I am doing the quest for Lorik Qui'in my problem is when i get to his office my decription skill is too low to operate the computer. So can i use one of my squad with a good decription skill to do it or is there another way?

All checks are based on the highest score in the squad. So even a Soldier who has a tech companion, for instance Tali with max skill, will be able to open everything.
I don't remember that you need a high skill to do that mission, I always thought the actual data was in a click to open location. There are several optional terminals that require the skill, but I didn't think the quest points did.
But if i am remembering wrong just go get Tali, Garrus, or Kaidan and drag them along for it.
