I'm more than happy to try multiplayer with the Thane fanbase...
I am not at all 'wild' btw - it's a term my boyfriend used  in reference to my messy hair on a windy day. '
my gamertag is wildannie722, I've never played online multiplayer, mostly because none of my friends play games, and I'm quite a reserved quiet person .

I'm not a fan of Thane's alternate appearance outfit, no drell chest makes me sad. Although, it was more realistic to see him in some armor. I doubt he'll be wearing anything too different from his ME2 gear, we haven't seen any major tweaks with any of the other character's outfits.

My gamer tag is disc0NNECT7, marvel at my creativity. The only online multiplayer I've recently done is Halo Reach with a friend of mine who enjoys the game more than I, and AC:Brotherhood.

One thing real if, if you'll indulge me:

I thought Shepard said "It's difficult, but all things worth keeping are" about Jack. And Shepard said something about "not knowing just how much time we have left" about Thane.

Am I remembering wrong?

I think the title is a reference to a conversation Shepard had with Thane about how he was patching things up with Kolyat after his loyalty mission. Thane responded to Shepard's inquiry about his resolved relationship with Kolyat by saying-"It's difficult. All things worth keeping are."

I might be mistaken, since I haven't played the game in a few months.

It's correct. The title refers to one of Thane's own lines.

The quote is in Thane's loyalty quest in a discussion related to Kolyat. Thane says the line to Shepard.

I believe Shepard does say a similar line to Jack, though. But I don't really recall, either.

I would be really happy to have a team of people doing co-op, I am all up for it! I will definately have one playthrough as a (female) drell if it is an option.
I believe the female sexes of various playable aliens are yet to be confirmed.

I am on the PC, so when ME3 comes out, just drop me a line if you want to join in a game!

(SO EXCITED!)

Ahem.

I always found that ironic too Fiery!

Edit: Verly! You have me! Image IPB

I play on both Fiery xD

My first few playthroughs are on the xbox, as our PC had died and we had no money to replace it. But primarily I have always been a PC gamer. However, I played DA2 on the xbox too because it wouldn't work on my computer :'(

So this is why you now have all the Thane screenies from me! :)

It is going to be rather fun playing as a Drell.
Hopefully if you can, I have heard talk from a few people around the forums that you won't be able to since a lot of the Drell have KS. :(

Fooey with them though at the moment ^_^

For anyone though, wanting to play, I'll post my gamertag later on. I am in the middle of changing the GT, since its getting a little to old for me now :D

On-Topic Wise ( from what I last seen , that was not about multi-player) : I actually hope Thane keeps his outfit that he has in ME2. I think its because I'm used to it .. or I am a freak.B)
I would be happy though if he got another option of clothing like he did when you completed his loyalty mission.

I play on the PC myself. I use to play on the xbox, but I can't do all the modding I have become addicted to there.

I aslo think he will probably keep the same outfit. As long as it's not the alternate appearance out fit I'm fine. I really hated those sunglasses, and earrings.

It's good to know there are pc players. I'd just hate getting stuck with a group that doesn't like I'm a girl playing a game. It happens in mutliplayer settings. It's the reason the only mmorpg I play is lord of the rings online. the averaged player there seems to be an adult that understand that both women and men play games. lol

I guess some people still think only men play games. How sad.

I can relate to that; I've heard some pretty awful things online. There are some very immature gamers out there. The trash talking just gets ridiculous.

Someone I know was just telling me a horror story about this very same problem a little while ago. It sickens me but it is what it is. World's full of ridiculous people.

At least we have some really cool people to help make up for it. :wizard:

I never reveal that I am female when playing online, I just have the smug satisfaction of knowing that a girl just kicked their asses. And if I need to communicate in a game, I'll just invite friends.

And @ LiveLoveThaneKrios, Drell have been confirmed as a playable race. Also, although KS is common, it is not so common as it affects a majority of the species, so that isn't really an excuse as to why you can't play as a drell.

For example, out of the tiny sample of Drell we have in Mass Effect 2, out of three, only one as KS. From what I could gather, it is only Drell who spend a large amount of time on wet worlds like Kahje that get the illness anyway. And Thane frequently had to go to Kahje to liason with his Hanar contacts.

Didn't Thane live on Kahje? I thought that was were most of his work took place. I thought one of the reasons he developed the disease was because he wasn't always in the environmentally controlled areas. Kahje isn't the best world for the Drell to live on, but I don't think any of them would leave.

If I'm understanding/remembering this correctly, the current "generation" of drell suffers far less from Kepral's than its predecessors. This is because Kepral's develops a) as a result of the sudden environmental change that comes with the transition from Rakana (sp?) to Kahje and B) when the drell in question doesn't maintain themselves in environmentally controlled areas. Thane eats it from both sides, apparently.

Of course, I'm assuming Kepral's Syndrome is in no way or shape or form a genetic disease, in which case any drell born and raised on Kahje should be less prone to developing Kepral's. But I'm not really sure so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't believe it is genetic. As long as they stay in the environmentally controlled areas they should be fine. I think Thane spent far to much time outside of those areas because of his work.

That would make sense, then. According to the Codex, it isn't uncommon for drell to develop Kepral's but I'd imagine they're not a terrible lot in the grand scheme of things. We've seen Kolyat; we've seen Feron. Both of them seem perfectly healthy. And Feron WAS some sort of secret agent for the Shadow Broker before he joined up with Liara.
