Hey guys, I don't think I have the time to put the Jacob book together. Real Life keeps getting in the way Is there anyone here able to use basic Photoshop? I could send you the necessary files.

It's not difficult to put the pages together, it just takes some knowledge on how layering and text tools work in Photoshop. If anyone is up for it I can teach them how to do it

(I can't put together the book myself, I've got my hands busy with the Thane book and RL)

Man if it wasn't for Kasumi, Jacob would of been full time on my Squad in 2. He is a great character, and I dont understand all the hate he gets.

Still I dont like the way Jacobmancers was handeld in 3, I mean come on. Him having a Baby and meetting someone is great for anyone not Romacing him, but the Jacobmancers should of gotten better. That was just Lazy Writing by Bioware.

Damn, this thread's is dying. And the fan group got deleted too. Not that either of them were all that active to begin with, but DAMN.

I would still be playing ME3 if BW hadn't done this to Jacob. As it is, the game is sitting on my bookshelf, collecting dust. Everything else, I can deal with, no prob. But this? Nope. We who had reason to like Jacob have been gut-punched too hard, it seems.

Bioware, you done f***ed up here. Pretty much everything else about ME3 is debatable. There's two sides to it. But here, there's people who think Jacob was treated unfairly(I would guess 90% of fans), the idc crowd(pretty much everybody else) and trolls. Was it nice reaching all three posters who support your treatment of Jacob in ME3? Was that your plan?

An explanation would be nice!

I'm just going to poke my head in here for a sec, to post my headcanon for Jacob, because if Bioware doesn't care, I still do. a little

I had 2 Shepards for him. one, Jade, moved on from Kaidan. second, Julia, was a fresh romance. bellow was not the plan. not even close. but I had to work with what I was given.

for Jade, in my headcanon - he was there, on Horizon when she and Kaidan argued. it was part of why he was reluctant to get into romance with her. but against his better judgement - he did anyways (this also explains her cat in heat voice - she was on an angry rebound) so he finds a picture of Kaidan.. still on her table. even if its flipped down, its still there. he asks about it, she evades. fast forward to Cerberus scientists mission. there she is... with Kaidan along.. and he can see the looks Kaidan gives her.. but what's more important, he can see the looks she gives to Kaidan. Jacob knows though, that Jade is stubborn. so he decides to force the issue, since he genuinely cares for her and wants her to be happy. he asks Bryn, his friend to help him lie. and pretends that they are together. never has a change to tell Shepard he lied... comes close to speaking up in London.. but then decides that Shepard is better of with clear head, and he'll just tell her afterwards

voila. cheating? didn't happen. Jacob is now a tragic hero, giving up his own happiness for that of the woman he loves. AND. it fully fits into canon.

as for Julia (who sadly is never going to be imported, because ME3 has very little variation across different playthroughs >_> and she was supposed to be actually in love, mutually) for her and Jacob, it was friends letting off steam. she never got "I love you from him" so I'm headcanoning it as just couple of adults who felt attracted, sending some time together, just enjoying each other. She and Jacob separated amicably before she left to turn herself into the alliance and she's genuinely happy that Jacob found someone to love. He didn't cheat. they split before she left, on friendly terms.

that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Cheers, Jacob thread. I hope you all stay well and either keep remembering Jacob as the character he should have been, or find a way to rewrite for yourseld the sloppy job bioware did.

I think anyone who would, hmh, take charge of Jacob fandom is to talk with whoever, eh, runs Thane fandom on merging Jacob and Thane support thread into one.

Honestly if wasn't for the MP I wouldn't touch the game. I've lost almost all interest in the SP and Jacob's handling in ME3 had a lot to do with that.

As a Thane and Jacob fan, I would be more than happy to lend my support! I read the bit above from @Jeweled and her bit on a single Jacob romance is most relevant. There are those (say for example PS3 owners) who only had ME2 romances to go by, and whomever they chose to romance WAS there "canon" LI. So for some, that might be Jacob. For that reason alone (if not the very valid reason of "choice" in an RPG....doh!), they should NOT have invalidated the Jacob romance for any Jacobmancer. Period!

Well, the more the merrier I say. Apparently Thanemancers have not been loud enough (hard to imagine) and neither have you guys. So, maybe if we do make a consolidated thread, we raise the chances of being heard.

I have a Jacobmancing playthrough and I was rather fond of her and Jacob together.

It irks me real bad that because of what happened to Jacob in ME3, I don't want to import her in ME3

P.S.

Dammit BW, let Kim Shepard hit that good stuff again in ME3! With 100% less Brynn Cole presence...
