The... fuss about The Witcher 2 is that Geralt (the player character) and Triss (not sure if that's how her name is spelled), have an explicit sex scene. It's also ridiculously sexist. Fox News should have done a freaking report on THAT.

Some people say that it beats Mass Effect's romance scenes, and its true. The Witcher's sex scene DOES beat Mass Effect's romance scenes... when it comes to explicit sex.

I haven't played the game, but I saw the scene and there is absolutely nothing romantic about the scene. It's not a romance scene. It's a -here's-how-we-get-underage-boys-who-shouldn't-be-playing-this-game-excited-whee-boobies-for-teh-boys- scene.

Others who have played The Witcher 2 informed me that the scene in particular does nothing to advance the two character's relationship- it can even be skipped- that it is never referenced or even marginally important in the grand scheme of the game.

In the same time, you don't see many male players moaning and whinning about nude characters, or sex. I always see female players on the bsn whinning about that. TW2 is so eviiiiil. So, you need to know what you want.

If I was Bioware myself, I would be afaid to create a hot cutscene, not to offense you.

tht's becasue the nudity is on female side only.  if you notice, most people adore ME1 cutscenes and they are very very nude?  why like them and not witcher?  becasue theyare tasteful and classy unlike witcher's pornlike animations/sound effects and focus on a female bits while you barely see Geralt's back.

Mhh, thank you, I understand better now.  So if all the conditions are there (romanticism, progression of the relationship, male and female showed ) you would not be against a sex scene with nude characters. To be clear.

Aww...   well... of course. Augh.... I just got my hopes up for a little moment there but this sounds much more reasonable. Oh well... just ordered swtor and hubby is getting Skyrim so I guess I'll keep until march. But I really really hope we will get something Jacob-related before the game comes out.... pretty pretty please

The devs at bioswear can suck a d*** for writing such a horrible character. Jacob COULD have been one the best characters in ME2 but since the neanderthals chose to focus on miranda's conterfeit ****...and NOT develop Jacob....well...we all see how it turned out.

Um, Jacob is possibly the best charater Bioware's made. He's extremly supportive of Shepard, while still maintaining his own morals that cannot be changed. His romance is also the only one that openly admits he's fallen in love with Shepard, and his friendship is the onyl one with a BRO HUG. *loos at other squadmates* top THAT son! *drops mic*

Make no mistake, Jacob is my favorite character. However, due to horrible writing and development by bioswear low-lifes, he has gotten a bad rep. Hmph, probably has something to do with him being a Lemurian.

While I'm a pretty vocal critic of his, I've had this underlying suspicion for a while. That maybe he's supposed to be underdeveloped/unfinished as a character in ME2, so when he see him in ME3 he suprises everyone and becomes this big, guddamm hero.

When you shove the merc out a window, he says "So when do we read him his rights?"

You are absolutely right....what was I thinking? Yep, I must be the only person to ever play ME2 that realizes the Lemurian's character was massively underdeveloped. He had so much potential, a more skilled writer could have made Jacob shine like the sun he really is. I admit, my previous posts may have been a little fire induced but, the bullets I fired at bioswear are legit.

Mass effect's flaw when it comes to character writing is that unlike DAO or DA2 their characters aren't "adopted" by specific writers. Personally, I don't see how anyone else in Mass Effect is that great either. They write the characters by area. Wtf.

I know Jacob isn't everyone's cup of tea but I like him for who he is so far. If he suddenly becomes a ZOMG DRAMAZ QQ then I would be as pissed as you are at Bioware.

What they really should expand on in the future is his history with the Corsairs and perhaps get him to do more deadpan snarking like in Galaxy and the two lines I gave earlier.

I understand what you guys are saying. There are so many narrow minded people who intentional kill Jacob for no reason....and it pisses me off. As we all know, Jacob is a great character....so answer me this.......why do a lot of people dislike him? He's not arrogant or egotistical and he's not a foul mouthed cretin. He IS however, honorable, reliable and trustworthy. So why all the hate for the Lemurian? Maybe some people thought that Jacob would outshine their precious Shepard....hmph....imagine that.

Because Jacob dared to vaguely insult Tali (ignoring the fact that Tali was actually the hostile party during the entire conversation.) Oh, and he totally wanted to destroy Legion (ignoring the fact that up until this point, they've never encountered a Geth that didn't try to kill him.) Oh and FemShep talked awkwardly to him (ignoring the fact that that is Jennifer Hale's fault if anything.)
