She's crazy. (as everyone well knows) plus it's not as bad as Orsino's "we're winning but I'll go bonkers anyway!"

Also agreed about that being asinine. I really should've been able to lop Grace's head off on sight.
i agree with that, an entire group cannot be punished for the actions of a minority within the group. In 2 out of the 3 playthroughs of the game i support mages. All i am saying that considering what hawke had experienced, it no suprise that somebody might support the templars.LobselVith8 wrote...

I am playing a reaver/probably templar...
My sister is a mage, it is not the circle's fault but anders, Meridith is f***ing insane... I just can't convince myself to anull an innocent-ish (so many blood mages lol) circle of my sister's kind.
Anybody able to help convince me? Any ideas? lol
A blood mage kills your mother and is though that the guy who did this was helped by orsino. Also more than half the enemies you face on the game are blood mages doing horrible things. What more do you need?
The OP seems to have an issue with killing thousands of men, women, and children who are innocent of what Anders did, and in addition who are innocent are innocent of the actions of criminals outside the Gallows and the actions of one, single man.

Pretty much this, If you support the Templars, you can use this or you can be a pure Templar supporter. Hawke even says this many times in the final battle, and to Merrill, which calms down Merrill and she stays with her friend and agrees with Hawke it was takeo ut of her hand.Xewaka wrote...
It's easy. A mage just blew up the Chantry. He wasn't in the Circle, but the populace don't care, they'll want the mages gone. To prevent the rioting and mob lynching that would follow the terrorist attack on the Chantry, the Champion of Kirkwall, defender of the people, has to make the hard choice to help suppress the mages, in the hopes that his/her presence keeps Meredith under check. The Champion is the only one who can talk back to her now, after all.

First off there's no proof of these "thousands" you get a codex saying "hundreds".

You can spare inocent mages if you side with the Templars, and it makes sense. Not like the horrible mage ending that was justThe Ethereal Writer Redux wrote...

The templar ending is much more coherent. But... Hawke still leaves Kirkwall for some reason.
Sadly we have to assume some mages escaped and warned the other Circles because we didn't see enough of the RoA. If none escaped, then I guess some Templars have very loose lips.![]()
Welcome to the many rush aspects of DA2, Act 3 plot is so rushed it's not even funny.bluebullets wrote...

It really goes back to Decimus attacking you for no reason, especially if you have mages in your party.
"They're not Templars, Decimus!"
"What do I care?! I'm a blood mage, trallalalalala!!!"

Would've been vastly preferred. Alas. The Ethereal Writer Redux wrote...
What should've happened was this:
- Hawke enters cavern
- Hawke and company converse with all mages and finding out more about them
- Hawke has to choose between turning them in or letting them go
- If Hawke lets them go, then if they get caught (still on the fence whether that should stay), Grace and Decimus join Thrask in BSC and don't go insane and don't kill one of the very few good Templars we meet.
- If Hawke says "I'm going to turn you in", then Decimus attacks you. And then you turn in Grace and she goes insane and kills Thrask in BSC
LobselVith8 wrote.
That would require Hawke to be proactive, or for Grace to be something other than a cardboard cutout villain who makes no sense.

Definitely would've been preferred. The Mage-Templar rebellion by Thrask still could've been thwarted if you let her go, but by something else. Templar plants or something who had been very careful and had been leaking information to Meredith. and then Samson brings Cullen along.
Thrask gets thrown out of the Templars. Hawke's influence as the Champion can either save or damn the mages.
*Sigh* What could've been.
