What exactly is wrong with what will be happening to Jacob? I haven't read the spoilers, but judging by the reactions, Bioware seems to be pandering to all of his detractors.

From what I've read in the Spoiler group, he appears in a very brief cameo which is taken over by Liara if he didn't survive the SM.

saw the jacob spoilers. kinda enraged. what a stupid ****ing writing decision. hope it's one of those things the devs realized was REALLY BREATHTAKINGLY STUPID and altered it in the final script.

Well it was always clear character development wise that Jacob did not get the same as other party members got and on top of that they did not exactly make him under general consensus really good in parties to compensate. So they screwed him over in ME2 and then he got screwed even more in ME3.

People we have the power to change this.....this.....I don't know what to call it. I do agree that it is character assassination. Let's ban together a let bioswear know that........THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!  If they were going to do such a horrible job on JT, why put him in the game to begin with? It pisses me off so badly because Jacob has so much damn potential. I'm not a huge Gears of War fan but......Epic did Cole Train proper. I'm not saying that our guy should be boisterous like that but.......bioswear cold have done MUCH better.

Yeah Epic did a better job developing a blatant stereotype although I suppose Bioware needs to populate games down the line with familiar names so characters knocking up other people should not surprise that and a few experiments will probably fill out the human contribution.

Actually this begs the question who lives besides Liara, everyone can see her plot armor is unbreakable.

Jacob would have been fine as he was if they didn't decide to switch writers randomly so he'd go from friendly to aloof, back to friendly. his romance was very well done (even with the prize line) and the major issue with it was femshep's voice acting, not Jacob as a character. they should have elaborated on his time with Corsairs more as well as events of the "Galaxy" but its like at some point they just... gave up :/ sometime around shadow broker, I think

Liara can die.  but she won't for majority of people.

So is anyone absolutely unkillable and I am including important npcs. I mean I suppose the human males can just get people pregnant to have characters in the next game.

Definitely. And if no one on the writing team voiced the thought, "Hey, isn't this a little stereotypical? Especially seeing as we kinda already did something like that with his father?"   then there are some major problems going on there, beyond this.

And if it does happen in ME3, I really can't think of anything in his character that can justify it- it would have to be a retcon. They'll push garbage at us, and try to make us believe it's jewels.
