For those who read the walkthrough spoilers, it seemed like most (if not all) of the builds focused around one specialization.

I didn't want to read too much in fear I might spoil something....well something more.

Is it pretty implicit that going with one specialization and building around it is the efficent way to go?

edit: Actually I just gave in and read more in detail..spoilers aside, and got a better idea. :alien:

I'd say that the second specialisation is purely for the minor stat bonuses, as usually the spells are in such a short supply (atleast, the number of spells you can reasonably hope to achieve) that my maxing 2 specialization trees, you aren't left with enough variety.

Kinda depends on what's IN those 2 specialization tiers, doesn't it? Two specializations is definately always the way to go - if for nothing else than stat boosts.

I agree, even if you don't put any talents into a given spec, take it for the stat boosts. Assassin looks really good, as does Duelist. I am happy with my choices.

I think you can do 2 specializations without giving up to much in anything. I adjusted my rogue build slightly and found that if I get to level 22 I'll be able to max out Assassin and Duelist and only lose talents that seem to be obsolete compared to the spec tree talents.

Edit: If I remember correctly it was stated that you could get talent and skill points outside of leveling through various methods so I might even be able to get maxed out around 20.

@ JMOR:

what kinda rouge did you build so far?

if there is other methods to get skill- and talentpoints my build might even work out, since i didn't consider that the specializations bring 8 new talents with them.

--> the duelist / assassin all come in pretty handy, therefore it would nice to have those too.

Thanks all for reminding , I forgot about the ability to specialize without spending talent points.

JMOR- if the leaked prima guide is anything to go by it seems like lvl 20 is the max..

All the builds they made seem to have 21 talent points (minus the free one at level 0)l; ITT regardless of class . So not sure if thats indicative of how much extra is available , but it may help planning O_o

and yeah, X-2 from what I read it sounds like you have to really carefully plan it and just focus on a few areas/branches to max out .

edit: actually it seems I'm wrong JMOR, if Priestly's character is anything to go by.

Personally with my rogue I plan to take Duelist as my first specilization and buy all four talents in it.
Then I'll take Assassin as a second specilization simply for the +2 Dex and +2.5% Crit, I may take the first assassin talent (Mark of Death) if I have a spare talent point (should be useful for boss fights).

I'm curious what the deal is , see this site. This particular page doesn't spoil anything.

There's no hard coded XP limit, and the game will level you as long as you acrue XP. I believe it's been stated (though, sorry, a link eludes me) that most players will end the game anywhere from level 20 to 25.

Which makes finding where you get your specialisations anoying, leave it to late...

With that being said, could someone either send me a message or post if the Arcane Warriors location for training is known? I dont need the story details just the where "who". I''ve been looking for the info but keep stumbling onto spoilers I DONT want to read about.

Is any one else going to pick Spirit Healer for their mage spec? What second spec are you choosing? I was thinking Shapeshifter, for the armor and Constitution bonus. This combo reminds me of a D&D druid also. Blood Mage is out, as my character is a goody-goody. I only plan on using combat as a last resort, so Arcane Warrior doesn't appeal to me.
