Support Kasumi Goto in ME3...As (permanent) Squad Mate....And/or LI...Keep it civil, Kasumi lovers in session and if you wish to troll...."That's neural decay? Seems like regular old crazy to me."....:P
Give all your love to Kasumi Goto!!...:wub::wub::wub:

Kasumi Goto - Lovingly written by ilovemesometurian:

ilovemesometurian wrote...
Ohhhhh Kasumi is my dream girl. Beautiful, yet mysterious and got a great sense of humor =D Here is my rant on why I LOVE our favorite little asian kleptomaniac!

The girl is very self-stabilizing. She leads an active and dangerous lifestyle, but has maintained a sort of air of normlacy around herself. She enjoys the simple things... poetry, books, humor and the company of others. She is intelligent, quick-witted and enjoyable to take on missions. She offers a unique "live and love life" perspective that you don't find often among your crewmembers. Also on a side note, she has a great sense of style. Love the red loyalty thing going on there Kas =D

Kasumi had a crush in Jacob. It was never meant to go anywhere it's just her playful little way of trying to move on, showing that she's saddened but not crippled by Keiji's death. She likes to flirt, it's part of her personality and to give her more depth as a DLC character. I loved how she informed Shep on how she talks to the other crew members. Like when she says, "Samara told me she really appreciated your help. As hardcore as she is, I don't think she could have done it alone." Her character has an extra layer of demension with how she treats others.

I like how she has an ear to the ground. She knows alot about people, but is not a gossip. Well, she's a harmless gossip, like she wants to hear good news but doesn't spread around the bad news. What adds to my respect of her even more is she seems to know exactly the right thing to say about every member of the crew. I found this especially true when she speaks of Jack. "I understand why Jack is the way she is. I don't like it, but I get it."

By the way, I find her adventurous attitude is very interesting for a thief. I expected her to be the zen stoic type, like Thane or Samara, but she turned out to have a very light-hearted personality despite such a unique lifestyle. All in all she surprised me and I was into her since the day that guy hacked the game and found her placeholder when he used her in the suicide mission. I am a Kasumi fan, forever and true. Her and Garrus are an awesome squad pair. But I do have to point out a few things I hear about her that kind of makes me go grrrr ^_^

Statement 1: Why the hell would you recruit a thief for a suicide mission?! That seems so stupid.

Answer: In Mass Effect's world, a universe where computer systems and security is everywhere, to be a thief one needs no less than a mastery of all things technical, stealth skills, weapons training in case things go amiss, intelligence, people skills and infiltration specialization. Think of her more as a Splinter Cell/Assasins Creed skillset cross with master tech powers and a cute yet dangerous, Oceans' 11 feel.

Statement 2: OMG Kasumi isn't going to be in Mass Effect 3 stupid. She's DLC and everyone hates her (Actual post from someone not very nice :("

Answer: I disagree! It's been done before (by BioWare nonetheless) and Kasumi is in a great spot as she is familiar but can be explored much better. Adding in the bi option, her includence in the story, the mystery of Shepards belongings, the greybox and some other factors, and we can see that Kasumi actually has a good chance of making it as a perm squaddie in ME3 (if such a thing even exists). Besides, when focusing on smaller squad banter, who better to add in than the girl who knows everyone? =D
Short version of the answer? Look up ANDERS.

Btw, As a DLC character without full dialogue? She's got a pretty freaking HUGE fan-base.

Statement 3: She totally is a bad thief. She didn't even cloak in Hock's mansion when disabling security or try to wear an appropriate disguise...

Answer: I have a theory on that. While being a romantic, I think that while she could have taken back the greybox without a hitch. But her risktaking attitude didn't allow her to just make this another job. I think she wanted confrontation, stating that even at her most obvious she could get into Hock's home. I think she made herself open on purpose, as she really wanted deep down to kill Hock and make taking the box all the sweeter =D

Anyway, I think she is one of the best characters out there and she (pun oh so completely intended) was Kasuming Direct Control of my heart!  I can't wait for her to just be seen in ME3, even if she's not a full squaddie. I love you Ms. Goto. I really dooooo =D

SHADOW BROKER DOSSIER:

KASUMI GOTO'S EASTER EGG DIALOGS:
Ilovemesometurian collected these....thank you Turian...^_^

If you listen to her message ad on the Citadel when you first meet
her and don't answer right away, you can hear some pretty hilarious
lines, including her posing as an asian "companion" for Shepard!

