I agree it's lame Jacob gets so little credit, esp from fans.

A good point, even the game doesn't give him enough credit for what he's accomplished. Security detail seems like small fish for him, although Lazarus is a pretty important project. Part of that I think might be that he doesn't want the limelight? He seems like the type that is sick of galactic politics doesn't want the attention. He just wants to cut through the BS and get the job done, part of why he was willing to work with Cerberus in the 1st place. I hope in ME3 he gets a more important role where he can sort of step into his own again. Also in armor. What
the hell Cerberus? :P

Great pic Amy. Hope you don't mind, I stealz it to make a support banner and avatar. Jacob sneer FTW.

Hmm... yeah. I have also wondered about the security detail. In the first conversation you have with him after finishing the mechs doesn't he say something about usually not drawing his gun unless it's target practice. Couldn't Cerberus find a better way of using his abilities. It didn't really sound like he enjoyed that specific assignment. Maybe he was just waiting for Shepard to wake up, that's when the job would really start getting interesting.

His position in the Lazarus cell of Cerberus is high. Remember he's not just a security guard. He's head of Security for that cell which is a command position. Of course he's not going to see as much action on a science station as he would as a Corsair (which explains his line about target practice).

And he did a great job with the security too. Usualy Cerberus projects fail violently way before they are complete but this time everyone was kept alive long enough for Shepard to rise again.

I'm hoping we will see Jacob on team Shepard again though I also suspect he will be sent to space Guantanamo for working with Cerberus. In wich case I guess we can get him out somehow.

So what do you guys think about a Shepard,Jacob wedding.Anderson giving Shep away and the guy from Mass Galaxy Derek Izunami stands in for Jacob(Jacobs father either die or in jail) it would be a small simple wedding.

Space Guantanamo sounds awesome, but I don't think the Alliance will be worried about detaining Cerberus operatives when the Reapers arrive (at least until they start working for them).

It would seem forced and rushed. Shepard doesn't seem to be the marriage type and neither does Jacob. Given their high risk occupations why would they marry? Nah.

As much as I love my LIs, I am not big into the whole marriage/babies thing in Mass Effect. I think that is all better left to the fans to decide for themselves after the game. The game just isnt the right setting for it and it would just be really awkward and out of place during a war that Shep and his/her team is heading.

I'd rather see Jacob and Shepard fighting side by side, working together, and enjoying romance behind the scenes.

It's a great pic =) there's some really good Jacob-art out there.

And here they are again. The Dream Team. Three guesses who's playing the SM tonight =) had to do a re-load. Lost Garrus in the swarm first. Good thing that there's the guide on the forum. This time it will work out.

I made a playthrough where only Morinth & Kasumi survive. PURE RENEGADE. Posted Image

Then a Cerberus beeyatch who romances Jacob and only him and Miranda survive.

Come to think of it Jacob seems like the best parent material among the LIs thus far. But I get the feeling that Shepard and Jacob intend to die fighting to keep the family they already have safe. Well except Jacobs father of course.

Well, if he ends up having problems because of his former employer my FemShep will bust him out    =)
It bugs me so much that we have heard so little about Jacob. Patience is a virtue..... or so they say

You have to tell us how the 2:nd Shep plays out next year. Augh it's such a long way to march... Jacob is alive for all my FemSheps. I'm less lucky with Garrus so far.

I have a few playthroughs where Jacob dies... but across all my saves I killed every character but those with unshakable plot armor at least 3 times (I have a lot of saves). I'm hoping he will be treated the same way Hackett implied towards Shepard - that he did what he had to.

I'm worried about his presence in ME3 though. I have my doubts that he will make a squadmate list, but it would at least be lovely if he got a role on the Normandy - head of security, liaison, something - where he's accessible on a regular basis.

Yeah... I'm also worried about how much we will be able to see of Jacob in-game. Squadmate doesn't sound possible and I would be so so sad if it was

Jacob: " Nice little mission we did there FemShep, I'll just go back to my corner of the universe. Send me a mail before the big boss and I'll come over for sexey times".

I want to be able to bring him out to missions and hear his thoughts on things. I love Kaidan so really happy for him being on the squad. They have said that all the LI:s will be treated equally, right? Gahh... perhaps I'm just being paranoid.

well, its not paranoia if they are really out to get you?

there was a confirmation that there will be 10 squadmates. Liara, Vega, Tali, Garus, VS - make 5. even not counting DLC squad-mates from ME2 (or from ME3 - I don't now if they added that to count) and assuming that there's no more new characters and old ones only - that's 5 spots left for 8 squadmates. but I'm fairly sure that there will be at least one more new squadmate and that they did in fact count DLC squadmate when talking about bonus powers.. so that's 3 spots for 8 squadmates.. it just doesn't look very good.

now I would prefer Jacob as a squadmate, I would love to hear the mission banter, etc, but at this point, I'll be happy with a permanent status on the Normandy. that at least, gives his romance/friendship the same exposure as people you could actually take on missions with you. better something then nothing :/

Err... Okay... :? I don't have any charts, facts and figures on hand - but i'm pretty sure that Military Personnel ranks as one of if not the highest percentage and demographic for being Married and with Children. So I think what you say here about Shepard and Jacob is well... Bollocks -- No pun intended :P

My Shepard is a Colonist/War hero who lost his friends and family. And he absolutely wants to have a family and reconstitue his bloodline...I thought of Gunnery Chief Ashley Williams as Wife Material in Mass Effect 1.

And I'm leaning toward wanting to wife Miranda Lawson now...

When I see this picture of FemShep and Jacob:

They look as though they are on their Honeymoon...

^That's post-win smiles to ya... I can only imagine them marrying and baby-making after the war though, so I'd prefer if they do not include any marriage in ME3...

Besides, since Tali-fans don't get their wedding, it's highly unlikely anyone else would.

Looking forward to how they're writing the romantic closure! In Lukas Kristjanson we trust!

No that won't work. Permanent status on the Normandy would have to be explained. Why would an able bodied biotic soldier with extensive battle experience stay on the Normandy in an non-active role?  Either they make him a squadmate or don't put him on the Normandy.

Hmmm.... as long as we get a really good reason for him being where he is. And we get to talk and do missions with him both as friend and LI I guess it's ok even if he isn't on the Normandy. Augh... but I will miss him a lot. *sigh*. But I agree CC-Tron. Being on the Normandy but not being a squadmember sounds a little strange.

Maybe he has a perma-base where we could contact him still? Like DA2!

Oh wait, again, there must be a reason he isn't fighting by your side ><"

ARGH, I hope he at least gets to be a temp. squaddie.
