Don't be too hard on him,  what he told me was logical because I tweeted him about the same thing twice (although it was different days and with other words). But I'm actually really glad of what he said: he actually reads our tweets! It's awesome! I didn't think he did. We have to push them because the game is sexist and they should fix it, but please don't be nasty or they will ignore us

No worries, I try to stay as civil as possible on twitter. However Sihawarrior's response to that made me lol quite hard.
Though to be honest, unless you were literally copy&pasting the same tweet over and over again to him, he came across as kind of rude in his response to you. But yes you're right, it seems like we're starting to get noticed by them.

And I find it quite funny that he immediately tells us to unfollow him, he's obviously tired of us and just wants the problem to go away but hell no it won't!

I only tweeted him twice and both tweets were totally different although they were about sexism in ME3 so yes, he was a bit rude with me... I understand that a lot of girls tweeted him about that after he said he was proud of having so many female fans, but anyway I don't care. What I loved about his reply is that he read both of my tweets and even remembered it was me, so he actually reads them! woohoo! That's why I say that we should keep tweeting him politely and not the same person all the time, to let him know how important this problem is for us.

If he says unfollow him I say come on girls, I know you think the same so let's show him!

LOL Yup, Shep dancing is really painful to watch-let alone that my Shep actually thinks she CAN dance...and she really, really, really can't!!

I'm Siha Warrior and wildannie722, I was using tweetdeck and accidentally tweeted the same thing from both accounts... I'd just got in from a good night out with friends and many appleton and cokes and was a little bit inebriated. He was clearly in a bad mood himself because he had been quite rude to earendil87, and my response was snarky but he replied to it on both accounts! maybe touched a nerve. I stopped following him on wildannie account but Siha Warrior has to keep tabs on what's happening

Tbh, this isn't the first time a nerve has been struck.
Last time I recall was an entirely different situation (and unrelated to Thane).

But, the biggest reason we are pointing this out is because we want BW to be held to a higher standard in this regard. I.e. as female fans we find Thane/Jacob's content substandard, as such we would obviously like to see it addressed in DLC.

Perhaps a subtle, (but civil) reminder of the above is in order? Then again twitter's 140 character limit is...not the easiest way to express it. :/

(Or maybe Ï'm just rambling over here...whenever I stare at the 3dsMax' material editor for too long my brain turns into mush. :S )

Anyway, although we have plenty of reasons to demand a fix on Thane's story I think our best shot is through the sexism in the game. It just gets more attention because it's sex discrimination and makes the company look bad. And it's totally true! they forgot Thane and Jacob as LIs but they didn't forget the 4 lesbian chicks hitting on FemShep...

It's not that we want them to change the story, it's that they actually forgot to write it!

The mass effect team has been asking for fan suggestions for mass effect 4 and dlcs.

Weird that they ask for fan feedback and then Gamble goes into a huff asking for people to unfollow him when he gets feeedback.

LOL.  It's ok my dear.  We'll keep it in the vault, about you being off your rocker.    (actually, that is one of the reasons I stay away from FB; don't think I need my nephew knowing some of the things I say, think, and do.  Yikes!)

And as far as constructive; would they even understand the difference?  Not actually being flippant here.  Seriously.  I mean I get snarky can be snarky, but I have seen people post on different sites, that appear constructive to me, but they get taken for criticism or the dreaded word, "whiny".  So in all honesty, is something constructive only if we are praising?  I doubt they actually believe that, but their actions seem to say something else.

I saw your tweet. I could tell he didn't like being called out on anyting.

To this day they haven't given a really good excuse for doing what they did to Thane or Jacob. We have gotten some really lame excuses for Thane and I don't think they have given one excuse for the way they treated Jacob.

@coldi I do have a facebook account but I wish I didn't (it would seem rude to close it down now though). I don't really like to advertise what I'm doing, thinking etc to everyone I know, just not comfortable with it.
Yeah I don't think they really listen, I get the impression that they pay attention to popularity (hence shafting female gamers). Its very easy for them to back up anything they do by saying 'fan feedback led us to do this' (there's a group of fans to support/question everything they do) but we know from our experience that they didn't listen at all to the Thane fans when writing his role in ME3, they listened to numbers, same goes for Jacob.

@JECW Yeah, it is much harder to make up an excuse for what they did to Jacob... how could they even begin to try and justify that? There's no justification for Thane's treatment either but because we did know he was ill some have attempted it but they never fail to sound ignorant and out of touch.

Bout the Twitter thing eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh the limit suuuuuuucccccccccckkkkkks. I hate that. I too have multiple accounts on certain places and have sent a reply to someone under the wrong account at times. Mainly Tumblr. hahhahahahaahahahaahhaha.

Chris is the community guy--I very much doubt he had anything to do with the treatment of FemShep's LIs in ME3.  And TBH, he puts up with a lot of crap from the BSN and has for several years now.  The guy's remarkably patient all things considered.

That's because there is no excuse for what they did to Jacob. They did it because he isn't the most popular character and they thought no one would really care. The problem is even people who didn't do the romance or who don't really like him agree this was awful treatment for him.

The excuses for Thane are pretty bad too. The worse one being they forgot.
I don't think I will ever really believe they forgot.