If you take her through the Citadel tunnels when the alarms go off
for the first time, Kasumi says "I swear to God I didn't touch
anything!"

If you listen to Avina's theories about Reapers on the Citadel,
Kasumi will claim that the council is really trying to relay the "geth
did it message" and claim that you can't even say Reapers without
inciting a panic. She'll test this theory by then saying "Reapers!" all
while mocking the Turian council member's famous air finger quotes!

If you have Kasumi and Tali with you when you confront the volus
accusing the quarian of stealing, Kasumi will respond to Tali's "Jacking
his olfactory filters" line by saying, "Can you do that? Because I know
some people... nah, forget it."

A nice little tidbit for you major roleplayers, if you take Kasumi
with you when confronting Kahlisah Al Jilani (the news reporter)
sometimes she will be seen behind Shepard shying away from the cameras.
This makes her seem like she really wants to avoid having her face on
camera like a true thief XD

If you take her with you to the recruiter on Archangel's mission and
Shepard confronts the young man trying to become a freelance merc there
will be unique dialogue for her. When the man says he knows how to
handle a gun, Kasumi says "A five year old knows how to handle a gun!"

When you take her to Archangel's mission and tell her to stay with
him and keep him alive, she says sarcastically "But I was looking
forward to crawling around in a dark basement." In respect if you take a
long time with the shutters she says "Things are jumping up here Shep!
Don't screw around with those shutters too long!"

If you take her to Mordin's mission and have Grunt with you she
comments on the burning bodies saying that "I've seen alot of bad before
but this is worse... way worse." Grunt then says "Anybody hungry? No?"
She quips back, "Ugh... I think I'm going to be sick..."

If you take her to Jack's mission she comments on torture. "Ugh,
torture? These are some sick freaks." When you confront Jack, Kasumi
gets a little vicious stating that if Jack doesn't pick Shepard's side
then she'd regret it. "I'd take the offer honey. Otherwise things go get
bad for you. Fast."

If you take her on Grunt's recruitment she has several unique lines,
the best being when you meet Rana Thanoptis where Kasumi says, "She
seemed nice. In that 'mad scientist with ethics for sale' kind of way."

If you take her on Horizon she has several great lines. She refers
to the Illusive man as "Mr. Illusive" and when you meet Delan and he
claims that the targeting perimeters on the cannons never worked right
Kasumi moans and says "Please. Just tell us where to go." like an
annoyed tech expert XD. When you meet the VS at the end and they say
that the Alliance got a tip about Cerberus Kasumi complains "Well it
seems that every step we take is broadcasted across the galaxy." She
also claims stasis tech would "Save her alot of time on a job" and when
the group gets swarmed by Collectors she shouts "More of them! We sure
are popular today!"

When taken on Tali's mission she complains about the sun saying,
"And I'm wearing black! Can we get in the shade please?" when you see
the colossus she screams, "Oh God, Colossus!" which may be a planet of
the apes reference.

When taken to meet Samara she has two great lines. When talking of
disobeying suicidal orders she says, "Let's remember that the next time
Shepard sends us to get our asses blown off." When she meets Niftu the
self-proclaimed biotic god she says, "Awww... can we keep him?"

When taken on Jacob's loyalty mission she comments on the effects of
the toxic plants making the crew insane, saying "That's neural decay?
Seems like regular old crazy to me."

When taken on Mordin's loyalty mission she talks greatly in depth
with Mordin. She asks him if he's always thinking about things like the
genophage to which he replies no and that sometimes he falls asleep.
When Mordin says he thinks the labs are ahead due to smelling hints of
dead flesh, Kasumi replies, "Well, I'm spooked. Thanks."

