Good, a new thread, just when we were talking about it, now I don't have to create the OP
I'll PM you some stuff from the old OP
Now ontopic, it really sucks that JT won't be a full time squadmate but seeing as popularity here seems to decide your role in ME3 I kinda saw it coming. Now all we can hope is that Jacob will get a really badass role in ME3 and not just a stupid cameo.
Remember when the worst thing that could happen was a stupid cameo... *sigh*
@ ADLegend21 I felt pretty good about Jacob as a friend. But that has in a way become tainted now by how wrong it feels for a romanced FemShep. First time I saw Jacob it was with my Kaidan-FemShep and then it was ok, but now, knowing how it really is. I can't see myself playing that mission again, simply because how sad I am about the whole thing. I am all for Jacob getting something in his life that feels important and fighting for it. But, Jacob, the same Jacob from ME2. The only one in the crew to ask FemShep how she was doing because he cared for her, even loved her. That he can't wait any longer than 6 months. It isn't the same man.
@ darc I'm not surprised, we have had signs earlier, like the ME2-outfit-dlc. Grunt got new gear but Jacob didn't. Still it hurts. Out of all the ME2-LI:s Jacob and Thane have got their very own lvl of suck.

Then when the game finally came out and I checked this thread.

Good God, went back to the beginning of our Jacob-thread and it's just such a sweet place, brimming with hope...

Ahhhh, good times, back then all we had to worry about was the occasional troll coming in and calling Jacob boring/bad character.

But this...oh God, he didn't deserve this anymore than Thane *had* to die.
They really, really did us wrong.

Thought I would throw at least a bit positivity in here. Saw ME2 statistics from the Final Hours app, Jacob has the highest survival rate in the Suicide Mission out of all squadmates
Wow, that's actually rather cool.

Nah, it's just Jacob. Thane went out like a total badass and also got outfit DLC.

I was surprised really, I though Miranda would be #1 since she has a plot armor for the majority of Suicide Mission. But she still came second. Here's the full chart:TriviaAeducan wrote...

To continue tiny bits of positivity, did you know that i you were with Kaidan in ME1, then Jacob in ME2, Kaidan will say in ME3 after Jacob's mission "So, that was Jacob Taylor on Gellix? Well, at least I wasn't thrown over for some volus accountant. Knowing you have some taste makes it sting less". See? Even despite cheating, Kaidan can still see through Bioware's character assassination that Jacob's a hot and good guy!SilentK wrote...

Vi @Asenza
@JessicaMerizan Did Jacob take stupid pills on the Citadel? Why tell a romanced Shepard that Brynn wants to name their child after her?
Citadel Plumbing VI @StarchildEntity
@Asenza @JessicaMerizan I checked my database and he wasn't listed for indoctrination. That was nasty, even by our standards.
Vi @Asenza
Even the god-child determined to save all life in the galaxy by destroying all life in the galaxy thinks that Jacob was mistreated!

But if you put him as team leader twice, then it's practically guaranteed he will survive (unless you take him to the final battle and he ain't loyal). So I'm not that surprised. I mean, the game basically screams at you to not put him in the vents and pick a tech expert instead.LuckyIronAxe wrote...
I'm rather suprised that Jacob has such a high survival score, all my friends throw him into the vent just to troll me.

People on BSN enjoy throwing him into the vent to troll but Im pretty sure most people just ignore him, not giving him any particular role. Since hes a good fighter, he just doesnt die easily while holding the line compared to jack or tali.

BSN is not representative of the entire fanbase. BSN polls show over 30% of FemSheps, while full statistics, including non-BSNers show that it's actually just 20% FemSheps.outmane wrote...

And I don't think most poeple don't give him any role, the game suggests to pick him as team leader IMO

right, the guy in ME3 is Jaycob Tailer. Cerberus cloned him when theyf oudn out he and Shepard were together and to keep shepard down she had Jacob killed and replaced with Jaycob to break her heart during the war so she would be too upset to properly function. Cerberus is evilllllllllSilentK wrote...
