I just want to see more of her in ME3. I'm sick of these excuses that we probably won't see a lot of her because she's DLC. Those who bought the DLC are big fans of her and I think we deserve more of our favourite Japanese Kleptomaniac in ME3. Perhaps there's a chance that she'll be in the game regardless if you bought the Stolen Memory DLC or not, just different circumstances. That's my hope anyway. The greybox seems like a plot important item. She certainly has a lot more reason to stay than Zaeed, and plus she even made friends on Shepard's crew and seemed more likely to befriend Shepard than some of the squadmates.
I just don't see where people are coming from when they say she has no reason to stay.

Long Story short - Someone found her character whilst going through ME2 files and put together a placeholder model to get her in-game (as her 3d model wasn't in any of the packages included with ME2).
