I really like this pic for some reason, I can't put my finger on it, maybe it's Jacob's thoughtfull look.

Jacob was in and contributed to all the important meetings in ME2. He greeted most of the new arrivals. He could very well have been the XO.

I want at least one squadmate to have Cryo Ammo, just to save Shepard some points.  Giving it to Jacob or another underdog (Vega) could boost that character's popularity if ME3 is indeed difficult enough to encourage careful squad choices even on lower difficulty settings.

Cryo Ammo seems to make more sense on main characters given your squadmates general ineptitude at killing anything.

I would more so complain about the frequency of Inferno Ammo.  Too many people have it.  I mean thematically Jacob should have something like Shredder Ammo, but comparitively to Inferno Ammo, Shredder Ammo seemed worse, and as so far as the Mass Effect series goes, I wouldn't wish Shredder Ammo on anyone.

Cryo ammo is best for squishy squad mates like Kasumi, Mordin, Garrus, Miranda, Jack etc. Tanks like Jake and Grunt should use inferno. Inferno is the best ammo for shotguns and pistols IMO.

A defense-stripping power would give make others more inclined to bring him along during a mission. Jacob and Jack are rather shafted in that respect.

You are ignoring the after effect of Frost Ammo, mainly the immobilzation through freezing, as well as the ability to Shatter, which makes up for damage granted by Inferno ammo.  Many enemy types do not panic burn.  I cannot truthfully say it's better for characters like Miranda, moreso to say it's better for well, any character not using a Shotty.  Still, they are best used in concert anyway.

I'm not ignoring the frost effect but there are downsides to Cryo as well so it comes down to preference. Many enemy types don't freeze (protected targets) while Inferno can possibly still panic these enemies.  Cryo doesn't have a blast effect that hits multiple targets like inferno. One also has to wait until the enemy is fully frozen before any of it's advantages are possible. That enemy can still attack while he's in the process of freezing.

At any rate, there's footage of a fire effect (Incendiary Ammo?) inducing panic on a geth target in one of the ME3 videos. This goes to show that although we might understand how ammo powers and effects work in ME2, the rules are not necessarily the same in ME3.

I rely on squadmates for utility more than damage, so I would welcome Cryo Ammo on a squadmate. It would free up some points for my Vanguard and Infiltrator Shepards.

Hmmm....Actually, thats not a bad idea at all...As a Garrus fan, I had wanted Garrus as my XO in ME3, until someone pointed out paper work isn't really Garrus's thing....that is very true...and I have been trying to think of good XO ever since...I don't trust Miri...Jacob would be great idea, I could so go with that...I would trust him completely....Jacobs a little too cynical for my taste, but I certainly trust him.

While he may not see the 'glass as half full' He has his good points.He is honest.He has integrity.He stands for something so he won't fall for anything.And I truly felt like, by the time our team was ready to go through the Omega 4-Relay, that we truly did become friends.

What I bolded is what I appreciate about Jacob...as I mentioned, I trust him and am happy to have him at my Sheps back, he has been nothing but honest with Shep and Shep appreciates that immensely...Miranda certainly was in no hurry to be upfront with Shep, but Jacob was straight out there with it and Shep noticed, Jacob gets a lot of cudo's and respect for that....But for spilling drinks on the Citadel?....sorry, the cynacism does put me off personally...Jacob would have my full vote and love if he would just relax and have a bit more faith in the universe.

as for Miri...my Shep doesn't romance her, so doesn't factor in at all.

I support this! I actually liked Jacob, he was my bro and he was friendly. Also loved the fact how he would always introduce himself and be friendly with all the new team-mates, making them feel welcome.

Too bad whoever was the ****** who wrote the dialogue between Jacob and Femshep made it that she went harlot whenever she spoke with him D:< Give my Femshep a bro! (Besides Garrus who she lured into her cabin)