When taken to the Shadow broker's base and is in the party when
Shepard and Liara confront the broker, he actually has two lines about
Kasumi. The first is if she completed her loyalty mission. He thanks
Shepard for bringing Ms. Goto along saying that either the graybox she
has herself or Keiji's graybox is priceless. The second line is saying
that he's surprised Shepard brought the thief as now she will miss
Hock's party.

She has several lines about each character's romance:

She claims that Jacob is one of the good ones and that he's looking
to use his biotics to rip Shepard right out of those clothes. She says
not to make him work so hard.

If Shepard and Jacob break up, she expresses her sadness for them
and that they were such a good couple. But quickly rebounds, asking if
he's back on the market and saying maybe she should start wearing her
"come hither" hood.

She says that Thane isn't her type, but she understands Shepard's
like for him. She wants details at the romance at first, "I want
details. Actually, no... I don't. But I'm happy for you."

If Thane and Shepard end their relationship, she just says she's surprised and doesn't know what to say as she didn't expect it.

She says that Miranda needs to be handled gently by Shepard. She
says that she's not used to seeing Miranda smile while she's working and
it's all because of Shepard. However she does show displeasure in
Miranda and Shepard consumating the relationship in the engine room,
right there where Tali works, ending with Kasumi asking exactly how
genetically modified she is, "Because... wow."

If Miranda and Shepard decide against feeling more, she voices her
sadness for Shepard saying that she thought the relationship would
really work out.

Kasumi says probably the best reflection on Jack's personality. "I
understand why Jack is the way she is. I don't like it... but I get it."
She says Shepard is a brave man for visiting that part of the ship so
often and advises caution in handling Jack both physically and mentally.
She says that she's glad her and Shepard shared a... "moment" and said
Jack seemed to her generally touched.

If Jack and Shepard call it quits then Kasumi is stunned. Saying that there's someone out there for everyone. Even Jack.

She says that although she can't really tell with turians, she gets
the hint that Garrus really likes Shepard. She says that Shep should go
for it as alot of people want to see them together. Later on she says
that someone saw Garrus heading to Shepard's room with a bottle of
champagne and expresses her happiness for the two, saying that in a
galaxy where good friends are becoming a luxury that people like Garrus
are hard to find.

If Shepard and Garrus decide to stay just friends, Kasumi says that
the two of them would have worked well together but then again Shepard
knew best.

Kasumi finds Tali extremely cute, saying that Shepard is all she
talks about in that "Sweet rainbows and butterflies kind of way." She
advises Shepard to be good to her. When Tali and Shepard get together,
she says that Tali showing Shepard her face took alot of trust on her
part and that she's glad the two of them are together.

If Shepard rejects Tali, Kasumi expresses heartache and
disappointment in the fact, saying again that it's hard to see Tali
upset. She hopes he let her down gently.

If Shepard romances Kelly then Kasumi smiles saying that she hopes the two of them had a nice date.

If Shepard attempts to romance Samara, Kasumi says that she saw
Samara walk out of her room very upset. She asks if Shepard attempted to
start a relationship with her and tells him she knew that unfortunately
wasn't going to happen.

Kasumi is also one of the only squadmates who notices a change when
Morinth takes Samara's place. She advises Shepard that Morinth will most
likely come onto him and advises Shepard caution and to avoid having
any kind of relationship with her.

If you take her on the derelict reaper and the shields come up, trapping
them inside, Kasumi goes, "Trapped inside a Reaper... could be worse.
Don't know how, but... I guess it could be full of rats."

Also on the Reaper when you come across explosive barrels she goes,
"High pressure tanks... think our enemies are allergic to having their
asses blown off?"

On Tuchanka if Urz is injured Kasumi will feel sorry for him, hoping that he is not seriously hurt.

When on Tali's recruitment she comments on the quarian buildings.
"Quarian architecture... nice shapes too. If we can get an entire
building out of here I could line up a buyer." After the squad recovers
from the Colossus' first shot she says, "It's always like this around
you, isn't it?"

