If I start a new game, do I loose all my saved games? I wanted to run two games in parallel... one as Mage and one as Rogue... Any suggestions?

No you wont lose your saves, you start a new game, a new character, and that's where the saves are based on.

I like having a mage support the templars. But if you are going to run it parallel, make sure you know which quests are exclusive to picking a specific side.
