I was perusing the Mass Effect Wiki and found the entry for the next Novel. It sounds like she's coming back in a big way and gunning for Cerberus.

Since we know Kai Leng is going to be a serious bad guy and we've already seen that we're getting a new Male squaddie could she be Vegas' counterpart? He's a soldier and she should be a Biotic Adept, they would complement each other quite nicely for squad balance.

Plus I really like the idea of taking her to meet Aria after how Aria's daughter is killed and it is blamed on her father. Could make for some seriously compelling storytelling.

Isn't she only going to be about 16 years old at the time of ME3?

She's also a high-functioning autistic.  While it'd be up to her, deciding to be "romanced," there's still two layers of "squickiness" here.

An autistic 16-year-old girl as a LI?

No thanks.

I'll be surprised if she isn't even mentioned in ME3, considering how potentially important she can be.

I am unfamiliar with this Gillian Grayson. Is she promiscuous?

Ahahaha, just kidding! Excuse my quirky-strangeness, I was a bottle-baby. :crying:

OK, so not a LI but what about the idea of a squaddie? BTW, I thought she was closer to 18 by now but it's been a while since I read that book. Wasn't it shortly after ME1?

I would expect her to be probably the strongest biotic ever introduced to us in ME. Sounds useful :)

Uhm, Autism ≠ insane.

So now that we're past the LI part, how about the rest of the idea? She would seriously kick ass.

Gillian ≥ Miranda + Jack.

No, the last book, Retribution, took place about a year after ME2 and she was 15 then (no appearance, just a mention).  So, she's about 16 during ME3.

How can it be about a year after ME2, the reapers would have already invaded. Isn't ME3 starting about then?

Still point made, at best she would be about 17.

I really liked GIllian in Ascension. I am looking forward to seeing how her character is developed in the new novel. Definitely would like to see her as a squadmate but as a LI? Depends if bioware decides to make her more mature in the new book.

Oh, I seem to remember the blurb for that book having mentioned something different before. I'm glad to see they're continuing the arc from the first three books, even if it isn't the same writer anymore. Hopefully Dietz does a decent job; I heard he got some hard flak for some Halo book.

Anyway, I've been hoping Gillian will play a role in ME3 for a while. LI? Uh, no, too young. But squadmate? Sure!

I should rephrase, sorry.  ME2 took place during most of 2185, Arrival happened about January 2186, and Retribution shortly after Arrival.

I've never read the books, but I think if we have another new squadmate it would have to be a tech, not an adept, since Liara is assured and Vega will likely be a soldier.

Shepard will be 32-33 in Mass Effect 3. If we go by xkcd's Standard Creepiness rule of don't date under (age/2+7) xkcd.com/314/ , the minimum age for a LI is 23. Gillian will be 16-17 in Mass Effect 3. Therefore: Gillian as love interest = creepy.
