Here's hoping that Morinth gets a full treatment/storyline for ME3. I only have one playthrough where she survives, but it's going to be awesome to see how that decision plays out. I really hope she's not just a throwaway cameo! That voice actress is seriously underutilized, that's for sure.

I hope Morinth and Samara have significantly different roles in ME3...and not Morinth is Samara again.

Samara (or the lack thereof) could have a serious impact on recruiting the Asari. The Asari would likely give a great deal of consideration to the words of a Justicar.
Probably not so much if they discover that "Samara" is actually her Ardat-Yakshi daughter, however.

I kind of hope they do more with her then just a news report or cameo, where you learned she killed a bunch of people, and that's it.

Being a huge Natalia Cigliuti fan, I am dying to meet Morinth in ME3 (no pun intended).
She is definitely more complex and interesting than your average 'evil' character and having her in the crew as a contrast to other 'goodies' may bring quite an amuzing tone to Shepard's team.

I'd be interested to see how a Morinth/Jack relationship would develop once Jack discovers who Morinth really is. Anyone else ever wonder about that?

I think Jack wouldn't trust her.

I think renegade Jack would love her. Not so sure about paragon Jack.
Or maybe the other side around if renegade Jack would become really jealous.

I don't think Jack has a paragon side or a renegade side. You can get her to love you but you can't change her personality.

There are two ways how you treat her during her romance, and I think at the end her dialogue/personalty changes on the way you treated her.
At least there is a very cathartic crying of her at the end.

I'm hoping for more Morinth in ME3, she's an interesting character but there wasn't enough conversation with her in ME2. Even though she seemed to enjoy what she was she also seemed lonely. Not sure if she really is lonely or if she was just manipulating Shepard but I'd like to see more of her in ME3 to see if I can find out. Would also have liked to see more of her in the romance scene, Shep had to die so she at least expected to see some boobs first.

ive never once picked morinth over samara. it just doesnt make sense. why pick an unstable serial sex killer over judge dread with big boobs?

I only did it once, because I have two "extreme" Shepards, one extreme Paragon and one extreme Renegade. My extreme Renegade was the only one who saved Morinth. I play that Shepard as if she's a barely controlled psycopath. In that playthrough, I made sure that anyone who can die in the game does die, and that only Morinth and Kasumi survived the Suicide Mission.

@Clonedzero I think picking Morinth makes sense for a renegade Shep because Shep sometimes kills innocents (even paragon Shep). Once Samara is no longer bound to Shepard and goes back to her own code she might decide to go after Shepard for killing innocents. If Shep gets the choice out of Samara and Morinth it means she was able to resist Morinth therefore Morinth is actually safer to have around than Samara. That's my renegade Shep's reason for picking Morinth anyway, my reason was because I'd picked Samara once and wanted to see what Morinth was like. I think everyone should try her at least once, she's pretty interesting. She doesn't come across as unstable, I found her to be quite a likeable character.

I like her a lot. She's fun to interact with. I recommend taking her to Tuchanka with Mordin or Grunt. She's breaks her Samara facade there to offer some insight into her feelings on the krogan.

I doubt it considering Jusitcars and Arydt Yashi's are either extremely well respecting in ascari culture or feared in ascari culture.
So I doubt it them both will have the same roles, they will either have implications with the ascari or assisting you during the game.

I, wholeheartedly, second this. I want her fleshed out with clear motivations and not the Saturday Morning Cartoon variety that can either be good or positive. She could serve as a good example of what Renegon really is. I doubt they'll do it, but if they were to actually work on it things may be enjoyable.

The choice between Morinth and Samara is one the few choices I don't understand existing in the first place.
Help Samara, a warrior monk/paladin who swore an oath to follow you and wears a nice leather outfit.
Or help her weird monster space sex vampire daughter Morinth (who you have known for only one hour or so). That likes chess, swordplay and art. Who has a deathfetish and is addicted to killing. Oh, and she also just tried to mindcontrol and mindrape you.
Well the choice is clear!

I agree, the choice itself seems out of place. Choosing Morinth seems cartoonishly evil, and while Renegade Shep might be an ****, he's still a "good guy".
Having said that, I chose Morinth on both my Renegade Sheps. Explain it away by assuming Shep was still being manipulated by Morinth during the standoff.

Yes, that's the reasoning I've kind of come to. Morinth was still controlling you!!! She MADE you kill Samara!!!
