Perm Squaddie? - Nope, already have Liara to fill the Asari spot.

I'd love to have her as a squaddie even though I doubt it happens. It would be pretty cool to take her to my meeting with Wrex though.
I am not sold on her as a squad member, but it would be awesome if BW could arrange some type of meeting between these two. I would love to see how that would go.

I know I will be disappointed if Aria doesn't play a fairly decent sized role in ME3, given the power she holds, she would be an ally with force...she has a small but substantial army at her disposal...Plus the building dialog that developed between Shep and her, it would feel very cut off and un-natural if she suddenly doesn't exist in some substantial capacity in ME3....As an LI?, I have thought about this on and off, looking at who Aria and Shep are, I would see it more so as a political move between them, not so much a romance...That's my take anyway.
IA. I mean, her part is so small in ME2 which is highly contradictory to her infamous line which makes her sounds larger than life. And the dialog - especailly if you concur with her "rule!" (No wonder she's lonely!!)
As far the comment about already having an Asari on your squad, maybe they could do it like with Samara and Morinth. I would be opposed to Aria being an ally - after all, I think she'd return the favor after you gave her the datapad with some info she didn't want to circulate.
I'm still kinda of ticked at Liara anyway for giving me to Cerberus (and I let her know about it).
I do think and hope Aria will be "ME3" if you know what I mean - even if it's temporary.

Aria is just way too rich of a character to let fall by the wayside. I anticipate great things for her come ME3.
I don't see why more than one asari on the squad is problematic. Am I missing something?

Because as Mordin says, "Humans are very genetically different." No 2 humans act or even look the same while all Asari look the same minus shade and marking differences. Not only that, but all Asari have biotics which means any Asari in your squad would have to be a Adept or Vanguard. We already have Liara for that niche.plnero wrote...
I don't either, there's always more than one human so why is an extra asari a problem?

Are you saying Liara and Aria are anything alike? I think that Aria would be a Vanguard anyways, so the class thing wouldn't be a problem.

but it would be pretty cool and make sense storywise if you end working with her during the course of the game.

I don't mean to bring up the P/R thing, but Samara and Morinth reflected that scale. I can also see that with Liara and Aria.
(If I had to choose, I'd probably choose Aria because with what Liara said to me, I didn't take it too well. Really, it's because Aria and I have the same rule! Don't mess with us! *Smirk*

I see that too. I'd go with Liara the first time around because I usually take the Paragon path.

But since there'll be a reduced number of permanent Squadmates I don't think that she is going to be a squadmate at shepard's side.

thanks to Liara you´re alive again, if not for her your story would have ended in M1, never had the chance to speak with Aria or experience anything afterwards... its hard for me to understand people that went so hostile on her because she gived Shep body to Cerberus
If the galaxy is saved thanks to me in M3, i will even thank the Illusive Man, after i put a bullet in his head
On Topic:
I like Aria very much, and even when it would be interestering to have her as a squadmate, i think her potencial will be wasted that way. I believe her position, influence and strategic mind will give us something better as ally in M3

Briefing room. Aria's just been recruited.
Shepard: "Now you might have been "Omega" (air quotes, then strikes THE POSE) BUT I AM THE NORMANDY."
*Garrus and Shepard breaks down laughing*
Aaaah... now I'm just imagining some animator trying to find the right Aria facial expression for that scene.

I'll bet she'll be in 3 in some aspect, but not as a squad member.

I imagine he'd say it in jest to her but then I see her saying " That's too bad, I was rather looking forward to it." Seems like the type of retort we'd see from her.snfonseka wrote...

Aria would leave Omega after the Batarians blow it up. Why would the Baratarians blow up Omega you ask? The fact that they're baratrians is reason enough...
Alright, jokes aside I think Aria would be an interesting squad member. I don't know how you would get her off Omega but I want her as a squad mate/romance.
Bold bits, dats racist!
I fully approve of a badass asari squaddie. Liara is.... nice... But Aria is 20% cooler.
