Aria Is temporarily allied with Cerberus for Mass Effect 3.
I know that it might not be necessarily true, but if it is I feel it doubtful she would be an ally or party member.
Which sucks because that would put her in the category of Hot Evil Female Characters Who Die Needlessly/Tragically.

I'm not sure since, judging by the new comic book, Cerberus is now trying to fight her. I guess TIM can't stop trying to **** with Aria.

No... just no. I didn't like her for the four minutes I saw her in ME2 and I don't want to suffer through her tagging around as a team member. Let her be an enemy that I can kill and just before she's about to go have Shepard put a gun to her head and say. "Guess you shouldn't have f****d with Shepard" *Pull trigger*
Odds are you'll get your chance. ME2 hinted very strongly at Shepard getting to side with Patriarch or Aria.

I agree that Aria would be out of place as a squadmate.
However, given the nature of ME3's storyline, I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up becoming a very powerful ally/partner to Shepard, managing her own force on her own agenda. I really like Aria as well, so I'd love for her to play a part in this story.
I agree with AlphaDormante. She wouldn't necessarilly be cooperative as a squad mate, but she could be a possible allied power that joins with Shepard at some point. I don't know how she is connected with Cerberus exactly, but she could betray them if Shepard offers the better deal. I don't necessarily want her on my squad anyway, but she would make an interesting story element. But I definately want to see her and Wrex meet up! I was sad that you weren't able to tell Wrex that you met up with her in ME2 : /

Ok let me get into the reasoning:(a bit of a spoiler if you haven't read the books)
Kai Leng killed Aria's daughter as we know he also is slated for a appearance in me3, for the moment thought TIM has her convinced it was grayson. Once the inevitable confrontation with grayson happens (which looks to be the comic cover) grayson before his death(as he's fighting his assimilation) will tell her the truth of the events that happened.
Upon finding out TIM played her she'll look for a way to plot her revenge and recall hearing that Sheperd was part of Cerberus she may create a situation to lure him to Omega. That could be done through threatening members of his crew(like Miranda by endangering Oriana) and/or appealing directly to Sheperd.
The lure of such a powerful ally in the fight against the Reapers will warrant a visit to Omega were she'd give him a non-important mission then lure him into dropping his guard and capturing him. She'd start with the usual drill of extorting information out of him about Cerberus I imagine he'd reason with her and she'd tell the guards to leave. Then by tapping into her real pain to explain that this is all about finding who in Cerberus killed her daughter. After making a plea for helping finding the killer with a offer of her help against the reapers in exchange. They'd exchange of any helpful Cerberus data combined with her own info network they'd get the killer's name. Kai Leng.
Seeing a softer non-power pain driven Aria could easily serve as a lure for Sheperd during this time they connect and as old as she is I'm pretty sure her game is strong. The incidental touches, the looks of longings and in a moment of "weakness" she asks him to stay with her or goes to his quarters and they just talk. She'd share and he'd share and the bond would be formed.
Now I imagine once she knows he cares she'd use the heck out of him but I can see her caring for him as well, just hiding it. And Sheperd would know this. Anyway she'd tag along as a teammate offering her forces as help but just because she's a teammate don't expect her to be passive I imagine her being very assertive, sometimes aggressive and when pushed hostile. But above all else reliable and competent, Sheperd wouldn't need to look over her shoulder. He could ask things of her and she'd get them done.
Now some would ask why would Aria do this, well, because she'd know Kai Leng is after Sheperd so why look for him let him come to Sheperd. Also she could go after TIM or encourage Sheperd to after convincing him(if needed at all) TIM is too big of a threat to leave alone.
Understand the Reaper threat is just as big of a threat to Omega as it is the rest of the galaxy so she'd still be acting from a position of strength enforcing her role as leader of Omega by protecting it. And getting her revenge, remember the stronger willed characters do what they want (Wrex, Zaeed) and then Sheperd jumps to put them in line. I imagine with Aria she'd have him jumping like a bunny rabbit, knowing how far to push him before conceding and especially knowing how to apologize.
Whatever the connection between the two it would be a troublous relationship that they might find mutually rewarding given the effort.

I can't exactly see her saying,"What are we going to do now, Shepard?!"
But in fact, I think I could see her on Shepard's crew.A master criminal refugee... Kind of like how Lindsay McDonald was on Angel.Working with Shepard, but on the side, thinking of a way to rebuild her empire. That could be pretty cool.

The undeniable trend, like it or not, is the squad containing a token one of any given alien race. Personally? I don't like it. The trend should be trashed. Liara's presence should not dissuade Aria's inclusion.

Anyway, back to what I actually wanted to post, does anyone know what happened to the Aria for ME3 squadmate group in my signature?
It seems like it's just vanished? Can users delete groups they have made without the consent of lots of other members? I had a lot of posts there *cries*
P.S. Does anyone know if the mods will freak out at me if I try update and build on my old ingame photography tutorial (at social.bioware.com/qnwn.net/forums/forum/1/topic/103/index/3312059/1 )? www.deadendthrills.com has done a great job with that stuff too over the past year or so
(I ask because the mods here have acted with rather questionable judgement in standing up for bullies when I did not agree with some Ashley and Kaiden fanshippers who kept insulting me constantly for daring to disagree
