Jacobs too serious and has a stick buried permanently where the sun doesn't shine, he would be a drag on her joy, joy....His just a passing phase, she will realize by ME3...

The loss of someone deeply loved does not make someone permanently unable to love again...I don't think she would stop loving Keji, but new love can still bloom.

That is a good point Kain....Do you know if it is actually specified when Keji died? There is also a break of about 6-12 months between ME2 and ME3....You do have a good point.

Yeah I have nothing against Kasumi romance. It's just going to be hard for a person to build up a new relationship just after 6-9 months of their beloved died, ESPECIALY putting together those broken pieces in the middle of reaper invasion. Probably even harder if you let her keep the holobox, I can just see her loging in every night before going to sleep, she seemed very attached.

I certainly don't mind if Shep has to work to capture her heart, would be much better than her falling all over him like so many do...but am hoping the chance is there.

Besides I would much rather see Jacob with Miranda.

Hmm... maybe Bioware could do this:
IF you romanced Miranda = Jacob possibly getting together with Kasumi.
IF you didn't romance Miranda = Jacob getting together with Miranda.

As Golden Owl  said, you do have a good point,, but more time has (will have) passed by ME3.
A part from the Greybox seeming to bring back a 'rush' of feelings, Kasumi doesn't seem that upset about Keiji's death. That implies that she has had time to grieve (especially since she has a slight crush on Jacob, that says something), so I'm guessing Keiji died a few months before ME2, probably something like 5-8 months (maybe more). 
Keiji probably died quite a while before Kasumi went off the radar for a while (due to Cerberus looking for her).

I think it was either at E3, or in the Livestream vid that Bioware said the ME3 takes roughly 12 months after the events of ME2. 
So if I had to guess, Keiji probably will have been dead for about a year and a half (maybe more) by ME3.

As I said, it seems that Kasumi has had time to grieve, so you wouldn't have to fix all those 'broken pieces' in the middle of an invasion.
Even if you let her keep the Greybox, I think within a year she would have learnt to move on from the 'memories' (Keiji did tell her to move on).  


Besides, when things seem to be going to 'Hell in a hand basket', it brings people together...So a Kasumi romance would be plausible, if done right .

Just because she is a DLC character doesn't mean she won't be in ME3 as a full character. Remember ME1, you had the option of not recruiting Garrus or Wrex in the first place, but BioWare made it work. DLC is important in the ME universe (the story from ME2 to 3 was told via downloadable content). Besides it's not like BioWare hasn't made DLC characters full squaddie members in a sequel before. Just look at Dragon Age. And that character even was able to die in the DLC game. ME3 may give her two additional meetings (like for Garrus and Wrex in ME2) or it may just assume that she was part of your team in ME2.

She could very well be a bi option. An old face with new features is very appealing to fans who jumped in right at ME2. She's unique and her loyalty mission ties in well with the storyline. She's the only infiltrator class we have in the game, especially if your Shep isn't an infiltrator (look at me, calling Shepard "Shep" =D) and she can get along well dynamically with the confirmies (She likes Garrus, adores Tali, has done business with Liara, Ashley may see her as a threat to the alliance if she saved the Graybox ect.)

She's really popular just as a DLC character, so she'd skyrocket if she felt like a full character with actual dialogue. So I think she has as much a chance as anybody else. She's Kasuming Direct Control of our hearts and I'd adore to see her in ME3 as a LI. I can see a sexy scene where just before Shep kisses her she cloaks playfully and asks if she/he'd always be there. When Shep says yes Kasumi uncloaks and the panties COME OFF!!
