Madness? THIS IS BIOWARE! Who else could pull a stunt like this. Blizzard? They would throw in Pandas against the Reapers. CD Project Red? They f-ed up Witcher 2 so hard I nearly cryed. They took the dragon age 2 treatment to unplayable level. Only Bioware can do it. By the way, It's nice that ya ignored my wall of text fight with CrutchCricket but reached the same conclusion with the Hock Heist. Of course this just prooves my ideas, but there is copyright on them. It's right here on mx des....whatthef......they were here jsut a minute ago. where are.....KASUMIIII!!!!

There was a fight?

Regarding your thoughts on the matter, it follows that Kasumi wanted a confrontation so we can all arrive at that conclusion easily enough. However she never worked with Hock on anything, otherwise he'd have seen her face, or at least her appearance, and she wouldn't be surprised and claim he's never seen her. I also don't see Hock starting out similarily to Kasumi at all. He's supposed to be a gun runner or the equivalent of a South American Drug Cartel Lord (in space) or both. So his origins are probably along those lines; he works his way up the organization starting as a simple enforcer until he kills the old boss and takes over or he started his own smaller business and expanded, taking out a boss in the process. Then Keji stole something from him, got caught, Hock got his gray box and killed him and thus we come to our story.

Not THAT kind of fight. Just dialogue does not sound badass enough.

Yeah Kasumi setting this up deliberately seems blatantly obvious. But I still stand by what I said that there was an air of informality between Hock, Kasumi and Keiji. I'm quite sure there is more history between the three. And Some significance of the Gunn alias. Naturally Hock played along, since he did not want an incident in fornt of the guests. It's depressing to think that Shep was just a pawn in the game, but all good relationships start rough.

:bandit:

Anyway, Kasumi herself says she's never met Hock and more importantly he's never seen her. She wouldn't be wrong about that. No data about Keji, maybe he did work for Hock before. No data about the Gunn alias either. However I don't think she'd pick something deliberately provocative. Yes she wanted a confrontation but she wanted the gray box more (or first). Say Solomon Gunn was the name of Hock's biggest rival and Keji helped take him down. If she shows up with a new "Solomon Gunn", Hock sees someone bearing the name of his former enemy and in the presence of what could very well be his current one. Even if he doesn't just gun them down right there, there's plenty of ways he could turn the tables on them before they have time to crack the vault. And guests or no guests Hock doesn't strike me as the subtle kind. You don't get very far away from his house when he suddenly attacks you with a gunship, to say nothing of the mercs and mechs he sends after you. No, at the point of introductions Hock is only as suspicious as is "normal" for paranoid criminal warlords. If the Gunn alias meant something to him he'd be more suspicious.

Far more likely is that "Solomon Gunn" is a joke name, a parody of Hock himself. Same number of syllables, Hock's a gun runner hence "Gunn", and Solomon might be referring to the biblical Solomon or to some other in universe Solomon who was corrupt and greedy. Even on my first playthough their names struck me as eerily similar when they introduced themselves.

Maybe we'll find out more in ME3 if she's in it.

^Maybe. Just maybe. I don't like in interview video of what Casey Hudson says that every Mass Effect character has there own agenda. I don't know if that means, you will probably see Kasumi but not a squadmate. If that so then screw ME3.

www.vg247.com/2011/11/02/mass-effect-3-squad-roster-reveal-would-spoil-the-story/

Really!? Is just going to be a galactic war then a Roleplay story view like ME2? He mentioned is going to be like ME1. So that means they went backward..

They're willing to reveal that the Reapers attack the Earth but are not willing to reveal who's on the squad b/c it'll spoil the story. Lame.

The Reaper attack is no surprise. Look at your life. It is inevitable that you will die. But the identity of those who will be there to mourn you at your funeral is MAJOR SPOILER. Sorry for the rather grim metaphor but it is the bes tI could find.

He might as well said that every Mass Effect character has their own nervous system.

Two top priorities on Kasumi's agenda are "Having fun" and "Looting". My Shepard can offer a lot of help with both.

I was just thinking today how sad I would be if Kasumi only had a minor reference. Luckily, the whole gray box thing shoots my hopes up knowing that she'll probably have to appear. Has it been confirmed that she's returning?

Actually it was stated like a thousand times that everyone, including the DLC characters will return if they didn't die in ME2. It's her role that is up in the ait. Cameo? Temp Squadmate? Perma Squadmate? Love Interest? Poster character?

Mass Effect Wiki is rather ass about it. You don't see Samara either even though she is not a DLC character. I'm pretty sure Kasumi was mentioned by name but I will not dig up all the gameshow Q and A's if you want to be stubborn about it.

If Zaeed is in, there's no reason Kasumi wouldn't be. It's logical to assume she is. Still the fact that she's not specifically confirmed while he is is galling.

Sure is galling. Zaeed is one of the character i dislike too. So I hope Kasumi will be in ME3.

What are the chances of her getting the love interest treatment in Mass Effect 3? I was wondering about this. I have a single Shepard and was thinking of pairing him with BW's favorite ninja.

Agreed. Especially since Kasumi was originally intended to be part of the main game, instead of a DLC.

Evidence here:

I remember reading somewhere that Kasumi was intended to be romance-able eventually but I can't find the damn article!

 Ehhm maybe SOMEONE stole it.

No I'm not sugggesting anyone. Or am I?

Okay, I am. Misterious, Introduced in ME2 ,Dresses up in cool clothes. Has the best room in the whole game. Posesses a fanbase waaay too smal for such an awesome character. Nature of involvment in ME3 highly debated. Ambiguous morality. Probably likes bars. Very perceptive, has good eyes. Likes to work with Jacob but the feeling is far from mutual. Very useful but you would not expect frontline duty if the Reapers attack.

Naturally I'm talking about The Illusive Man.

Nah I wasn't dreaming. I copied the article onto my word document and saved it. I just can't verify it with a link. Which is sad because I read it before I knew her and went "eh" and now I know her and read it and go "EH??!?!?"
