I'm running out of things to do with my lovable Robin who romances Jacob *sniffle* soon those two will have to wait for ME3. Just posting them here because I have had soo much fun with them, and I love Robin to bits =) my first paragade.

Hmmm.... prefer what Samara says about him to what Liara says    =)    oh well.

Yep. That's what I remember Liara saying. Nothing negative there.

It just feels weak compared to what the other LIs got (excluding the VS)

Hmmm... doesn't Liara say quite a lot about Miranda? Mentions how much DudeShep has changed her. I agree to a point that she didn't really say much about Jacob. Does it come back to there being nothing to "fix" about him? But yes, as a Kaidan-girl I can say that he doesn't really get much either. What do you think would have been more suitable =)

He has a wonderful laugh when FemShep gives him a kiss after they had the "FemShep-gets-to-vent"-scene. Would like the opportunity to get him to do so more often. Here's hoping for ME3 =) he is serious, but he doesn't have to that all the time.

I like when Liara mentions that you've romanced JAcob after her.

"you're more interested in seeing Jacob with his shirt off!"

she sounds like she's been looking at that too. XD

Yeah, Jacob is pretty much Jacob.
He's stable.

And he looks great with his shirt off XP

So I don't really see anything to be disappointed about.

Oh and yes, the kiss after the venting scene was GREAT.

@SilentK I know how you feel. Except... HOLY CRAP! I realized that I haven't played Overlord with Gwen Shepard!!! Not sure if I should bring Jacob since it's more focused on mechs... Heh, who cares, he gunned down the mechs in his loyalty mission. I'll just bring him and Legion XD

Anyone else kind of disappointed about Liara's reaction to the Jacob romance?

Maybe she wants a threesome.

Jacob is fine against mechs; especially if he has inferno ammo.

I know he'll prob be straight, but I can't help but wonder ~what if~ there was a s/s option for him in ME3. Though tbh, he'd probably be a much better pick for my femshep.

Hsssss...

Kidding.  I'll tank-spec Jacob on my next playthrough.  He'll be my Engineer's ammo support.  I imagine the added Drone distraction will help keep Jacob afloat even when the s hits the f.  CC-Tron, what shotgun do you equip on Jacob?  I tend to use the GPS, but with the tank-spec I wonder if the Eviscerator wouldn't be a better option.

I use the GPS mostly but occasionally the eviscerator. The GPS is the better over all gun. It has good power and range.

The advantage the eviscerator might have with inferno is the blast effect. You see if any of those individual buck shot fragments hits an enemy with health it causes a 3 meter blast radius. It's spreads out quite a bit at long range. So even if the eviscerator can't do much damage at long range it can still panic for crowd control.  Again that's only with inferno.  Actually that's how I used JT before the GPS came out. I just used the pistol for range if needed.

The Phalanx pistol (with inferno) hits hard too and with the critical hit upgrade, JT can one shot some enemies (much less often on insanity though).

The phalanx is INSANE. Gwen and her beau Jacob (pictured in my avatar) went around one-shot-ing everything in sight XD

I also brought Jacob and legion to overlord =) *sigh* still grumbling a bit that neither of them, especially Jacob had any dialouge. Always play that one a bit towards the end but before the SM, gives my FemShep and Jacob the opportunity to take a long last look at cerberus so that they happily blow up the base afterwards.

One thing I've come to realize about Jacob, as much as I like him, is that the dude really lacks any personality quirks. Outside of "Teh Prize" Jacob is pretty straightlaced throughout the entire game. It sort of makes him into the "Cyclops" of the team; an underated Character who doesn't stand out compared to his companions. And like Cyclops, Jacob gets bashed enough for being too Straightlaced, so more than anything else they really need to let Jacob "loosen up" more in ME3 just like Garrus did in the second game.

OP is going to be gone for a good while. I know this thread isn't very active to begin with, but send me anything you want in the OP and I will try to get it in the OP whenever I can.

Keep the Jacob love going strong, folks!

I'm hoping that they will have some really really good scenes for him     :wizard:   but yes I realise that he is a little less forward in that sense. Jack jumps through the screen pretty much  =)

But like the Shadow Broker Dossier on Jacob says

" Ex-Alliance soldier. Biotic training. Despite solid service history, clearly placed on Shepard's team primarily for stabilizing elements of personality".

Jacob would probably be pretty calm and collected when working I guess. But it would be great to see him at some point when he felt that he could perhaps loosen up a bit. Don't know when that would be, I would be very happy to see something like that.

And I want a good continuation of the romance....without any prize-lines   <_<
Hopefully they will take good care of him for ME3, perhaps then he would get a bit more recognition.

That description from the Shadow Broker could be used to describe Kaiden or even Ashley (minus ex-Alliance or biotic training in Ashley's case).

I just posted this point in the Miranda thread since it pertains to Jacob.

Can someone explain how the Shadow Broker could possibly believe that the death of Jacob, essentially just a security guard, managed to earn him this line:

"Thank for bringing me Shepard and Mr. Taylor. Their deaths will cripple Cerberus."

I can't imagine Jacob's death crippling Cerberus. Besides target practice, what exactly did Jacob do for Cerberus?

Jacob saved the the Council from being killed by Batarian terrorists. He's the only squad member that has an idea of what Shepard has been through. Like Shepard he saved the Council and it was swept under the rug.

The same could be said for Miranda as well. Beyond directing the Lazarus Project (which achieved it's goal), she's not integral to the survival of Cerberus. The Lazarus cell was defunct anyway after Shep was revived. She's just another cerberus agent who got close to the Illusive man.

Surely TIM wouldn't send an agent whose loss would cripple Cerberus on a suicide mission. The Shadow Brokers comment was wrong in both their cases.
