Why does everyone in this thread have a Garrus avatar?

Do we all have a love interest #2?

That's because Garrus is awesome... even though I haven't been bringing him on my missions of late. He's still awesome and this is why.

That's how we show our love to Kasumi; by having Garrus as our avatars.

I should probably try to get some people from some of the Kasumi support groups to start posting here.

It's hard to discuss a character that doesn't have any relations with other squadmates, a romance, or a dialog wheel, with a very vague history.

Wait on ME3, and we will jump to page 7000 in a matter of hours.

I wonder what would happen if Kasumi started sifting through the information om the greybox. Would she destroy it?

That's why I keep it for one. I think it opens up the opportunity for Kasumi to practice some immersion therapy. She can dive into the box heavily at first and slowly starts using it (to see Keiji) until she can get along without him. Secondly I was always curious about the info on the Alliance and trust Kasumi to keep it hidden.

Edit: Didn't quite hit my point on the head. I think that she would continue to use it considering a greybox is as unique as she, the sahdow broker, and others let on. If the Alliance info is unable to be removed from Keiji's memories due to his encryption she may just not access Keiji so much or remove him entirely if able to when she's ready.

Problem is that Kasumi has a greybox in her head as well. It stands to reason that if she ever slipped up and cought the attention of another person that's like Hock she would be hunted.

Well I suppose justified that thinking that since she had the encryption key that she could wipe the box at will.

Sure but they would also be interested in getting at her greybox too.

The are both Infiltrators. I believe the only 2 Infiltrator squadmates in ME2 (if you count Legion as an Engineer, which you should). Garrus is more of a sniper and Kasumi more of a melee fighter/disabler, but Infiltrators/Rogues regardless.

They come with the usual Rogue characteristics: laidback, cool-headed, deadly, handy with tech and gadgets, and so on. I'd say Garrus is the squadmate most similar to Kasumi in terms of character, although they are all very unique and interesting.

P.S. They also both do what they do for the love of it. For Garrus it's hunting criminals. For Kasumi it's stealing valuables. Unlike the other characters, who are motivated by:

Atonement: Mordin, Thane;

Money/Favors: Jack, Zaeed;

A Desire For Purpose: Grunt, Wrex;

Admiration for Shepard: Liara, Legion, Tali;

Duty: Ashley, Kaidan, Miranda, Jacob.

Although Garrus admires Shepard very much, I doubt it's why he follows Shepard. I think he follows Shepard because he can kill the maximum amount of criminals that way. He said so in ME1.

Nice post.

I think Garrus follows Shepard because itt takes his mind off of the death of his squadmates and to have Shepard's back when it comes to dealing w/ the Reapers. Last but not least, to do his calibrations.

What did the female Batarian Pirate say to the Bi-LI Kasumi in ME3?

I wish so much we had more about her. It's why I can't wait for this FanFic because we can see someone else's viewpoint on her story and times with Shep. I am so excited about it.

I just really want her to come up to Shep in ME3 and say, "Before I deleted the graybox/I was looking through Keiji's graybox and I found this on the reapers..." FILL IN AMAZING CLUE HERE!!!

It'll take more than a fanfic to get more interest generated for Kasumi. The curse of being a DLC character yet Zaeed is gonna return to ME3, though probably not as a squadmate. Who knows what'll happen.

Yep. All the Garrus avatars are awesome.

Kasumi being DLC for ME2 shouldn't rule out a prominent place for her in ME3, because players that didn't buy her before can still be introduced. Maybe she did the graybox mission without Shep. Or, maybe I'm just desperate for more Kasumi.

But she had to survive the events of ME2 to move on to ME3 and seeing as she was never recruited in the first place would seem to preclude her being in ME3. Zaeed is gonna return for ME3 but what if you never recruited him because you didn't install the DLC?

Both of them do still exist, regardless of whether they were recruited or not. You can skip Garrus in ME1, and the ME2 dynamic between him and Shep will change, but his recruitment is still forced. So it's very possible even those who never played Stolen Memory will cross paths with Kasumi in ME3. She could even be a squad member for a good chunk of the game.

Just putting it out there. I remain cautiously hopeful.
