I always keep that Gray Box. And my reasons are following.
1. Unlikely many others, I actually think that it could be good for Kasumi that she got chance to see some of those memories about Keiji. And that's because of...
- It gives Kasumi a chance to say goodbye to Keiji in her own terms. I think that Kasumi never really saw Keiji body and only heard that he had died (if I remember right). Now because of this she hadn't really have had chance to truly say goodbye to him. It's fact that it's harder to say goodbye to anyone, if you haven't seen physical remains or the very least empty coffin reflect this dead person. Because seeing the body or coffin will make this healing and moving on process much faster and a little bit less painful. And now while Keiji doesn't have physical body, there is still his image in those memories and when the time is ready, Kasumi can say goodbyes to that image.
- To me it seems that Kasumi never actually had any time to mour Keiji death, not really. That's because of this Grey Box and all the tracking and searching Kasumi did in order to found it. Also it's possible that because Kasumi knew that there are some of those memories in there and that part of Keiji is still alive (in certain way), part of her never emotionally accepted that Keiji had truly died. (Some of his memories still exist and that he is alive in those.)
- Those memories are exactly what Kasumi and her needs to move on.
- Now there is always possibility that keeping this box could make things worse and even cause obsession, but personally I believe that in the long run it would be good for Kasumi to have that box.
2. It's way too early to destroy the box, when that decision should be made in ME2. Kasumi had just found the box she had been searching for quite some time and of course all those memories about Keiji. In short it's just one truly emotional moment for Kasumi and definitely something where you shouldn't be discussing about destroying the box. But I understand that this "keep or Destroy the box" was game play decision and it was not meant to be something you could do later. Personally I would have wanted that this question about keeping or destroying the box would have been later on the game. This way Kasumi would have had more time to come to terms with personal content inside the box and not just destroy it out of necessity.
And maybe that could have happened, if Kasumi wouldn't have been DLC character.
3. Ultimately keeping or destroying that box should be Kasumi's decision, which she should do in her own terms. And most important, when she is ready to destroy the box (and she definitely wasn't, when this decision was in the game). And if she wants my Shep's help to destroy the box and just moral support/shoulder to cry afterwards, my Shep is more than willing to do that. (Regardless of would Kasumi be LI or not.)
4. Well this one is a little less noble reason as keeping that box would most likely cause problems for Kasumi and when that happens, you as Shep got chance to save/help her. And this good way to get Kasumi back in your crew as nothing is safer place in the galaxy than being onboard of the Normandy. (Yes, yes, Cerberus and Reapers are after you and wants to kill you, but still Shep will always win.
)
So, here are my reasons for keeping this Grey Box.

...I am thinking it's because Kasumi is a DLC....Not everyone has her and for those that do you can't have real intereaction with her.
