I think that Jacob role will be heavily involved with the interactions Shepard and Cerberus more so then the Alliance.

Jacob's Theme was one of the best on the soundtrack along with Suicide Mission, Humans Are Disappearing, and Jack's Theme.

I think Jacob's role will involve alliance more so then Cerberus./ I don't think I can see him outright rejoining, but he still has contacts there and is favorably seen by his former superiors, whereas Cerberus and TIM knew from the start that he wasn't fully loyal to them and was mostly working with them because they seemed to have been sharing similar goals for the time being - helping human colonies. I think Jacob would be a freelancers, possibly helping out with information and some of the more ...discreet missions?

As stated by someone in the comments, Jacob would have probably been a much better received character if he was female and looked like that...

Jacob is a victim of Bioware trying to listen to the fans they shouldn't listen too. Or maybe they should listen to them more often.   see, Jacob is very reserved. he doesn't complain, doesn't want to complain, he doesn't want you to fix him and finds it insulting if you try. he's independent, has plenty of his own opinions and he's not afraid to voice his concerns. and he doesn't just go - ok Shepard, whatever you say. He is the only character who has any part in deciding how his loyalty mission ends. HE chooses not to shot his father, every other character defers to Shepard's choice.

He's not a sycophant and majority of fans want npc's to adore them without question, or at least subside after initial doubt and go back into "yes, Shepard" mode.

I agree Leah. Jacob seems to be a response to the unjustified complaints about Kaidan. Despite this, people are still unsatisfied. I was hoping to have both Council Saviors together for the conclusion of the ME trilogy. Doesn't look like I'll get my wish though. Well, I know what Bioware's response to the Jacob hate will be. More squadmates that think Shepard is Counselor Troi.....Yay <_<

speaking of those drinks (and incidentally that actor's site that was posted - he has the looks for sure ) but yeah drinks. wouldn't it be nice to have an option to come up to Jacob and take him to Kasumi's Bar. its not Citadel, but its something - you know just to have a lovely bonding moment

Trying to find decent pictures of Jacob's romance was futile, Shepard has a creepy facial expression in nearly every single one.

Facial expressions are the least of her problems, her dialog and tone scream sexual harrassment. I felt like she was going to eat poor Jacob alive.

Gotta agree with this statement.

Also, Femshep having no game and sexually harrassing him didn't help.
