in her life, than see him killed by Alliance soldiers, or the worse, by new Human Spectre. Especially if I really belive, that even Anderson looks, like he trust Shepard, there is a small army hunting her after " Arrival". Who knows, maybe Alliance and Council want to sacrifice one person-Shepard to avoid the new war between Alliance ( humanity) and Batarians? For Council she can be " rogue" Spectre, for the others murderer, remember that no one belive in Reapers. So who will belive, that Shepard had to destroy this Mass Relay? So I imagine that Shepard told her friends go ( and maybe continue research about Reapers), let her crew escape before Alliance was coming for her, hide, that EDI is now a Normandy, and surrendered.51ha wrote...
The latest comic got me thinking. Since Alliance confiscated Normandy and Shepard is arrested, I think the only explanation for that to happen is if Shepard surrendered. I don’t think a full crew and Shepard and squad mates and EDI can be that easily defeated (or at all). It was probably Anderson’s idea or in any case he had some sort of plan (if things go sour). Anyway Shepard probably agreed to surrender under the condition that everyone else from the Normandy goes free. So, when Normandy get’s in to the Alliance’s hands the only one on board is Shepard and EDI (and maybe Joker).

I certainly hope not. That is after all the last thing Thane wanted according to the letter he wrote to Shepard.

That is true, and hopefully he is doing something like that. I just can't see him wondering the galaxy doing nothing while Shepard is on trial. Especially if he is your LI.

I'd think he'd be stuck to Shepard like glue ^__^. If he wasn't with Shepard, I'd think he'd be with Kolyat.. making up for those years that he hasn't been in contact.
