IF, and I stress IF, all the Jacob romance rumors turn out to be true(and again, I don't think they will), what do you think your Jacobmancing Shepard will do? Mine will probably go lesbian with Sam or Liara. Just quits men for a bit. Not sure, though. She might just dicide to say "**** it" and let the galaxy burn.
......yeah, all the butthurt is getting to me. Think I need to just chill out. Getting all depressed here. Bunch of people who think they can judge the game before it even released, before they even play it. Posting spoilers all over...*mumble, grumble*

Well first off, I'd shoot him. To save his character from the ignominy of the retcon.
Then, I'd probably swear off the whole romance thing and then just trudge through the rest of the game. Then write Bioware a strongly worded letter about unfortunate implications, latent racism and forgetting that some people didn't jump on the hater bandwagon, that some people did see Jacob as a character and his romance, great.

It's been covered here before.
He didn't "hate on people the second they got on the ship". He was friendly and welcome to Garrus and Tali as well (who in my opinion, while I like her, she was rather nasty at that point, but I understand where she's coming from.)

I can only wish. Think I'd have to see if Kelly's still available

No need to wish. There's plenty of evidence.

Eh yes I wrote that immediately after I recruited Thane in a playthrough and perhaps overreacted to it. No, you're right he doesn't hate on everyone but seems to generally come off (in my opinion) as rather judgemental towards others without knowing anything about them. Also in regards to Tali it seems a bit tactless for him to tell the Quarian to introduce herself to the A.I and I don't blame her for glaring at him for it. But yes I do admit I generalized him a bit there and probably shouldn't have.

Let us mourn our dearly departed, Jacob Taylor(ME2 version). Everything else about ME3 I've liked, but this really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
If you'll excuse me, I'll be off killing Jacob in my romance playthrough, so that he dies as I knew him.

Well guys....I'm sorry. I was wrong. Just rushed through to the parts with Jacob in a romanced playthrough. It's EXACTLY as bad as we feared. No emotional payoff, just an empty shell of a romance that's hardly worth acknowledging. I'll be romancing Jacob again, but he'll never make it out of the collector base in those cases.

Or you could just not romance him and let him live.
But yeah, this is one giant middle finger, no way around it. Bioware saw that a character was unpopular and decided to go the "Character Assassination" with any of his redeeming qualities. I'm sorry, but that's just total hack work right there.

John:"Hey, nice moves."
Jane:"Finally...someone who can keep up with me."
Jacob:"I still don't get it."
Ashley:"I've been wondering the same thing since the first time we went to Flux."
Miranda:"How can Shepard possess such skill on the battlefield and be so robotic on the dance floor."
Legion:

Tali:
Miranda:"Sorry Legion, I didn't mean to offend. A poor choice of words on my part."
Kaidan:"I tried talking Shepard into taking a few dance lessons, even offered to go with her..."
Ashley:"You mean him, don't you Major?"
Jacob:"You've lost me Williams. She's dancing with that rhythm-less guy over there."
Miranda:"Jacob, I think the bartender may need to cut you off. He's dancing with that rhythmically challenged red head."
John:"Can I buy you a drink Jane. The turian bartender makes this awesome green drink at Darkstar."
Jane:"That's my favorite John. Be careful though, that stuff can really put you on your ass."
Kaidan:"There is only one way to solve this. Where is Clan Urdnot when you need them?"
Grunt:"Shappert."
Jane and John in unison: "Grunt, you should go."
Ashley:"That's not Wrex."
Miranda:"Wrong krogan, Grunt"
Grunt:
Wrex:"What are you mammals babbling about?"
Jacob:"We need to talk to Shepard. Do you mind?"
Wrex:"You buying the Ryncol?"
Jacob:"Don't I always?"
Wrex:"Shepard."
John and Jane: "Wrex."
Jane:"Wait...how do you know Wrex?"
John:"I was going to ask you the same thing."
Joker:"What the ****!? Two Shepards?
Jane and John:"Your name is Shepard too?"
Joker: "Wait? Kaidan, Ash you both can't be here. I mean after what happened on Virmire..."
EDI:"Come back to bed Jeff."
Joker:"I really need to stop drinking. I have the most implausible dreams."
EDI:"Implausible dreams Jeff?"
Joker:"Yeah last time I had this dream you turned into this really smoking hot chick and called me back to bed..."

Joker:"Nevermind...."

I'm not really sure if I'll play through the game twice or not. Knowing about the endings really kills my buzz.

Yeah. Stayed up all night to check. And I deleted the imported Shepard once it was confirmed. As far as I'm concerned, Jacob is no longer a romance. I'm even having trouble liking him on my other Sheps. His character has been destroyed by this, IMO. Not just harmed, or suffering a slight bit of OOCness for plot reasons. ****ING DESTROYED.
And I've yet to think of any explanations as to why the writers decided to do this. Why they thought it was a good idea. Seriously, I got nothing.

Here I was, whining about not having enough Miri time but now I see that you guys have it worse. I guess the prize was too much for Jacob to resist. I don't want to sound wrong or anything but they turned Jacob into one of those nasty stereotypes.CastonFolarus wrote...

So is there anyone left that likes jacob. Seriously tho im wondering since even people who supported him got screwed over even thane got better romance ending LOL
It depends on how you look at it. From a non-romance standpoint Jacob probably got treated the best from ME2. All the other ME2 NPCs can die in ME3. From a romance standpoint, I really can't comment until I play it myself. I still get the feeling some are making it seem worse than it actually is.
Anyway my like of the character wasn't based on the romance. So to answer your question, yeah I still like JT.
