I liked Morinth and I really hope she has some role in ME3. That character has a lot of potential yet to unfold.

Wow there are a few threads about this. It's pretty interesting to see the similar points people make. In the end, I really think that Morinth/Samara will have a big role in ME3. I'd thought both of them would be involved in missions as antagonists, and a theory from another forum member explained possibly why. We know that the Arrival DLC, whether you bought it or not, is the reason why Shepard is on trial on Earth at the start of ME3. We also know Cerberus will again, be bad guys and possibly indoctrinated.
** Arrival Spoilers **
As Shepard destroyed an entire colony of people, Samara would be bound by her code to track him down and kill him. Especially if she was given false information by Cerberus about his motives. I could see her as the "Bounty Hunter" type character that shows up at surprise points in missions every once in awhile to ambush Shepard and his crew. Same for Morinth, although for Morinth the reason would be a little darker. Shepard is one of the only people who knows for a fact she's alive. Whether or not she's purely evil, she would NOT want to be hounded by the remaining Justicar anymore(assuming she's not still pretending to be one) her track record in fleeing is pretty well established. So, the only safe precaution is to kill him off. The scenes will probably be the same for both characters, but the dialogue would be different. Hopefully... no matter what happens, both characters get fleshed out a bit more. I can appreciate Morinth for who she is, and my Renegade Shepard does have her on my crew, but that was more about the fact that I knew Samara would have to kill me later due to her code... once the mission was over.
