i love playing as the soldier, but i just dont like heavy weapons or shotguns. i was wondering if anyone knew if you could leave weapon slots blank, cuz i would LOVE that
Does anyone know if you can leave weapons behind?

I don't remeber seeing heavy weapons in the demo, actually. I would like to leave them, too.

Nope, sorry. Well, you can edit your coalesed.ini file to change your loadout. You can probably do it in Gibbed too.
Oh, you mean in ME3, of course. No idea. I would like that, though.

I don't understand. what troubles gives you bringing all your weapons during missions as a soldier?
Anyway, I remember some twitter or article said that the Soldier could carry 4 weapon (excluding from the count heavy weapons). Since there are AR, SR, pistols, shotguns and SMG, I think that you could leave the shotgun behind. Unless Soldier could bring all the 5 weapons.

yeah, i'd like to leave behind my heavy weapon too.
maybe give a pack that gives you more ammo for your other guns, or more hand grenades or something instead of a heavy weapon? i'd love that.

This option should have been in the series since the beginning. It's one of the main reasons why I've never played a Soldier. Allow us to take the exact weapons we want, don't force us to bring one of each type that our class can use.

Is the problem just from an aesthetic/visual standpoint, that you want your character to be as light as possible? Because I really can't see why it's a bad thing, you don't HAVE to use it...

Just don't use them.
If your speaking about Visuals, I suppose you could edit the ini on PC.
Console? Deal with it.

Hey, it's a stupid question. It deserves stupid answers. But snark will do.

I was thinking along the lines of clonedzero, that you receive much needed ammo, an it would make the game more challenging, and yes, a visual standpoint as well

What exactly is the problem? You don't have to use the weapon. Sure, it's going to be on your back, but it can't be that bothersome.
