Agree..this scene is great. For me Kaidan and Thane  romance scenes are the best I saw in BioWare games.
And I agree also, that ppl here have amazing ideas about Thane. ( hope BioWare have at last something similar to them)
Fight between Thane and Kai Leng would be spectacular, really....of course Thane have to win

That would def. be an epic fight between them. Somehow I picture a romeo must die outlook. Thane and Kai leng surrounded by fire all around them, clothes a torn, both bleeding, getting in their battle stances for once last good fight.

Speaking of recruitment, it has been stated by BioWare that the squad mechanics won't work the same as they always have in ME3. They've even implied there is no "fixed" squad composition in ME3, which really means everyone is equally likely to be a squadmate, depending on certain factors (which are currently unknown).

Sounds really creative from everyone. Anyone have any fan art of their own custom character that they dream of putting in mass effect 3? If you do post it in the forum of mass effect character push. It´s something I developed to actually make an attempt to catch bioware´s eye. Character appearance and a brief bio and then when i get enough characters, I will do polls so all of us can vote the best character. After that we can make a thread for the winner and try to push that character for bioware to put in .

I've heard that too. I've heard that some may be with you longer than others. I have no problem with everyone being equally likely to be a squadmate. I just know that if the ones they have listed so far are it I won't be happy. I'll still buy the game, but I'm not going to enjoy it as much with out Thane.

Yes, I heard about this, and to be honest Im not sure if I will be happy with this. In RPG games I usually want to know all of the companions, but I prefer to travel only with my favourite. That's why my Bhaal daughter always travel with Haer'Dalis, Imoen, Jaheira, Minsc, Tsujatha ( mod), Hero of Neverwinter with Deekin and Valen, Captain of Crossroad Keep with Casavir, Bishop and Neeshka, Revan with Carth and Canderous ( why I can't romance Ordo? ), Shepard with Kaidan, Ash, Wrex and Garrus ( depends on her class) in ME1, and Thane ( always in team as soon as possible) with Samara/Zaeed/Garrus...
I would be happy if I will be able to have Thane& Kaidan ( don't know if it will be possible becouse of all those "cheating" things) for my soldier Shepard, and Thane&Garrus for my Infiltrator by whole game...

@LiveLoveThaneKrios...I like Garrus very much from the first time I meet him, and he is always BFF for all my Sheps..but honestly I never tried romance with him....hmm...To be honest I never tried any romance in ME2 but Thane

Miranda and Thane are the only ME2 romances I've tried. I tried Miranda on my very first playthrough and Thane on four individual playthrough's after that. You could say he was my main love interest in ME2, as I was originally anticipating Ashley's return but thanks to BioWare I got nothing about Ashley but a framed picture staring back at me.

Garrus' romance is really quite endearing. When the "we could ease stress together" (or whatever it was..it's been a while..) option came up, I was certain it was meant as a joke, because it's Garrus. But after a while, I really grew to like the whole thing. Also, I view him as a cross between Tekken's Yoshimitsu and MST3K's Crow T. Robot (in appearance...) So I sorta had a soft spot for him beforehand, seeing as I love those two.

Thane's romance is more "instant-physical-attraction-romance-'splosion." Well maybe not instant, but pretty friggin' close. It's clear Thane falls for FemShep, whether or not she returns his feelings. I actually feel awful if I turn Thane down, it's like kicking a scaly puppy.

Like many others, I've tried Jacob's romance and it just doesn't fit with my Shep's character. If they'd made it a little less "OH HAI THAR MR. TAYLOR" I could have finished it.

...and I only romanced Kaidan for the achievement. I'm a horrible person.

I'm not entirely sure I felt there was any physical attraction in Thane's romance, Shepen. It was purely emotional.

He does call Femshep beautiful once, I believe. And Femshep (if i remember right, again, been a while) implies that she finds him "sexy" to Kelly... or am I wrong? At any rate, I wasn't speaking from Thane's side, more from Femshep's, as it seems to me there was dialogue that did speak of her attraction to him. Since I'm coming up empty here, I may be completely wrong.

I'm not saying their relationship is based on physical attraction, because it clearly isn't. But I was certain the signs were there. I may have been looking too hard.

I really did enjoy Garrus' romance. At first I wasn't so sure about it,but after giving it a try I did really like it. It's very sweet and I'm looking forward to what happens with them. Also I hate watching his rejection. Garrus and Jacks rejections are the worst.

With Thane I found everything I wanted in a romance. I haven't done Jacobs yet. After I played ME1 I did find myself wishing that they had given more options for femShep. I did do Kaidans romance and it was nice, but I wanted at least another option. I was glad that they gave us three options for ME2. Thane became my favorite of them all.

Physical attraction for who? Thane or Shepard.

I agree that it is mostly an emotional connection between the two, but I like to think that they are also physically attracted to eachother. Maybe not at first,but I do think it is there. It also depends on your Shepard. Some may play theirs as being attracted to Thane instantly or at least finding him attractive. I don't remember if Thane says anything about Shepards looks though.

To me, the fact that half the romantic dialogues with Thane weren't spent discussing or dancing around the issue of physical differences between the two species made me feel like there was physical attraction involved. It just didn't need to be said. Besides... that kiss and Thane's hands were on Shepard's.... *sigh*.

EDIT: HEY!!! Look at that link closely, Take a close look at the jack of hearts. There is some definite cybernetic stuff going on there.... or am I seeing things?

edit #2.. got a bigger picture, now not so sure... but it isn't his same outfit, is it?

on closer inspection, it's the same, just tinted blue for some reason. URRRGH. thought i had something there.

I always pictured his character design in the 3rd game with cybernetics. Wish I could draw cause I have some sweet mental images of thane 2.0. Maybe he will have cybernetics showing through that exposed square of fabric on his chest. If he does he is going to be even stronger and deadlier! This is how a Thane cure plays out in my head- lots of awesome cybernetics so Shepard and Thane can be robo buddies! 

Like a green version of this minus the robo arms:  (Notice the detailing on the throat area.)

Yes, I agree with a possible cure ending for Thane through cybernetics.  Reverse engineered Reaper tech...or something else.  I'd always imagined him having four medium sized metal parts partly visible on his exposed chest.  It could look really cool if designed the right way. 

I may have to draw that in the future...

I was speaking from both perspectives, actually. Even if there was physical attraction of some sort, it didn't strike me as obvious. The whole premise of Thane's romance is a fundamentally emotional one, which makes me appreciate it even more.

EDIT: Was just on Twitter and Patrick Weekes confirmed Kahje's presence in ME3, and the ability to visit it.
