She's also not exactly sane

Uhm, Autism ≠ insane.

So now that we're past the LI part, how about the rest of the idea? She would seriously kick ass.

Gillian ≥ Miranda + Jack.

That's debatable.

Anyway, I wouldn't take an autistic teenager in to a combat situation, regardless of her abilities, unless it were some sort of escort mission (boo escort missions).  And before someone starts, Jack's instability is behavioral, whereas autism is neural.

Yay escort missions if escortee is a temporary squaddie, or a fourth member of your squad. Nothing against more firepower, especially if it comes in the form of giant singularities and unstable warps.

Oddly enough, the external link to Random House's page on that book is currently down. Wonder if it wasn't supposed to be up yet or something?

Kind of bummed that the book's been shelved (har har) from September until January, but with ME3's delay I'm sure that's the main thrust of the reasoning.

While I am not really interested in bringing her in as a romanceable character I sure am hoping to see her in ME3 - she is an interesting character!

I was wondering whether if she or Jack are strongest in terms of biotics, She apparently can devastate enemies but according to Jack's dossier Jack is the strongest human biotic ever, perhaps if Jack is not a squad mate, Gillian will be her replacement?

The game isn't made in Japan, silly people.

But I'll take her as a squadmate.

Hopefully Bioware includes some more characters from the books. We've already got Kai Leng, which is very cool. Now I hope they include Gillian Grayson and Kahlee Sanders (she's been a long time player in the ME series, and yet we've seen none of her in the games. With her now being Anderson's girlfriend I'd say her chances of appearing are increased. I don't care what people think of her, I say it's high time she makes an appearance.)

Assuming she's already 18 when ME3 takes place, I'd love to have her as a squaddie. As a romanceable, however, no... just no. To put it in perspective: she was only 12 at the time of Eden Prime. Besides, I'm rooting for her and Nick to get together in ME3 or Deception.

I'd love to see Kahlee in the game, gotta say.

Gillian is a verry interesting character and she has one of the most promising opening scenes: She probably still lives on the flotilla and wears a enviromental suit so. Shepard see's what he and we believe to be a Quarian taking of her helmet and it's Gillian underneath... I can see that happening.

I'd prefer to have previous squadmates returning to be permanent ones, however I'd love it if she was an important NPC. She was involved in the whole Cerberus/Migrant Fleet issue, and what with Shep being hunted by Kai Leng, it seems an excellent opportunity to have her in there somewhere. She was an interesting character in the books. I wonder what Jack would make of her.

Eh, no. We've already have two biotic squaddies with serious long-term defects due indirectly to biotics. No need to have a third.

Plus the conversations might be a little... awkward, since she doesn't talk much.

As an...LI? HELL NO, she's just a kid!

I really don't want to see any of the book's OC's in ME3, but I guess she's the least disagreeable.

She's legal in the UK =P But nah, it'd feel wrong romancing an autistic girl... very wrong. Rather have her as a squadmate and see where it goes from there.

Gillian is Jack 2.0 not as a character. But her biotics are based off Jack's

Maybe Gillian dies in the book Deception, to make people hate Kai Leng and TIM even more.
Gillian is Autistic has no idea how powerful and dangerous Cerberus is and can easily be overwhelmed

lol seems like people are hoping for Kahlee Sanders to die rather than the poor 16 year old autistic girl.

I am very curious how much more Gillian can advance. Jack needed a childhood of drugs, implants, and painful experiments to get to where she is (cutscene wise cause she can't take down a single varren in gameplay), Gillian seems like she was just born into it. Personally I'd take anyone over Jack.

Gillian was gifted just like Jack as a child.

Gillian was given augmentations from a Cerberus agent during her time  the Ascension Project

Alien LI, same-sex LI (maybe even same-sex alien LI...), so don't dismiss under-aged autistic LI just yet!

Didn't know she was given augmentations aside from the standard L4 implants:huh: Guess I should start reading some books

Some sort appearance in ME 3? Yes!

Squadmate? YES!!!

LI? Let me have the Nostalgia Critic speak for me.

What I would find really interesting is the reactions people would have if it were announced that she was a love interest for a female Shepard! The double standards kicking in would spawn many interesting discussions. (BTW, I do NOT support having Gillian as an LI for Shepard REGARDLESS of gender.)