There are many other quotes but these are so far the best ones XD

FUN FACTS:
Supplied by ilovemesometurian :

If you make her cloak on an enemy before entering a cutscene, her
gun, her body or sometimes both stayed cloaked through the entire
cutscene. This works best during the suicide mission where combat and
cutscenes go hand in hand.

She is the only squadmate to give both male and female Shepard a
special nickname. She says "Shep" constantly even in the suicide
mission. The only other character to do this is Thane and only to his
romance option.

If Kasumi is hit by friendly fire she will shout, "Have you been drinking?!" and "What am I, invisible or something?!"

Kasumi shouts, "Cloaking!" "Going dark!" "Going silent!" "Now you
see me..." when using Shadow Strike and "Ha-ha!" "Lights out!" "Gift for
you!" "Boom!" when using Flashbang grenades.

She rivals Yeoman Kelly Chambers for the most insight on all the crew.

Additional unused dialogue dictates her saying multiple hacking
phrases, which seems to suggest she also had AI hacking before she was
given Shadow Strike.

The name Kasumi generally means "Haze" or "Mist" which may dictate
lack of sight, which lends to symbolism as her occupation as a thief.

She sports many references, Planet of the Apes quotes, a Jurassic
Park quote and also a tribute to Dragon Age in her loyalty mission.

Also her red loyalty outfit may resemble the hooded figure Little Red Riding Hood who was also portrayed as a thief.

NOTE: This OP lovingly constructed almost entirely by Noble and ilovemesometurian...Thank you guys, I couldn't have done this myself....^_^....We have a wonderful OP now....

I actually really really like this. Depends on her role in ME3. It's likely she'll be in the game in some capacity (given a 'Garrus Treatment' if you didn't have the DLC, making her have her 'first meeting' with you be in ME3 instead), so yeah.

But then I think it'd be a cool idea to have Zaeed and Kasumi as fully fleshed out squad characters in ME3 in order to resolve the 'ME2 deaths' issue a little. It's not likely they'll die (just like Garrus and Tali), and if you do a fresh ME3 file, it can be that they were alive by default. Yeah, OT, bye :)

I love Kasumi. I wouldn't romance her, but would definitely want to see how it plays out.

(I like the thread title btw ^_^)

More support for Kasumi (our favourite thief in the galaxy) incoming :D.

I would love for her to return as an LI in ME3
She is the only ME2 female character I actually really like / interested in, and she isn't even a 'full' character.
She is cute, mysterious, caring, funny, and playful (dare I say kinky as well ) .

I would say Kasumi only has a crush on Jacob. I'm not sure it would ever be anything more than a crush, as Kasumi seems to be only interested in Jacob's looks / body. It just seems to be something to keep her mind off Keiji.
Imo, Jacob seems to have feelings for Miranda (I wouldn't mind seeing them get together in ME3).

Kasumi and Shepard seem to get on very well,  I would love for their 'relationship' to develop into something more passionate and meaningful .

I think actually getting her in ME3 would be a more realistic goal than having her in the game AND a love interest. >.> Don't get me wrong, I love Kasumi and I want to see her into the game as much as anyone else but.. shes a DLC character. Don't quote me on it, but I remember reading somewhere that they wouldn't be in the game.

Also, i'd prefer if she got with Jacob than Shepard.

It sounds like its been confirmed that she will appear in ME3 (semi-conformation in the Livestream vid, at about the 24 min mark), and a while back I think they said Zaeed was in.
Its just a question of how big a role will they play (?).

Well Zaeed has been confirmed to appear (according to Mass Effect wiki) and he´s a DLC character so Kasumi has a chance.

I liked her fun, mysterious nature. Her funny lines helped lighten the mood for me.

My first female LI is Tali, but I must admit Kasumi is a close second. She's pretty interesting, and I like her style. That, and with her loyalty mission I got to play a little Bond at a party. Good times had by all... well, except the host. ;)
