Oh, man. I sure hope Kasumi gets the priiize in ME3 or else it's watching Jacob workout while cloaked and haiku.

Somehow I picture my Shepard secretly watching Jacob work out, too. ;) There's always the Shadow Broker cam. So wrong and yet so right!

rabbitzoro has this really good pic of Jacob and Ash on her tmblr

http://www.tumblr.co...u4tqUGjC1qdyxkq

rabbitzoro's tmblr

Well, there are more people out there who thinks that Jacob and Ash could be friends I guess. Looks great to me   =)

Edit: lol, just rememberd that Trivia posted stuff from her tmblr on this page also. We'll just have a theme-page I guess. She draws Jacob really well.

It would be fun if they had some dialouge with eachother, some nice friendly stuff. They were both on Eden Prime. But it doesn't sound like he knows her yet, since he doesn't mention her anytime, as far as I know at least. So far I haven't done a single FemShep who saved Ash, does Jacob mention Ash if you saved her?

Ah, Jacob. I like him a lot. He is a bit cold, but he's strictly a professional.

Yeah but everyone says he's boring. He simply maintinas discipline he learned as a soldier from when he was w/ the Alliance. He just acts professionally  the vast majority of the time while on the Normandy. He's just doesn't really fit in with the rest of the ragtag group of misfits that make up his squad. Or perhaps he does fit in because he is a misfit himself within the group. I like ragtag squads.

Does everyone really? Everyone? Jacob doesn't have the smallest fan thread on the forums. That word 'everyone' is often misused.  I agree with the rest of what you said though.

He doesn't. I used to think they didn't meet on Eden Prime, but when you talk to him and know he likes to move on from the passed, they could have had something before it went to hell with Saren and the geth and they just grew apart as she went on the Normandy. Or they had a fight when he left the Alliance and they didn't talk. but I love this picture!Posted Image

All this Jacob hate I see is ridiculous.

So, officially count me in on the Jacob support. He's easily the most level headed of all your ME2 squadmates and easily one of the best as far as combat prowess goes.

Screw the haters.

I've never had a problem with Jacob's character in any of my playthroughs. Just hadn't romanced him mainly due to lack of time to create alts in ME. He was on my to-do list, but once I realized he was written by the same guy who wrote Aveline, my interest shot up way up. Here's a fantastic post by Lukas Kristjanson in which he owns up to writing "the priiize" line. I thought he had a great attitude and it really fueled my interest in Jacob's character.

I recently finished my Jacob romance and here are my thoughts (and screenshots):

I laughed out loud in the beginning when Jacob said that one nighting the commander was a good way to get airlocked. That line was funny and I loved how he just laid everything on the table -- no guessing with where Shepard stood with him.  When he made it clear that he was not big on being forced to verbalize the three little words, I was surprised to see an dialogue option to fish around for it even though he just said not to do it. So like a big irresistable red button, I had to press it and loved his "WHAT DID I JUST TELL YOU, HUH?" reaction. I can see how he'd be abrasive for some players, but I liked his no-nonsense approach. I dug how there were several ways for him to call off the relationship when he could see it wasn't going down the right path. Shepard wasn't the one with all the power here, y'know?

The prize line did not bother me. Mainly because it's such a huge meme that you know it's coming one way or another. When I finally got to that point in the game, I felt the hype over that meme was possibly overblown. Funny, but overblown. =p This was still the same guy that quipped about being airlocked right at the start so it sort of fit his character anyway. I liked how he fumbled over his words at times. I sort of regret not knowing that turning him down the first time right before the suicide mission would get special dialogue, but that's OK. I wasn't looking to get that specific declaration out of him and he had said that he'd show how he felt with his actions and GOOD LORD did he do that. I loved the way he'd take the hands to stand closer to Shepard and his overall "you know you fine" attitude.

Anyway, had a great time with his romance. It was a nice surprise to not get the "Already? Not big on forcing these talks" line because I thought that was the default line for everyone. He was nicer when the romance was on. Something akin to "We got a good thing going. Easy now, OK?" It was nice to see him disagree with Shepard in keeping the base. Even though he worked for Cerebus, he definitely had lines he was not crossing. I'm curious to see if keeping the base (or not) will impact the relationship at all in ME3. I doubt it, but it'd be interesting to see.

@Gilsa Nice to see you here! Remember me? XD

You know I realise that in some ways Jacob reminds me of my boyfriend. When I am around him I get really crazy and suggestive but he always tells me it's better not to rush because it's better to wait for the perfect moment.  It's all weird for me now but I love it. Funny thing is I romanced Jacob long before getting together with my bf. Oh and he's incredibly fit too :o

Ah... I should really start on that MookyChick.co.uk article on Jacob...:pinched: Stupid exams being the party pooper.

It was a poor choice of words. I should've said "over 9000" instead of "everyone."

I love that Jacob is so firm and clear on where he stands. And he tells you upfront about it. It took me a little while to figure him out but after I did he is wonderful. And his VO is so good, his voice changes so much when he's in the romance-arc, softer some how. It's pretty cool that he can end the relationship also, it isn't played only by FemSheps rules. I fumbled sometime and took a little too "I want to be your therapist"-respone and he let me know   =)      "It's all you". That line is gold! Wish I could give you a better response after such a nice post but my head is pretty much full of cotton after a long day in the lab    =)

Just playing my first FemShep who moves on to Jacob after Kaidan did Horizon last weekend. Looking forward to seeing the romance-arc again    =)

Next up is Jacob's loyalty q. Hmmm.... I always make sure that his father will go to jail and that seems to be fine to him. Is he upset if his father is shot? Has anyone here tried that? Wonder if there will be any difference in ME3 from the different ways his q is handled. I guess not. But it would be fun if there was little that played out differently.

I've always taken the options where he has his father shoot himself or lets the survivors tear him apart. Jacob is fine with both of them. Honestly, when he hands his father the gun to shoot himself, he seems VERY content about that choice, and it is probably my favorite one. He pretty much just tells his father to cleanup the mess hes made, then walks away. I think seeing that the first time I played ME2 kind of sealed the deal on Jacob for me.

it took me playing my renegade shepard before I learned to fully appreciate Jacob. he pushes back if you push him. I love it.

but I adore his loyalty mission because HE makes that choice, he doesn't ask for Shepard to decide for him. even if you select the paragon option of putting Ronald Tailor in jail, it felt to me more like Shepard making a suggestion and Jacob agreeing that it was fair.

@ AmyBA =) that's sounds really interesting. Had no idea that his father could shot himself.Oki, I'll give that a try on the next FemShep. Wonder if he seems happier with that choice as compared to his father going to jail, hmmm. Always fun to see something new.
