Hey, just wanted to say that I liked Jacob in ME2. He was one of the few people working in Cerberus that I would actually trust. He was a honorable guy who wanted to do the right thing. It was good to have him beside Shepard, though I really never brought him on any of the missions.

Playing a MShep, I didn't really have a problem with him in ME3 and they were still good friends.

EXACTLY and he made working w/ cerberus more sane and showed it had some good ppl....but i did bring him on missions alot   like his biotics, in fact only mordin,grunt and miranda were brought more on missions for me in me 2

Sure it's... a new, interesting development, having an LI cheat... just like having a LI die without any way to avert the situation (T_T THANE!) but success hinges on whether or not it fits the character and if it is done well.

Not the case with Jacob or Thane. And faced with so many resource issues, line-budget and other restraints, this is something they just never should have done if it couldn't have been done well. Even at the most simple, microscopic level, neither of these situations should have flown: Jacob, the most honorable, honest character, cheating on Shepard? Thane fighting to save the Salarian Councillor, a character whom he had no connection to? It's painfully obvious that fem-shep players weren't any sort of priority- and taking out both Jacob and Thane, and not making any other options available is really just sad and worried about the state of future BioWare games if Bioware has sold their soul to EA and STILL has these terrible, crippling, resource-restraints...

Still the good fight is being carried out for THane, Jack, and Samara...but for Jacob...it might be best we hold a dignified funeral for his ME2 character since we're outnumbered by the more popular couples.

Not bitter just sad....even more sad I got my ps3 fixed and I'm redoing my ME file because I forgot to save my game files....gonna be hard come me3 when I meet Jacob and not have the option to smack his poorly written stereotyped cheating....gonna need more bourbon after this.

Well, in the LIA Project: The Tribute- Jacob has a good showing in that. We haven't gotten the physical version to Bioware, yet.

Maybe a small project? I know a lot of people on other threads, people who haven't romanced Jacob, were disgusted by what was done to him...

A card, like the Thane For an Option poster? A box full of broken cut-out hearts, with thoughts from Jacob fans? A Jacob fanbook?

Screw the physical reactiong. I want to lay down a verbal beat down that shames him and his writer vicariously.  However, by doing that Ill make my shepard a stereotype too as the ABW. (Kudos for anyone who gets that...if not it means angry black woman) So that just leaves me with the original thoughts of "**** you, me3 jacob. **** you."

This girl can't draw either, but I could certainly help organize or come up with some other ideas... You could always use screenshots instead if a picture can't be obtained.....

I guess we could revive the old spice man parody between ME2 Jacob and ME3 Jacob. I cant cook cookies into heart shapes without eating them.

Guess I'll have to ask my good buddy to help me since he's upset over Jacob but got sidetracked by Cortez's ass. (or the pilot's seat as he likes to call it.)

I can draw, but only traditionally, and even then, I'm not exactly the ~most awesome amazing artist ever~ [my style is a bit stylized as well]. I could see if I could do something, but it would be great if someone who is actually digitally skilled could do something. :happy:

As for fandom things, someone should write a badass AU!fic. With Jacob in it. As the main character or at least really close to Shepard or something.

To the fic, or to the picture?

In addition, some ideas for anyone who wants to write such a fic but has no idea from where to start:

• fluffy "better ending" style fic
• story-heavy "post-War" AU fic where the ending didn't happen
• AU where Jacob does something other than help out the ex-Cerberus scientists [maybe someone else is there to take care of them instead of Jacob?]
• possibly Jacob had more drama!things going on in his history than he let on and then stuff happens, leading to an awesome and really fascinating ~adventure~

Actually, there's a lot that can be done; there's also some really great prompts on the k!meme [masseffectkink/livejournal; might be nsfw, but there is a lot of sfw fic].
