Anya I believe is from Trinidad/Tobago or something. I want Kasumi to have two things that Anya does. Anya's long black hair and her eye structure. Not too squinted, not too round. Perfect! I wouldn't want Kasumi that tan though, and from the nose down definitely isn't our Kas. But nonetheless, the hair is what I stress the most. Loose flowing jet black hair =D If anything the rest of her face should be modeled after our very own Kym Hoy. Have you SEEN that woman? Gorgeous.

But regardless, as long as we get her as a squaddie and she keeps the same personality, I wouldn't care if she never takes the hood off. The best thing about Kasumi is you get to see a little of her face to keep the mystery. Has anyone ever tried turning the lighting of the game all the way up? Because her wiki picture is a pretty good image of her face.

See? Her eyes are PERFECT  To die for! Her face is perfectly and slightly rounded too. Swoon~

Ditto. With black hair. ;) Haha I'm such a dork.

Shen-Mei is a character from my now favorite book, Bastion. She's modeled directly after Anya's looks apparently and sounds really cool. The author of that book series is trying to get published but he's apparently an avid Kasumi fan and was inspired to write by BioWare's storytelling skills. Particularly Mass Effect by the sound of it. ^_^

Btw just saying. While we're on topic about Kasumi... may I say that the author of Bastion would make one sexy Keiji???

Dayummm...

Han Shot First, I was actually agreeing with you in my post. If we are looking for a model for Kasumi, we should look at actresses/models of East Asian decent - that is, Japanese(preferably), Taiwanese, Chinese, Singaporean Chinese, or Korean. And since it appears a lot of people in this thread have absoluely no idea about how cute East Asian girls actually look like, I'm happy to provide some samples.

Well, it seems that some people in this thread have no idea what cute East Asian guys look like either. Oh well. Perhaps another time.

Awh I think he's cute =) I don't really have any standards of what an asian person HAS to look like. I like cute faces and cuter personalities =) that being said these girls are pretty. #2 looks the most Kasumi-ish

Well, he is, but like Kasumi, he's kinda average looking from an Asian person's point of view. Boy-next-door type, if you will. If you really like Asian culture, perhaps you should watch some of our movies. The cinema of both Hong Kong and Japan are absolutely brilliant, and largely unacknowledged in the West despite being ripped off very often.

For example, a cheap rip-off by Martin Scorsese of the Hong Kong movie 無間道 actually went on to win 4 Oscars, including Best Picture.

Warning: Quite a few gorgeous actors appear in this movie, but it's mostly the men that get the screen time.

I personally like 黒沢明/Akira Kurosawa's movies. But there's very few women in them at all, seeing that they are about samurais in feudal Japan. Sergio Leone (another favorite director of mine) began his rise to fame by ripping off Kurosawa's masterpiece Yojimbo.

Well I just read his profile. I think he's asian/american/british. So that explains why he looks so... american. XD I never got to see any asian movies although my friend's mom does watch a lot of korean soap operas. They tend to seem to be the guy/girl next door type although to me they're all very exotic.

Crap. Now I lost my picture. STUPID LINK!

Anyway maybe there are some people who know what an full-blooded asian is supposed to look like. I'm not too sure. But any of these women would do. From the plain ones to the movie stars, it'll be more of a case of Kasumi's looks needing to compliment the personality, not the other way around. She's just so playful for a thief. But I'm sure BioWare will get it right. They always seem to make women look both beautiful and deadly. Like Jack. Her tattoos completely turn me off, but her face is actually quite gorgeous.

A.k.a= Kasumi is going to be amazing. Can't wait for herrr. can't waiiiit...

Also YAAAY the thread is picking up popularity! Yes for talking and double yes for pretty girls!

Okay what's another subject... Hmm... how about top favorite three Kasumi quotes/moments?

I approve.

Who else feels like Kasumi became Shepard's closest and most trusted companion during ME2? For my part I always took her on just about every mission and I always talked to her after a major event and she always had something really insightful to say about other people, even more so than Kelly who just gave overviews or first impressions. In my mind her ability to read people and the way you helped her with the graybox showed her Shepard is a kindred spirit and can be trusted and for Shepard's part, he relies more and more on her, not just for the mission but also in observing the rest of Normandy's crew. She's his eyes, ears and right hand. Miranda may have her bugs but he's got something better.

Which is why we need her in ME3 damn it!

Using Zaeed's Inferno Grenade and Kasumi's Flashbang work great together.

Agreed! That and she was a constant source of just good ol' fashioned conversation. It seemed that after every hard decision or every critical moment, Shep found himself in Kasumi's room for some stories or something that would cheer him up. And she always did!

Just dropping in to show my support for Kasumi, she's the awesome sister my Shepard never had.

And to go slightly off-topic, because .

I completely agree with you. I'm a bit of a newcomer to Asian cinema myself, precisely because it's largely unacknowledged here, like you said. But now that I've discovered it, I'm shocked at all the unoriginality in Hollywood. I wish more people here in the west would stop being so averse to subtitles...

Heh, I've never seen The Departed, yet I've tried to get others to watch Infernal Affairs. Unsuccessfully. But I did manage to get my family hooked on the TV series Wing Chun, (Yuen Biao, Nic Tse) so that's a start.

I have been collecting Asian Movies (DVD's) for the past year...(mostly Chinese and Japanese so far) and have aquired a real taste for them...love them....I haven't learned the names of the actors as yet (except for 'Tony Jaa'....Nice...^_^...)....but there are certainly some very handsome men among them....and some very attractive women too.

^Well off topic or not it gets the conversation going. I do not want to see other character has more post like Jacob, T.I.M, Kaidan, Ashley, Miranda, Garrus, etc. in there thread then here in Kasumi! (And of course Shepard is exception for a thread but other character gets more then Shepard and Kasumi =/ ) Kasumi is #1 for me. and this much of posts and pages is not enough support for Kasumi.

Off topic: I liked The Departed better.  But both were very good.

On Topic:  Kasumi is one of the better characters, would be nice to have her in ME3.

And sadly it goes off topic, because she is a DLC Character. Not much profile to talk about her. I think Zaeed has more posts then here in Kasumi. But yeah She is better character indeed.

I think we would all definitely spark up again if BW would just give a little news on Kasumi...I believe this thread would take off then and become very Kasumi focussed speculating on her role in ME3....right now we are just playing the waiting game...:?
